“Excellent Pizza, wine, salad, and SERVICE (our waitress was called Sophia - what a lovely person.) The price is so incredibly reasonable and the pizzas are delectable. My friend and I sat outside on a beautiful spring evening - what could be better than Benchmark pizzeria?!!“
“When your clients decide on Liholiho Yacht Club as the place to meet to design their future wedding rings ?Food is communal by nature, as a result, I was amazed by the fruitfulness our meeting yielded — as we departed, our spirits soared with inspiration and excitement for what’s to come ?“
“The service was great and super friendly. Clam chowder is awesome. Nice place to sit outside near the pier and have some oysters and drinks. The squid salad was a little bland, I think if they included more olives in it the saltiness would go a long way. Not enough of an issue for me to give less than 6 stars.“
“The best italian food in the city in my opinion! You need to make reservations well in advance but they’ve also been able to accommodate us at the bar when we walk in which is just as nice, so definitely recommend that if you’re a party of one or two. The bread is delicious, their classic ravioli is a must-try, and the gnocchi was also amazing. Indoor and outdoor seating are both super nice and comfortable, and we’ve gone for both lunch and dinner and they’re equally great experiences!“
“walked by several times, then decided to give it a try .... WOW!!!! you have to give it a try, suggest the Chef choice or book one of their special servings but that has to be done 24 hours in advance. food looked amazing and tasted better than it looked.“
“Dear Taquerowhen my husband ordered my chicken burrito, light rice, extra cheese, sour cream, no onion, extra cilantro you made a face. . .when he apologized, you said, "no problem, everyone likes their burrito how they like their burrito." you then proceeded to make one of the top 5 burritos of my life. It was perfectionion! thank you, dearest Taquero, for putting your ideals aside and making my dream burrito. you're a real one!!btw, of you live in Oakland and have never been to Taqueria El Paisa just go. . . it is one of the best in all of Oakland.“
“Scoma's was one of the highlights of my summer last year. It was at Scoma's that I discovered that I am, in fact, a Lazy Man who requires Lazy Man's Cioppino. The restaurant is lovely, tucked away on a pier. The service was wonderful -- the waitress was really nice and seemed to love the food. The lazy man's cioppino was incredible! A warm, savory, thick tomato broth with perfectly cooked seafood. The mussels and clams were so juicy and succulent. The scallops (3) were so good, fat, and tender. The shrimp was yummy and not overcooked. The fish was well cooked -- not my favorite component, but still good. And of course, no need to get down with the crab shells since the crab meat has been pre-picked. I am a lazy man and this is my cioppino of choice. Definitely worth the price! The Rockefeller oysters were meh; too much cheese and spinach. I've had better broiled oysters (Acme in NOLA!). The oysters themselves were good, but it was hard to tell under the cheese sauce. We were seated next to a couple who had moved from the Bay to the East Coast, and cited Scoma's as a reason why they missed the Bay. I definitely want to return during future visits to SF!“
“We had an incredible date night experience at AltoVino! The food was absolutely amazing. We had an appetizer per the recommendation of our lovely server Christine that was maybe the best thing I’ve ever tasted and then my husband and I both had the Pappardelle entree that definitely lived up to the hype. More than the food though, the ambiance and service really made our experience. When we had a question about what wine to get, they sent the sommelier over for us to discuss with. Both the GM and owner checked on us. It felt like a cozy family owned restaurant meets fine dining. We will definitely want to go back as soon as we can! 10/10 recommend!“
“Showed up around 10:45 on a Monday and waited 10 minutes. Thee friendliest service I've had in SF, felt like eating at my Uncles house. I've server was very accommodating and friendly, super casual and comfy service. Seafood was crazy fresh with all sorts of ways to indulge. Oysters were by far our favorites, followed by the clam chowder. A beer on tap and ice tea to wash it all down. Iconic!“
“As I was waiting hangrily 45 minutes after I placed my order and 30 minutes after the ETA on my phone this painting soothed me until I ultimately received what I drove over an hour to get. Yes, it's that good. Please order with your phone, not in person. It makes things operate more smoothly for everyone and decreases the wait time for the crack. I mean food. Well I don't know what they put in their chicken, but full disclosure you might start experiencing side effects if you don't get your fix. Consider yourself warned. It can become a pricey habit and there is no rehab to get you off their sauce. Have you twitching like Tyrone Biggums for a "Sando with training wheels".“
