“The location is right next to a gas station, so it’s probably not the best spot if you’re looking to hang out with friends or have a date night. But don’t let the location fool you—the moment I pulled up, I could smell the food from the parking lot, and it smelled amazing.

The customer service was exceptional. The gentleman who helped me even gave me complimentary black tea with spices while I waited. It was piping hot and had a really good flavor. My food also came out fairly quickly.

I ordered the chicken shawarma plate, which came with seasoned chicken, rice, pita bread, hummus, and a creamy garlic sauce on the side. Everything was hot, flavorful, and well seasoned without being overdone. I was a little surprised that the chicken was shredded since I expected larger grilled pieces, but it was still delicious and had plenty of flavor.

The hummus was especially good—it honestly tasted homemade—and the creamy garlic sauce went perfectly with everything. Overall, the great service and delicious food definitely made up for the location. I’d come back for the food and hospitality.“

What really makes this place special is Sam. He’s the kind of person who remembers your face and name, your usual order, and makes you feel like more than just a customer. Honestly, at this point, I’m convinced he should just run for mayor of Richmond.

It's safe to say that many people in the Rich know about Phila Burger for good reason. But if you’re coming from outside of Richmond, do yourself a favor and give this place (and the city) a chance. If there’s one meal that’ll win you over, it’s right here.

“It's nice little burger joint. There's no parking lot (that I saw) so you need to find street parking.

I ordered two single burgers, one with cheese and one without. It gives that homemade burger flavor which I enjoy, but it was missing a littke something to tie it together.

I also got the tallow fries, which were really good! My mom found them a bit salty though (I do have a higher salt threshold so...). I like the slightly beefy taste and the crispness it gave the fries.

We also got the sweet potato fries! They're waffle cut and were simple and good!

The wait was very short, definitely under 10 minutes. The cashier (i think the receipt said Eduardo?) Was kinda and straight to the point.

“Let me start off by saying I was in the area of Vallejo, which I am all the time. Decided to eat at this place for the first time. Pleasantly surprised one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. I ordered the double smash, classic and cheese fries. Proportions were very good and I personally cook smash burgers and they are hard to be topped and these are right in line. Pricing on these was very fair. Burger plus cheese, fries and medium drink 20 bucks. Not sure where you can eat and get quality like this anymore.“

They make their own pastrami and use it for hash! Every bite of pastrami was so tender, meaty, and flavorful. I prefer it to any corned beef hash. It was Father’s Day and very busy but the staff were all individually friendly, calm, organized, attentive and really worked well together as a team! They really had some very special items on the menu (mimosa flights etc). I can’t wait to try pastrami sandwich for lunch/dinner. Burgers are always reliable, juicy, flavorful and substantial. Excellent fries, salads, tacos and cocktails!! Recommend 100% for a casual but well crafted menu, indoor/outdoor seating and friendly attentive service!“

The polish with grilled onions is the best and you can take it into Cullen's Pub next door so you can have it with a beer on-tap. I’d stop there with my uncle Jimmy Nolan sometimes as well in his semi truck. I was just a kid. I’ll be up in Vallejo next week delivering a load to Mare Island. If I can find a place to park my truck and trailer legally, I’ll stop in for breakfast.“

We just love Jerusalem Organic Kitchen for a consistently well prepared meal, friendly staff, and really good ingredients! They serve a quick, casual, healthy, and absolutely delicious meal. Everything we have tried is great with balanced seasonings. My personal favorite is the Shawarma Platter. Don't miss the perfectly prepared salmon platter with a generous serving of salmon that won't set you back an arm and a leg. The salad with chicken shawarma on top is great too. And they, of course, prepare a great middle eastern platter and falafel platter. And if all you want is a sandwich or burger - you won't be disappointed. Get the idea?
