“When people say a place is 'a hole in the wall', it can go two ways. In this case, it means intimate, small and you hope it's not crowded when you go because there are more fans than seats.

We got lucky, and went before (5pm) the crowd flooded in immediatelyafter we ordered. There was only one Hamachi Kama in the house, and we were the fortunate ones to have tasted it. It's clear this fish wasn't previously frozen, (if it was, they knew how to mask it) it was flaky, super fresh and flavorful.

Each piece of the Kensington roll was SO large, I'm embarrassed to share a photo of me cramming it in my mouth, because it was impossible to be graceful.

The beer with a hint of peach was a must try, it perfectly paired with everything we ordered.

All of the great reviews of how good this place is, were true, including mine.

“I love Inn Kensington. I've gone there for decades and their breakfasts and brunches have never disappointed me. Their omelettes are exquisite, their homemade bread is delicious, and the service is excellent.
For lunch, I love their corn-cilantro, pancake.
Not only do they have incredibly fast service, But they're also very flexible about your order. For example, I always get black beans instead of potatoes on the side because their black beans are exquisite.

“It's soo hard to find good vegan tacos. I am very picky and a vegan meat snob. Visited this place for the first time today. The mushroom pastor tacos were PERFECT. So good. Portions are great, reasonably priced. Only thing is finding parking is a little tricky but that's typical of anywhere in the bay. Will be back for sure.“

“Mensho is definitely not worth the wait in my opinion. The line is usually 45min-1hr long. Coupled with the fact that parking is hard to find and the restraunt is tiny and cramped, you are better off going to marufuku or hinodeya.

I had the spicy GKO. Compared to the other garlic ramen I have had in ramenagi this was ok. The chasu is belly slices like marufuku and not the spiral rolled belly cross section which I prefer since it falls apart more easily.

They don't give you a lot of toppings on the ramen. There is no ajitama or menma in the default. Given that the price point is higher than other sf ramens this doesn't seem like value for money.

Clearly other people disagree since there is a line out the door but also the restraunt is tiny so this could be artificial scarcity and the insta hype cycle.“

I got especially excited when I learned the kitchen is fully gluten-free. Everything we ordered was a banger, their food (and drinks!) absolutely delivered.

“Had a luncheon @ Perbacco with my 9 coworkers and Manager to say “goodbye & farewell” to a retiring coworker and “welcome” to a new coworker. Started with a round of hors d'oeuvre’s. The thin sliced veal with a sauce and capers was delicious! The fried shrimp, veggies and olives/anchovies…also with a sauce was awesome as well. For my main, I had CRESTE DI GALLO - semolina pasta - wild mushroom ragu - spinach - ricotta salata. Our waiter was the best! I saved one of the sugar cookies from my deserts…Burnt Carmel Gelato. Mentioned it to our waiter and as we were leaving, I heard “Sir! Sir!” He brought me one of their meringue cookies to also share with my partner! I thought that was just awesome! “Yesterday, was a great day as my hungry husband and I crossed into Zuni Cafe. It was his first time and I wanted him to love Zuni as I have loved Zuni these past two decades. Zuni never disappoints. We ate upstairs by a window looking out on Rose. our waiters were all professional and fun and the paella was exceptional. of course, Zuni makes the best traditional Caesar salad--bright and fresh and without the mountain of parmesan you so often receive in lesser locales. thank you for a wonderful memory for us.“

The roasted cauliflower with red beet tahini, broccoli with chimichurri and toasted garlic, and sweet potato with chimichurri were all delicious!

The whole rotisserie chicken was just OK. It was a little dry and not very seasoned on its own. It came with two sauces, and I chose the chimichurri and chipotle yogurt. The sauces definitely made the chicken much better, but I wouldn’t want to eat the chicken by itself.“

They offer three different sizes, so you can gorge on as much or as little as you want. I appreciate that the lobster meat is as close to the original form as can be…there was a small claw on my roll. I prefer this to the chopped up lobster salads where it may not all be lobster. And I always remember the celery seasoning on top. It’s unique and delicious. The bread roll was amazing, and the meal includes a bag of chips and a drink, as well as pickles. Truly one of the most delicious I’ve had in a long time. I won’t wait to go back to Luke’s when I’m craving a lobster rolls.“

Having spent the first half of our life in Montréal, Québec, Canada where it was hard to find a bad restaurant, we were absolutely amazed by this Bistro which looks more like a high end dining experience. The menu online & the photos attracted us to this location but we were amazed by the well timed service, the crisp white tablecloths, the table setting and the pleasant and calm atmosphere. My choices of charcuterie platter was perfectly sized; the chicken & the pork rillettes where a wonderful surprise. My husband had an onion tart with the crust as perfect as they get & which I envied. He loved his halibut, moist and tender and I raved over my grilled half lobster, so tender that I found myself munching on the shell parts as well. My bread pudding was not of overwhelming size & perfectly flavored. Don chose the Affogato (scoop of vanilla gelato « drowned » with a shot of hot espresso). We wanted to go back today but they are closed on Sundays.?“

“I had the opportunity to enjoy their food at a recent pop-up restaurant put on by La cucina in San Francisco! their cuisine is Algerian and very delicious! I have never had the chance to experience this particular cuisine and now I cannot wait until they open the Municipal Marketplace in San Francisco's tenderloin neighborhood! expected to open in July, KAYMA will be one of the stalls featured there. absolutely every morsel I tried at that dinner was delicious but they're brined black olives were incredible! hoping they will have them available in jars to take home!“