“Hands down THE best croissant in San Francisco. But they have so much more than that. Pates, quiches, desserts - and they all look so Parisian. Walking in is an exercise in self control. But the good news is, if you do cave in, it’s worth it!“
“I work on the island and my xo workers and I go to mersea every Friday for some great drinks and delicious fish and chips and pizza. The fried broccoli appetizers are awesome as well! To top it off the owner always comes and says hi and I’m the staff is very pleasant!“
“One of the best dumplings I've tried! The line on weekends lunch wasn't too bad, it was about 30min ish. Everything was just on point! I was shocked to see the XLB to be see through but yet it wouldn't break. My favorite was the mala spicy XLB, the soup was delicious with just a little bit of a kick of the numbing spicy flavor! The spicy red chili dumpling was filled with the nutty flavor of peanut with just a dap of chili oil for the fragrance. Hands down one of the best dumpling places that I wouldn't mind waiting in line for~“
“the place is very nice plus the view across the street is like a gigantic mirror ! you should see it for yourself !!! it really is something to look at while having your coffee.... it is spectacular !!!! and of course, the staff were super sweet !“
“Adorable place with delicious food. We had tostones, empanadas, and chicharones. All were tasty and brought to the table swiftly. My daughter had a delicious cocktail with cachasa and I had the grapefruit rosemary non alcoholic, which was refreshing and tasty. Service was charming and superb. 100% recommend!“
“Best and most delicious lunch deal (3 courses including a signature ice cream sundae) in the city. Located on the waterfront across from ferry building, Angler offers an unparalleled dining experience that seamlessly blends exquisite seafood, fresh and roast vegetables, whole chicken, and delectable steak. Each dish is a masterpiece, crafted with the freshest ingredients and meticulous attention to detail. Whether you're indulging in the tender and crispy roast chicken (like Peking duck style), savoring the flavors of the sea with their seafood specialties, or relishing the perfectly cooked steak, every bite is a journey of culinary delight. Angler truly stands out as the epitome of one of the finest dining experience in the city.“
“My server handled an entire room during a busy lunchtime shift while keeping her cool!I opted for Tacos and was able to mix it up with 1 Pulled Bison and 2 Smoked Squash served with a fresh wild green salad. Wapepah’s blue corn bread is a beautiful grainy texture and pairs great with Warm Berry Pudding. Wait…. Don’t leave without getting Frybread! Its delicate crispy exterior is perfectly balanced with its soft warm freshness, topped with a buttery finish!“
“Important news flash: they do BRUNCH in addition to incredible dinners. I could write a whole post on how amazing and lovely this is as a date spot for dinner and how much I freaking love their salads and gluten free pizzas (possibly my favorite one in the bay), but this is about brunch. We had no idea they did brunch and when we looked at the menu for it online, it didn’t list any mains. But we went anyway and were blown away. I’m adding a pic of the actual brunch menu so you can see the real selection offered.Y’all, they have a BREAKFAST PIZZA and I promise it’s even better than you would imagine. Do you like breakfast? Do you like pizza? This is a heavenly chimera of two of life’s greatest joys.?? Don’t sleep on the brunch! But also the perfect date spot. Get yourself a restaurant that can do both, and support local. The owner was there during our visit and went out of his way to create an excellent experience. Also, the patio is very dog friendly ?Dietary restrictions: The best gluten free pizzas in the area“
“The cocktails served here are amazing. I had a classic Espresso Martini, which was small, and good. Followed by a Leward Negroni. This one is made with a coconut washed bitter aperitivo, and the coconut just adds a genuine hint of exoticism to this otherwise also classical drink. This choice puts the bar to the upscaled cocktail bars in San Francisco, and the “Leward Negroni” is highly recommended. I followed with a “Chocolate Milk Wasted”, a variation of an Old Fashioned, derived from the ingenious Negroni. That one was good, but complicated with a rooibos malted milk washed bitter aperitivo. The bartenders are very experienced and nicely explain a cocktail. Definitely a recommendation when in the Bay Area.“
