“Having lived in the nearby section of the East Bay my entire life, it was shocking when a friend offered for us to join at a very local winery. Right up until the point of parking, I was still skeptical; and then we were at Four Fools Winery. This winery is interesting in that, IMO it is good at a little bit of everything while no particular mastery. The location is not at all far from the water and so provides a nice view for those that want to pay attention. But nice is about it, factually there is no conversation level view like of the GGB or the SF skyline. But thats ok. Parking is on gravel so heel-wearers be cautious. The entrance is basic and local-feeling, not all flashy like other places roughly an hour or so northeast. The benefit of this though would be to support local artists and talent and to buy souvenirs and trinkets that reflect the local culture, not Am@z0n. Staff was kind and talkative to the amount you the patron wants to be talkative, they kinda match your energy. And of course, the wine. The flight was good. The wines differed in flavor and texture so that in itself is always interesting. But nothing jumped out to really grab attention, and the flight could have been a little larger. Again, rating of good. So why go to Four Fools Winery? Two reasons for me. One - proximity. For where we live, this is way closer than Napa, Sonoma, Livermore, Santa Rosa or anywhere else. Cutting traffic time, distance, bridges and gas makes a big impact. And the view is still good if not grande. Two - balance. One more star would come if Four Fools really excelled in one or two areas. Instead everything is "good". However there is a value in that. Nothing is bad, and with everything good there is a sense of basic balance which in itself is a plus. And we plan to go back ourselves, so good isn't an acronym for something lesser or negative. So don't be a fool and pass up this local discovery, be a fool for Four Fools and get in there for a relaxing good time.“

The crispy cauliflower was really good dipped in the garlic aioli that came with the lamb burger sliders which my sister in law thought were good. My brother got the short ribs which looked delicious and I will order it next time. My brother said they tasted great. Sadly he doesn't like to share.“

“Delicious food. Amazing service. And great portions. We got the poke bowls; they were great!! We also got the 3 amigos special roll, green tea, miso soup, and salmon nigiri. All amazing!! Our server was nice, quick, and very attentive. Always making sure our tea was hot and we were well covered. A couple outdoor tables, and a good amount of indoor. Tons of take out action. They have cool purple rice as a signature. And the fish was very tasty! Highly recommend. There is a good sized parking lot next to the restaurant. Just be sure to park with caution; the neighboring Ace hardware brings a lot of turn over of large work trucks that have some challenges with the parking lot. “Cozy, mom&pop style Thai restaurant in downtown Vallejo. Went there for lunch with a couple of friends, its decorated nicely inside, and you can seat yourself if its not busy. Our waiter was friendly and slightly confused by one of my friends commenting on how much he liked the spiderman decoration in the men's restroom; if they had followed the same theme in the women's. He laughed and said no....they thought about Barbie or Hello Kitty...but decided to stay neutral. Getting to our food....I loved what I ordered which was the Thai basil chicken...the sauce was so flavorful, couldve used just a little more steamed rice to mop it up, but tasty none the less. “Stopped by randomly during a commute from SSF to Vallejo on a week day. A friendly gentleman was running the place. I ordered the traditional acai bowl which was $13 for a small size. It was different from other acai bowls I've had as it had condensed milk and powdered milk. I loved condensed milk and powdered milk as a kid - so my inner child was jumping for joy as I ate the entire thing. It was topped with fresh bananas and strawberries. Delicious. Would come back here to support this small business. Bathroom was clean too.“
“I have only been here once but was amazed. This is an example of a business on overdrive. These folks know what they are doing. It is as well designed and organized machine as I have ever witnessed. The almond croissant was to die for and the pricey chai wasn't half bad either. The cozy back porch with the tree growing out of the middle makes you feel like you're in a treehouse. I had Biscuit and Brisket (no photos too busy enjoying the food) and a margarita. Seriously everything was delicious!! So flavorful. Service was great. They sat us at a larger table so we wouldn't have to wait longer and our server was attentive and fast. We're definitely going back for dinner. “One of the best breweries in the bay. I was holding off on giving a review as I stopped going here for a while because of the lack of customer service. I came back a year later and I’m glad to say it’s improved.Beers are anything from IPA’s to traditional German and at times English. For reference I hate IPA’s so I am reviewing the great non IPA beers. They usually will serve some beer that can only be sold on draft exclusively at the brewery where most of the beers can be purchased at liquor stores in cans. But as every beer drinker knows it’s better in draft.The inside is great and spacey with lots of large tables. Plenty of games and kid friendly both in and outside. The outside is especially great as there is a long narrow area with a fire pit, tables, and no cars can drive down it besides the food truck. I usually have my kid playing with a ball or scooter down this area and feel completely safe about it.Overall amazing beer, great ambiance, and very family friendly. Btw I am very picky in beer so this a god review for me and I have been to most of the breweries in the bay.“

“I celebrated my birthday here with a small group of friends yesterday. 10/10 recommend for a local tasting. The tasting room was beautiful- I wish I took photos in there! After the tasting we snapped a few photos out by the vines and enjoyed a couple bottles of wine. Bob was a great host and played music while my group chatted and enjoyed the first fall-feeling day with the sun whipping in and out from behind the clouds here and there. I can't finish this review without mentioning the delicious charcuterie board that Bob prepared for us. Yum! Definitely will return for the holidays and bring the family.“

So when we were in the area again but earlier we decided to give it a shot and boy were we glad. The pizza birria was like a multilayered quesadilla filled with birria and cheese with a side of soup. Filled with onions and topped with cucumber and radishes + add yourself lime and salsa. It was fantastic and we polished off the whole thing with two people. Will be back to try other things. I placed my order on Sunday morning at 1am and waited patiently to pick up my 3 day Rookie Cleanse on Monday. I didn't intend to fast. Juice, tea and a light meal in the evening is all I could muster. The 5 juices, 1 milk and elixir are a lot. I drank juice during the day and had a vegan meal in the evening. It took more than 3 days to go through all of it. I believe the juices helped me bounce back from my trip.I didn't find the juices to be expensive. And, they aren't watered down. My favorites are Beet Treat and Citrus Sea. I will definitely be back for more juice and become a regular customer.“

“This place is hidden in the cuts but worth the drive for some good barbecue. From the freeway exit N/B 680 it's only one turn right turn a maybe a 2 minute drive. From S/B 680 it may be 5 minutes more if that. It's kind of hidden but there is a big sign you can't miss if you're looking. They have a small parking lot and take orders through the screen door. There is outside seating and tables if you choose to eat there. I placed my order after looking over the menu outside and my food was ready really quick. The 2 way combo was $25 which was understandable and reasonable for the portion sizes and inflation. My only gripe may be on what they consider potato salad which was more like a loaded baked potato. The flavor of the chicken and ribs were delicious. The ribs were tender and neither were burned or over cooked. I also like that they put the barbecue sauce in containers for you to add to your food as you like. The Mac and cheese was pretty good too but could have used a bit more seasoning to it. Otherwise I like this place and the staff are very nice as well. Oh yeah, they didn't have the lumpia that day“

Next, the taste and texture CHANGED me to a CAKE CONVERT. PERFECT! Last, there was a hiccup in the order. One detail was overlooked. There was no time given to assessing the blame. They simply fixed the problem and sent me in my way. All this and the cake was deliciously vegan. The salad consisted of mixed greens, avocado slices, cherry tomatoes, a semi-hardboiled egg, and asparagus topped off with two skewers of grilled shrimp. The Louie dressing was served on the slide.
