About Mensho Tokyo SF

Mensho Tokyo SF is a popular spot for ramen lovers, known for its exceptional bowls of noodles despite potential long wait times. The restaurant offers several vegan options, including three varieties of vegan ramen, with flavors that are rich and unique. Standout dishes include the Matcha Tori Paitan Ramen and the A5 Wagyu Ramen, featuring tender and fatty meat. The menu also includes fried “chicken” made from oyster mushrooms, which is highly praised and often thought about long after visiting. Customers have described the signature ramen as divine, with perfectly cooked eggs, and enjoyed creative dishes like duck matcha that are fun but may keep you awake. The restaurant’s small size and popularity often lead to queues outside, but most agree that the flavors and cozy, warm atmosphere make the wait worthwhile. The ambiance features dim lighting and communal seating, creating a comfortable environment. Many visitors appreciate the quick service and the variety of Japanese beers available, adding a refreshing touch to the experience. While some find the noodles slightly chewy and portions small for the price, the overall experience, especially the memorable flavors, makes Mensho Tokyo SF a favorite among ramen enthusiasts.

Mensho is definitely not worth the wait in my opinion. The line is usually 45min-1hr long. Coupled with the fact that parking is hard to find and the restraunt is tiny and cramped, you are better off going to marufuku or hinodeya.

I had the spicy GKO. Compared to the other garlic ramen I have had in ramenagi this was ok. The chasu is belly slices like marufuku and not the spiral rolled belly cross section which I prefer since it falls apart more easily.