“There are not enough stars to describe the experience. The food was not only incredible but the presentation was beautiful. The service was magical from the hot towels to the goodie bag you go home with. The space is fabulous and I would go back in a heartbeat ?“
“Yes!! Tarocco is the restaurant that we all needed but didn’t know! So fresh and healthy and delicious. Upscale enough for a nice work lunch but you can also show up as you are. Bravo!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free and dairy-free friendly.“
“Nestled in the vibrant streets of San Francisco, The Coffee Movement is a true gem for coffee lovers. With its cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, it's the perfect spot to start your day or unwind after a long one. But what truly sets this place apart is the coffee itself. Each cup is crafted with care and precision, resulting in a rich, flavorful experience that will keep you coming back for more. Whether you're a seasoned coffee connoisseur or just looking for a pick-me-up, The Coffee Movement has something special brewing just for you.“
“Probably my favorite lunch in the East Bay right now. Fresh hearty healthy delicious colorful. Food is clearly prepared with love and creativity and the people working were super kind. They have juice and espresso, it's in a bright beautiful space with tasteful decor. Totally reasonable prices - especially for the quality. Really what more could you ask for? 5000 stars ;)“
“Donuts are definitely the best in town! Cute lil dog friendly place in the Laurel/Allendale district. There was an employee who gushed over my frenchie while we were there. Always friendly service. If you haven't had a cronut you will not regret the decision. My favorite is the salted caramel! This delicious box plus a latte for around $30 including a generous tip. I just love this place!“
“So this was probably the best smoked salmon sandwich I had in my life so far. The Brazilian cream cheese is so good with the salmon! The coffee with milk didn't need sugar, it's just so refreshing on its own.I tried a small bite of the Veggie omelet, and the tapioca crepe is so good, and the omelet is even better.Highly recommended at the fisherman's wharf, with a order by number service, in a good location, I'm gonna say you have to try it here!Vegetarian options: You can get vegetarian options that are clearly marked. Pretty sure you can make minor substitutions, but you'll have to ask!“
“I finally got to try Bake Sum! The bakery was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. Because of the small standing room, it was sort of hard to tell who was waiting on their order and who was still in line. They also offer few gift items along the wall, including Taiwanese chocolates, matcha powder, greeting cards, and cute shopping bags just to name a few that I saw. There is no seating, but luckily Lake Merritt is close by, and the perfect spot for a picnic. On a Saturday you might also finding seat at the Farmer's Market a block away. We tried the jasmine milk bun, pandan milk bun, ube cookie, and a coffee. It was around 11:30am on a Saturday and they were already low on inventory (when I got to the front I hear them say they JUST ran out of sesame cookies and I ordered one of the last jasmine milk buns). Of everything I tried I liked the jasmine milk bun the most, it was quite fragrant (just the way I like my jasmine flavored things)! These milk buns reminded me of my favorite melon milk buns that I had in Japan. I have no idea if they make them here...but that would be a dream to have that right here in the neighborhood! I will definitely plan on coming earlier next time so I have more of a selection to choose from.“
“Wonderful gem in Oakland's Jack London Square that pours the best pint of Guinness in the Bay Area. Great cozy atmosphere, helpful service, and delicious authentic food. In addition to Guinness and Irish Whiskey, my wife and I shared a plate of fish and chips, which made the perfect afternoon meal. Can't wait to come back again and again.“
“Deli Board is a short walk from where I live and we were craving sandwiches so we checked it out. The shop itself is just a storefront, at the moment they don't have seating. We ordered two items, the Carzle Sando and the waffle fries with Mick sauce. The Carzle sando was nothing short of phenomenal. It had different meats, Romanian pastrami and brisket. The provolone cheese melts and compliments the meats really nicely. The waffle fries were also nice and crispy, and paired really nicely with the sauce. My gripe is that it is so pricy, the Carzle is $23. But the thing is that it is so dam good that it really feels worth every penny.“
“It’s not the best coffee in North Beach, but it’s hands down the best atmosphere for chilling or working. Iced coffee could be larger for the price tbh. The matcha isn’t good but their black drip coffee gets me buzzing. Also I wish they stayed open till 5 so I could finish out my day here!“
