Atmosphere was just up both our alleys. We were welcomed warmly, seated quickly, and service was amazing. My latte was perfect. Food also was terrific. We shared a crab Benedict and a Big Hip and tried so hard to finish every bite, but it was just too much. We really wanted Millionaire’s bacon, but just couldn’t manage it.“

I'm not the biggest fan of raw fish, but the poke was so chewy and flavorful with a nice balance of savory, spicy, and some sweetness. I liked that the salmon pieces were cut small, so they could soak up more of the sauce. Really good value for fresh and yummy fish!!“

“Battling a serious case of the Mondays and the post St. Paddy's day blues, I had been craving a burger for hours when I remembered I get to pass this San Francisco staple on the walk home. Sam, his son, and the chef's have been grilling up American style cheese burgers over a flame grill in this hole in the wall for nearly 60 years. Their classic recipe is the epitome of if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Served on a paper plate with all the fixins, this not a fancy grommet-style meal, and there's no secret ingredient that keeps people coming back for more. It's the back to basics deliciousness paired with the old style feel of diners of the past. Staffed by only one or two people at a time, they're flipping burgers and making them consistently amazing and quick. Sam's hit the spot and 100% satiated my craving. They're open late on the weekends, so I'm looking forward to popping in again soon to round off a night out.“

“Upon arrival I was able to order right away. I particularly valued its location on the quieter and cleaner side of the Tenderloin. Opting for the mix-and-match meal, I selected spicy lemon pepper and garlic parmesan as my chosen flavors. Priced at $18, including fries and a drink, the meal was reasonably priced. However, the spicy lemon pepper flavor was somewhat over-seasoned, suggesting a need for a lighter toss to avoid overpowering the palate. The overall taste was good, albeit a bit intense. I would consider ordering this flavor again with a lighter toss in the sauce. On a positive note, the GP boneless wings were a delightful surprise. Bursting with juiciness and flavor, they proved to be a highlight of the meal. Similar to the spicy lemon pepper, I would recommend a more restrained use of the sauce for a more balanced experience. Despite this minor adjustment, I would undoubtedly order this flavor again. In summary, while there were seasoning nuances to be mindful of, the overall experience was positive, and the GP boneless wings left a lasting impression.“

The tables and seating were clean.I ordered a mini bacon cheeseburger which was plenty big enough for me. The patty wasn’t as flavorful as I wanted, but it wasn’t bad. I really enjoyed the garlic fries. The fries themselves were perfect and crispy, with a generous portion of fresh garlic sprinkled throughout. All of it could have used just a little extra sprinkle of seasoning, but my blood pressure probably appreciates that it wasn’t too salty. It’s not the best burger I’ve ever had, but I would eat here again.“

Chez Maman East was the answer and they did not disappoint. My colleague and I were welcomed in and seated right away. It was early, so they weren’t too busy. The waiter was quick to serve us and was very informative. Even suggested a few items they were known for. My colleague took his suggestion and got the Sole. He was very happy he took the suggestion. It was cooked beautifully and had great flavor. To the point he licked the plate clean!I chose the bell pepper soup and their famous burger. The soup was delightful and fit perfect on this rainy day. The burger was everything everyone had told me. The burger was cooked correctly, juicy, and tender. The add-ons were just icing on the cake.If we were to suggest anything to the restaurant to improve on, it would be have fresh bread. The baguette we ordered was dry and like chewing leather. Went great with the soup, but by itself was not enjoyable.Overall, we would return to try the rest of the menu.Parking: Just your standard street parking. Might have to walk a little once you park.“

“Short review: Excellent service, unique menu, fresh ingredients, chill dining space and good sized bar. Scampi fries are the MVP.Long review:My partner and I were looking for a date night spot, but a more chill and laid back place in the city versus the usual steakhouse, etc. We found Cole Valley Tavern via Yelp and decided to give it a shot. It's in a very nice part of hilly SF and is right on the corner of the street - parking is scarce so keep that in mind.We ordered a variety of things: scampi fries, wings, onion rings, smashburger, salmon caesar, and more. Everything was and I cannot understate how damn good the scampi fries are. It's a thicker cut potato but the crunch/flavor is next level. The head chef that night (Alex) came out since he heard we were trying the spot out for date night. He gave us the french toast style strawberry shortcake which was very legit. We enjoyed everything and absolutely will come back!“

“Zapatos (their version of burritos) are great. Beer selection is wide and overall, the vibe is pretty nice here. However, the front staff really want to leave by closing time; meaning, they start passively asking people to leave an hour+ before closing time. Not normally a stickler for service, but I experienced being shooed out on multiple occasions so I thought it might be worth mentioning that FYI not the most hospitable.“

“Went a little before the dinner rush. My group is from out of town and struggled with deciding what to order but the person who took our order was extremely patient and friendly. We ended up getting an original cheesesteak and a GMO cheesesteak. The GMO was my fav. I’ll definitely come here again.“

“This is my favorite cafe near my house. The service here is amazing and the staff are so kind. Great atmosphere for getting some work done and having a solitary breakfast (or going with friends but I’m always alone here). I will keep coming and supporting before other cafes because this has a nostalgic and cozy vibe I can’t find anywhere else.“

“It was late night order and I’ve never had a burger dog before but wanted to try since frisco fried out them on the scene back in the day. Ordered my door dash and couldn’t wait. As soon as they arrive I could smell the goodness so I take my pics and dive in.Burger Dog: Hefty on the meat, felt like it was more beef than an actual burger and I wanna say easier to eat. Only change I would add bacon and that’s my bad. Very good burger dog!Bacon Hot Dog: Butterflied Beef Dog with crispy bacon! Another hit.Very simple menu options but they hit it out the park. Would definitely double back to this spot to try them fresh.Parking: It’s on 20th street so not impossible but keep your eyes open spots get taken fastKid-friendliness: Burgers, Hot Dogs, Fries I think so….Wheelchair accessibility: It’s in San Francisco it has to be accessible“

“A good noodle shop! A relatively simple menu categorized into: small plates, noodles, and buns. The flat wide noodles were good. The way I ended up ordering, this ended up being a carb heavy meal. You can specify less spicy and they will accommodate. Sichuan style food can get super spicy so I needed this feature!“

“Very good diner. Has lots of breakfast options, I always say I'll try something else but I always stick with a chefs mess. Never went for lunch but they have that too. They have vegan options too! It is down the street, a couple blocks, from Wise Sons which I also recommend.“
