“We had dinner there tonight (3/14/24) for the first time and we will be back. Two of the most interesting and truly delicious sandwiches we have ever eaten. I can't remember what mine was called, but it had chicken (roasted perfectly), sauerkraut, cheese and other awesome stuff on a grilled rye bread that was excellent. My bride had the turkey sandwich and loved it. But the star of the show were the Tater Tots. Perfectly crisp with BBQ sauce to dip them in and then into some wonderful real bacon bits. Every tot stayed crisp from the first to the last. The meal was worth every penny and more. Get into the Alameda location and try it. You won't be sorry. PS: The only bad part for me is that we live in Seattle and won't be back down until May. But you can bet I will be eating here then.“

“First off this has been at this location for years and it’s definitely time for some of the booth back cushions to be replaced. I went here for breakfast on 11/2/24 and our waitress Carla was absolutely awesome. I think the location was short staffed and I have to admit Carla was working her butt off providing great service to all the patrons she was assigned all over the whole restaurant. She stayed smiling and was still attentive to us and that’s really cool and she was in costume. The food was really good and came out pretty fast due to the place having lots of folks. Only thing you gotta watch out for is the pricing on the Build Your Own Omelette. Each thing you add is 3.00 on top of the 15.00 omelette price and at most other Iphop it’s only 1.29 for each ingredient added.“

“Lots of great memories eating with the kids at this Shake Shack on Bay Street. We picked Shake Shack for a party too - when we placed the large catering order, John and team made the whole process easy including selecting items and on-time delivery. It was a big hit with everyone!“

“Amazing service and a small, clean atmosphere. The restaurant seats 18 people max, with one table seating 6, 2 tables sitting 4, and 4 single spots to sit facing the window. The patty was slightly disappointing on the “Cheezburger”, but the fries made up for it. Would definitely go again!“

“I live in the Plaza neighborhood and it is so nice to have a quality burger joint in walking distance. They literally have any conceived burger combination you could possibly want. The people are fantastic and polite. Of course the food is always incredible.“

One time, I arrived to pick up my order & the guy at the register realized the cook had forgotten to include my fries. They started making them & told me it would be about 5 minutes. I really wasn’t worried about it at all but they were so kind & apologetic. I didn’t have to wait too long & once they had the order completed, they gave me a free coke for the trouble. “Came on a Wednesday and got an enormous delicious beef brisket plate for $22. Probably the best deal I’ve seen in North Beach. The hamburgers look pretty awesome too although I have not tried one yet. My friend got a chicken pesto sandwich which was less exceptionable but not bad.

Definitely worth coming back!

One note: sitting at the back is pretty loud, sounds like there’s a club or something on the other side of the wall so it was hard to hear my friend talking, but that’s probably not an an issue if you come earlier or don’t sit in the very back.“

“Had the best lamb I’ve ever had wildly enough and this green sauce thing is so good I wish I got 4 of them. There’s a 15 min wait on the lab kebab but I think it’s worth it. There’s an argument to be made if it’s worth the price, I got extra lamb and honestly no regrets. Maybe just a single portion for your fist time. Cheese burger also had a brioche/potato bun that was very pleasant.“

“10/10 food and 1000000/10 service! My 13 year old brother went there and ordered his food, and then realized his debit card ran out of funds. The staff still made him his food, and gave him a hug and encouraged him to eat it!

He was too embarrassed and waited until I could come to the restaurant and pay for him. But the owner and the staff treated him like their own little brother, and was willing to give him the meal for free! You rarely see this type of kindness anymore ❤ plus, the burgers and BOMB !“

“Good place to get a solid burger and breakfast. What makes this place stand out is Angel who is the manager. He is able to handle a long line of customers with minimal help. Always cooks the food consistently so you know what to expect. Has a good personality that is friendly, calm and efficient.

What Nations management can do to improve is to make sure he has adequate staff so he isn't overworked. It's sad to see him working all the time and sometimes with only 1 person or by himself. When I randomly go, this guy seems to be here all the time day and night.

The thing with Nations is that there is barely any marketing. If a store opened would have no idea and if Nations went bankrupt or closed, wouldn't know either. Also the prices are pretty high for what you get and there isn't a wow factor with Nations food. Pies are probably the best thing though.“

The burger was good. Not great but honest. Gave it 7.5. The crinkled fries were mid. Pretty sure they were frozen. I didn't eat em all. Needed salt. The shake was decent and you get a large. Right there i knew it wouldn't be the best shake. For 20 bucks plus tip it was ok. I don't think i got their best. Next time I'm trying the teriyaki burger and chicken. It's a small, side of the road joint that's so close to being incredible.“

“I stopped by Nation’s Giant Hamburgers & Great Pies and got a burger with a slice of pie. The burger was juicy, fresh, and cooked well, with plenty of flavor. Atmosphere is not great -it’s right across from the Coliseum BART station -but it’s the only place in the immediate vicinity.