“OK, I haven't actually been to the shop. But... Scullery does pop ups at our office several days a week in Mission Bay. The baristas are real cool and always friendly. Coffee is always great, and everytime they introduce a new drink, it's fire. Next time I'm in the area, I will totally stop by the actual shop. Thanks guys for always taking care of my work folks and I.“
“Great food, great staff, upscale yet casual feel. Everyone can feel welcomed here. We needed a last minute reservation for a group of 6 for brunch. Coffee cocktails excellent brunch food have high chair and changing table for babies as well. loved their take on all the European food. Really friendly and helpful staff.“
“The entire evening was perfect - the service, excellent; the explanations of each course was right on; the food, outstanding; the wine list, perfect. In other words, it was an excellent experience. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff went out of their way to make the birthday special - from a hand written birthday card to a surprise additional birthday sweet with candle at the end. In addition the staff was very careful to meet our dietary restrictions. I cannot state more than this: it was noteworthy and will return.“
“Good food and cocktails! We've gone here about 5 times, and always leave happy. The menu seems to change throughout the year, always tempting us with a new drink or dish when we come. Great outdoor seating space. They also host different events including a karaoke night we went to a bit back that was a lot of fun.“
“We tried chicken and pork. Both were soooo good. The taste is picante and the prices are affordable. We live in Walnut Creek but ready to come here again and again only for this place. The guys who work here also were so welcoming and polite. Hope you would have many many loyal customers!“
“Quite literally the best Mediterranean food in the Bay Area!! If you're lucky enough to enjoy some Fava, you're quite lucky indeed. The falafel is crispy and all the ingredients are sourced carefully and the resulting quality is phenomenal!Jeremy and his wife are amazing and the kindest business owners I have come across in Berkeley - they really put the love into the food they serve. My go to's are the Falafel Flatbread Sandwich, Escarole Salad With Blood Oranges, and the Mango Lassi to wash it down. The perfect lunch on Saturday 10/10 would recommend to a friend!Thank you FAVA for bringing such an amazing food staple to Berkeley“
“Came across this spot on DoorDash and was not dissapointed. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and truffle fries and a side of loaded mac n cheese. First of all let me say the portions are HUGE! Secondly, everything was packed with FLAVOR. Definitely will be paying this spot a visit in person.“
“One of the best wine bars in the city! Totally unpretentious, incredibly welcoming, and always a good time. The menu has a few changes regularly and there's ALWAYS a fantastic and varied wine selection. You can tell that every person who works here is passionate and loves what they do, one of the true gems of North Beach.Great spot for a romantic date in the evening, perfect place to chill with friends in the afternoon. Highly recommend the tastings - especially on Wednesdays! If you get a chance to take a class DO IT! You'll learn so much!“
“Amazing service!!! Every employee is really nice! ? the first impression is when I went in the smell really takes you in and makes you eat every bread. I tried the cream danish and literally its a amazing and melts in your mouth. The taro crepe cake and the strawberry one are amazing!! The crepe cakes are a little bit expensive $12 each bit worth it. The drinks are big and good price. The ambience is nice and relaxing. The place is small and parking not very available.“
“Solid place, but not all that special. Maybe I didn't order any of their really unique stuff, so that's on me. I like that they have a wide variety of hot sauces.I don't really like that between credit card fees, a 18 percent default tip, and the tip being calculated after tax and fees, things cost like 36 percent more than their listed price (rather than the standard 25).“
“As soon as my husband and I walked in, the owner welcomed us with a warm smile. We both tried the cheeseburger, the fries, the chicken nuggets, and jalapeño poppers. The food was delicious and the service is excellent. We will definitely be back the next time we visit.“
“Atwater tavern is the go to spot of Mission Bay! Warriors game ✅ Giants Game ✅ Special Events ✅ Great Drinks, Nice sized portions.Cheeseburger, Chicken Wings, Steak & Shrimp, Flatbread Pizzas all things to try at this place.Parking: Atwater has free and paid spacesKid-friendliness: Yes plenty of kid options availableWheelchair accessibility: Accessible and available. Always suggested to call ahead for guaranteed comfort“
