“My daughter took me and the hubby here for our Thanksgiving celebration since she couldn't come home (Sac) for actual Thanksgiving, we went to her. This was a night I won't soon forget! Having a nice meal with our daughter was a treat, the service was amazing and the food....OMG! Every bite of every dish I tasted was so so delicious! - the service is average. Our server is very friendly. However, we arrived a bit early for our appointment, the server told us to wait for 10-15 min for them to get a table ready since the customers at that table about to pay.We waited for more than 30 min outside, watching new customers came in and out. The server knew we were waiting outside at the door. Then we went inside just to see why they took new customers and saw there were multiple empty tables. It's quite weird when they have available tables and still let us wait outside. It took us a while to get the server attention at the door and also at dining.“

“We ordered fish tacos and tamales. They were very well prepared. Our server was a very sweet man who was attentive enough. There was ‘no beer’. Let’s go over that again: there were four beers on the menu and none of them were available to be served. The inside dining room was modern: an open kitchen, loud music, patrons screaming at each other over the loud music.

We will likely go back. The food was great. The Paloma looks great. And we now know how to manage a visit. Which lead me to a thought.

There was going to come a time, at Michelin, when young people took over the business. That time has come: great food, great drinks, only a vague idea of how to pull them into a fine-dining experience.“

“This is authentic Tian Jin jianbing that is made of mung bean instead of flour. Mung bean is special because it has a much better texture, high in protein and fiber.The taste is great, not ontological salty and not plain, not too sweet. It is just right.Highly recommend!“

“We ate a meal of three different spring rolls (come with four halves each): the grilled fish, BBQ pork, and BBQ chicken spring rolls. They come with delicious a peanut sauce and fish sauce. The grilled fish and BBQ pork ones were our favorites! There is only a small amount of seating outside, but the service was so kind and attentive. Will definitely go back and try other dishes!“

“Funky little spot near Oakland Chinatown. Large portions and reasonable prices.
I tried the fried catfish sandwich and was absolutely floored at how much food they gave me! Literally could not fit the whole thing in my mouth and had to eat half of the ingredients with a fork before picking it back up (this is a good problem to have, lol.)

The breading for the fish is cornmeal style, which reminded me a lot of Cajun food in Eastern Texas/Louisiana. I do wish there had been a bit more kick to the flavor, but they serve the food with a bottle of buffalo sauce which does the trick.

The house-made potato chips rock. Super, super well seasoned.

Parking: Like most of the area, there’s primarily street parking. I didn’t have any issue finding a spot within a block on a Sunday afternoon.“

The best birria taco I’ve ever had (I wish I got like 5 more), and the horchata tasted super distinct and was great as well. There’s a little parking lot on the side too and an eating area in front of the truck. Ugh but yeah the birria taco is insane.“

“This is more about the management side of things. I honestly didn’t have the BEST experience with them on my last order. BUT, they went out of there way to fix things. They are new in Oakland, just getting the operation together and I’m happy to see them there. They aren’t the cheapest but, I don’t want the Dominoes or Pizza Hutt experience (or quality) and if I pay a little extra for food, I want good service to follow. In the end, they offered great service. I’m impressed.“
