“The BEST burger plave I've tired in the BayArea, by farrrr. I got the Bigi'Western combo with onion rings, wings and a milkshake. The burger was so juicy and delicious and the mango habenero wings were really good. This is my new go to spot for either wings or a burger. Highlyyyyy recommend. Everyone I've put on, loves it.“

“OG Burger on Solano is absolutely worth the stop. I asked the gentleman behind the counter what he would order for himself, and he recommended the double bulgogi burger. I told him to make it the way he would for himself, and it came out dialed in.

What stood out is that it was not a standard American smashburger. Instead of the usual profile, it leaned into Korean fusion flavors. The bulgogi added a deep, savory sweetness that worked perfectly with the crispy smashed patties. It felt intentional and different in a good way.

He gave me a light sauce on the side that paired extremely well. I did not catch the name, but it had a vinaigrette style tang that balanced the richness of the meat and brought everything together.

I also ordered the loaded fries, and they were just as strong. As far as smashburger spots go, this one separates itself by doing something different and doing it well. I would definitely have it again.“

It was made fresh to order with sizable portion of fries and packaged neatly with little to no mess unwrapping it all. The location is great and central to a lot of other options but im glad I made my way here. Next time I want to try the Persian burger!

“I have heard about this restaurant from friends so I went to try it, it is a sit-eat-and-go place I have tried the Persian burger and it taste good it looks like a kafta kabab taste. As a Lebanese and food lover I was impressed with the hummus the taste was good but the Tabboule didn’t meet my expectations because you shouldn’t have cucumber and lettuce as also it needs more lemon juice.
It was a nice experience, and I would go again if got the chance.“

“We had the Voodoo and the Moroccan burgers at the restaurant and they were great! The curly fries were crispy and tasty. The owner, Kamran, came by our table and chatted with us, which was a really nice touch. He was super friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience and we’ll definitely be back!“

“Burger delicious customer service was beyond poor. The cashier didn't smile or say thank you. I had questions and didn't even ask in fear of being snapped on. He was extremely rude and seems like just to women. Men came in and he smiled ans talked to them . I needed ketchup I asked please he threw it on the counter and didn't say nothing. Maybe san jose location is better ... poor service will make me never visit this location again“

“This place has absolutely amazing burgers! I come all the way out here from SF every once in awhile just to get some! I haven’t really tried much else on the menu but my friend got the wings and really enjoyed those as well, I did get to try the steak fries which I would definitely say to avoid they are pretty soggy and the cheese sauce isn’t very good, but I’ll continue coming back here and recommending it because it’s hard to find an actually good burger around here! Plus it’s a great area to go with friends cause there is tons of food options and also bars to hangout at! Just be ready cause it can get pretty busy over here on the weekends!“

“Had to check out Cals tonight with some friends while on the town! The food was great! We got the Mac & Chicken and the Chicken sandwich’s. One thing to be aware about is the price. However for those more expensive items the portions are HUGE! Definitely a good place to stop while visiting Berkeley!“

“This has become my favorite brewery to refresh after a bicycle ride across the Berkeley/Oakland hills. They have a huge beer selection and offer all kinds of tasty sandwiches in a relaxing garden atmosphere. I usually order a hefeweizen (relatively low on alcohol) to make it up Grizzly Peak again. After a stronger beer consumption there is always the North Berkeley BART station around the corner as last resort.“

I was looking for a sit-down kind of place so I moved on I’m figuring I’ll be back, but wanted folks to know about this in case like me you were looking for a different dining experience. “We live in this neighborhood and if you know the North Shattuck and Northbrae Neighborhoods, there is no shortage of walkable dining. We just love Jerusalem Organic Kitchen for a consistently well prepared meal, friendly staff, and really good ingredients! They serve a quick, casual, healthy, and absolutely delicious meal. Everything we have tried is great with balanced seasonings. My personal favorite is the Shawarma Platter. Don't miss the perfectly prepared salmon platter with a generous serving of salmon that won't set you back an arm and a leg. The salad with chicken shawarma on top is great too. And they, of course, prepare a great middle eastern platter and falafel platter. And if all you want is a sandwich or burger - you won't be disappointed. Get the idea? We like their food and for good reason - they don't try to be all things to all people - they do middle eastern cuisine and do it really well. Try it - you'll like it!“

“Cali’s in Berkeley truly blessed my family this Thanksgiving. If it wasn’t for their generosity and kindness our Thanksgiving wouldn’t have been same. My family was gifted a Thanksgiving meal and it came at a time we truly needed it. The week prior to receiving this amazing meal our family was on the news about food insecurity. I’m deeply grateful for the love and community spirit they showed my family.
We weren’t just gifted food it was the entire meal down to the smallest details like the turkey was brined and stuffed with butter and herbs, the green beans had loads of Parmesan cheese and please know that is not a complaint the cheese to green bean ratio was perfect, the gravy was so flavorful and everything was incredibly fresh. It was the best turkey I had ever had. The meal was incredible. The portions were truly family size. It was a very thoughtful meal that felt very elegant. It even came with broth to moisten everything. It fed a family of 7 and everyone had left overs. I can’t forget to mention it came with a huge pumpkin pie and instructions on how to reheat everything properly, and it was extremely easy to bake.
This made our thanksgiving actually filled with fun and as the host I wasn’t stressed at all, dinner was easy and delicious. It was the best Thanksgiving we’ve had in quite some time.