“The flat white was quite good, and best of all, it didn't burn my mouth when I first took a sip. That's how you know your barista is great! I also got the banana bread, which was delicious, as well. All around worth the trip and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town. The only thing is I wish the chairs looked a little comfier and I might be more inclined to stick around and enjoy my coffee.“
“Tasty mexican food in North Beach. It was pretty early - like 5:30 pm - and the place was empty, so the orders delivery was fast. We had a burrito (big!) and some tacos with carne asada (portion of three), a cheese enchilada and tacos with guacamole. Everything was really tasty, maybe a little hard to digest (more than other mexican experiences) but I have to say I was really hungry and I ate fast. This food plus two margaritas was like 72$ without tip and I think it’s pretty expensive (it was the most expensive dinner in a almost two weeks trip in and around San Francisco so I think it’s something worth to say). Not so happy with that.Other things: the neighborhood is pretty great, the location is just okay (it doesn’t recall authenticity but it looks more like a franchise fast food); service is a bit cold but kind so nothing to whine about (it’s just an observation). So yeah if you’re hungry, price it’s not a problem and you aren’t looking for a “traditional” kind of thing, this is the place!“
“I eat everything and did not miss meat at all at this delicious restaurant. The food is as tasty as the pictures are beautiful. I can't recommend highly enough and can't wait to go back. I'm nearby now and only wish they were open for breakfast!“
“I've been meaning to try Bombera for awhile, so I was excited to finally get the chance to check them out. I ended up getting the fish tacos, duck, and mango gem salad and splitting it all with a friend. First off, the mango salad was excellent, very citrus forward and flavorful. It's pretty much the same recipe the chef used during their Cosecha days. The fish tacos were huge and fried well. The duck dish was also super tasty, although I wish the portion was a bit larger since most items here are meant to be shared family style. I thought the general vibe was quite nice. Definitely a packed and chatty atmosphere with lots of outdoor seating. They even had blankets in case customers seated outside were cold. I would say that Bombera offers some tasty food options and great atmosphere. I do wish some of the portions were slightly larger given the price point, but that doesn't detract from the food quality itself. I'll be coming back to try more dishes!“
“Wow, this is some of the most remarkable food. The wait staff is very helpful and descriptive. All of the food was fresh. The seating in the restaurant (indoor and outdoor) can feel a little crammed but it is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in SF. The Bikini eggplant sandwich is top notch. Making reservations on google/yelp is also very easy!“
“Palette Tea House & Dim Sum is a winner. Located in the Ghirardelli (Chocolate) Square in downtown San Francisco, the dim sum is artfully hand crafted to perfection. The ingredients are fresh; mushrooms hand picked locally; premium wagyu steak; refined Jasmine tea; calming ambience; professional staff; delectable flavors. Highly recommended. Good luck with street parking ?“
“the pizza was to die for, absolutely loved the sauce on the margarita! highly recommend the cauliflower as well. Only negative was that we went on a very crowded friday evening (with reservations) and the service wasn't the best, and it was extremely loud inside the restaurant“
“Algerian baked goods and sweets at their best! Incredibly, this tiny sidewalk cafe makes all their own pastries and sweets on-site. The owner/baker/muffin maker is almost always there, making community and croissant sandwiches. Seating on the sidewalk will, with great good luck, be upgraded soon with a parklet.“
“Delicious food. Amazing service. And great portions. We got the poke bowls; they were great!! We also got the 3 amigos special roll, green tea, miso soup, and salmon nigiri. All amazing!! Our server was nice, quick, and very attentive. Always making sure our tea was hot and we were well covered. A couple outdoor tables, and a good amount of indoor. Tons of take out action. They have cool purple rice as a signature. And the fish was very tasty! Highly recommend. There is a good sized parking lot next to the restaurant. Just be sure to park with caution; the neighboring Ace hardware brings a lot of turn over of large work trucks that have some challenges with the parking lot. This is a great spot!!Vegetarian options: Tons of veg optionsDietary restrictions: Tons of veg optionsParking: Street parking and a lot both free!Kid-friendliness: Yes!Wheelchair accessibility: A bit tight, but I believe it is Ada compliant“
