“wanted to hate this place becuase the wait was so long but honestly the sushi was so freaking fresh and the rolls were massive. definitely worth the wait, id wait again. the salmon had this buttery texture that just melted.

im already planning my next trip back there, also their miso soup was really good too which i wasnt expecting from a place that focuses on rolls. definitely my new go to spot in albany“

Dry-fried string bean - ok, a bit overcooked
Coffee-glazed baby back pork ribs - not good, the sauce was ok but the ribs had very little meat and not crispy enough on the outside. Koi Palace makes a much better version.

The prices were on the expensive side for dim sum. Service was excellent. Waiting to get into the (only) restroom required lots of shuffling to make ways for staff going in/out of the kitchen and cashier's stand.“

We got the Signature Toripaitan, one original and one spicy. It was good, plenty of food and excellent flavor. It's a small and cozy restaurant, wouldn't recommend for large crowds. Get their early, pretty much at opening time or else be prepared to wait outside.“

A couple of the dessert dishes fell short for me, but overall this was one of the best meals of my life. I did feel a bit too full around halfway through the meal — perhaps the pacing was a bit too fast for me, or there were too many filling dishes in the middle. The service was amazing, very attentive and kind wait staff. They even cleaned and boxed my abalone shell for me after I asked to keep it. Overall, I’m really happy to have experienced this meal. The thin sliced veal with a sauce and capers was delicious! The fried shrimp, veggies and olives/anchovies…also with a sauce was awesome as well. For my main, I had CRESTE DI GALLO - semolina pasta - wild mushroom ragu - spinach - ricotta salata. Our waiter was the best! I saved one of the sugar cookies from my deserts…Burnt Carmel Gelato. Mentioned it to our waiter and as we were leaving, I heard “Sir! Sir!” He brought me one of their meringue cookies to also share with my partner! I thought that was just awesome! “Pretty good vegan Vietnamese food. Yknow most people don’t know that there’s a long history of plant-based cuisine in Buddhist Vietnam but there is! And it’s pretty cool and yummy if you are a curious eater.
I got the pho, which was good but a little bit overstimulating. Besides that, it’s definitely a nice choice! Very sweet broth, I assume, from all the veggies.“

The ingredients are so fresh and high quality and the food is so comforting and delicious. Prices are quite reasonable, but be aware that it is cash or venmo only. There is rarely a wait for a table, and the service is quick and friendly. It's got a homey/old school vibe and isn't a chic modern place, but that's a good match to the very homey traditional food. Highly recommend if you want a big meal that will leave you feeling great at the end.“

Having spent the first half of our life in Montréal, Québec, Canada where it was hard to find a bad restaurant, we were absolutely amazed by this Bistro which looks more like a high end dining experience. The menu online & the photos attracted us to this location but we were amazed by the well timed service, the crisp white tablecloths, the table setting and the pleasant and calm atmosphere. My choices of charcuterie platter was perfectly sized; the chicken & the pork rillettes where a wonderful surprise. My husband had an onion tart with the crust as perfect as they get & which I envied. He loved his halibut, moist and tender and I raved over my grilled half lobster, so tender that I found myself munching on the shell parts as well. My bread pudding was not of overwhelming size & perfectly flavored. Don chose the Affogato (scoop of vanilla gelato « drowned » with a shot of hot espresso). We wanted to go back today but they are closed on Sundays.?“

Going to the bathroom feels like passing through the supply closet. Decor is old and cheap. But the vegan Sesame Chicken and Mongolian Beef were superb.
