wanted to hate this place becuase the wait was so long but honestly the sushi was so freaking fresh and the rolls were massive. definitely worth the wait, id wait again. the salmon had this buttery texture that just melted.
im already planning my next trip back there, also their miso soup was really good too which i wasnt expecting from a place that focuses on rolls. definitely my new go to spot in albany
I love this place.
The problem is the Kensington Roll is so delicious that it’s hard for me to try other things.
My partner and I also like saba… and they’re Saba mackerel is magnificent!
The service is fantastic and the place is small but adorable and casual.
It has a few outside tables in the town of Kensington, which is very cute.
Excellent rolls with plenty of delicious vegetarian options.

The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, perfect for small groups of 2 to 4 people, with a few outdoor tables and a good-sized parking lot next to the restaurant. It's a kid-friendly spot with wheelchair accessibility, although the bathroom can be hard to find. Diners have enjoyed the Hamachi Kama, which is cooked to perfection and worth the wait, as well as the Herbivore Dinosaur roll, which was a favorite among guests. Overall, Sakana Sushi & Roll is a great spot for a meal out, with prices that may be a bit steep for the portion size, but many feel the quality justifies it.
