“Let me tell you something, this has to be on your list when you come to SF. This is where you need to stop and this is where you need to eat the family the food the everything about this experience was nothing short of wonderful. I live in SoCal so Mexican food is a staple but let me tell you something this was a different experience completely everything is crafted with care and love and you know it I got the poblano spaghetti and omg my mind was blown away. I hope this place stays around for a very long time. This made my entire trip to SF worth it.“

“We were completely charmed by the quality and thoughtfulness of everything about this place! The brunch-type food is excellent, and the music and decor are individualistic and welcoming (check out the restroom too! Love the generous, relaxing spa vibe and the chandelier!). There’s a bowl of unique, handmade metal-and-glass kaleidoscopes to play with at the big table, and around a corner we got to meet a sweet little 18-year-old resident doggie named Twiggy. The roasted cauliflower with red beet tahini, broccoli with chimichurri and toasted garlic, and sweet potato with chimichurri were all delicious!

The whole rotisserie chicken was just OK. It was a little dry and not very seasoned on its own. It came with two sauces, and I chose the chimichurri and chipotle yogurt. The sauces definitely made the chicken much better, but I wouldn’t want to eat the chicken by itself.“

“I ordered a sandwich with two sides of gravy through Uber Eats for pickup. When I arrived, the chefs said my order had already been taken and refused to remake it, even though I showed my receipt. The manager came out and was very rude, despite me explaining I’m a regular customer who even picked up my annual Thanksgiving meal the day before. After accusing me of “screaming” (though I was speaking calmly over the loud music), they finally remade the order but shoved it at me and pushed me out. I live a block away and may give them another chance, but beware online pickup orders can get mishandled here.“

“This place is so underrated, what a gem in an unassuming place! I had the chicken banh mi and the bread was fresh and had the perfect amount of crunch and the flavors were great. I come from SJ and although I wasn’t say it was the most “authentic” banh mi it was so good and did not feel like a heavy meal. The chicken rice soup had so much umami, would honestly be a treat and I’ll probably crave the cozy comfort of it when I’m sick.

There are a few seats inside and out but seems like a quick pickup and takeout place which works for me! We had the food inside last time though and service was so sweet. They were very attentive even when they were filling orders :)“

“We wanted to have a special meal to end our arduous few weeks of surgery recovery and I found Chacho when we landed on sushi because of their menu and location. They also seemed to be a little newer and worth a shot.

When picking up I was very warmly greeted by the ladies working there in a cozy and lovely shop and was offered even more soy sauce when I asked if it was in the bag (which there was).

We had a big takeout order of takoyaki, yellowtail Nigiri, a monster roll and some hamachi maki and California rolls. Because of how much we ordered there site offered us a free dish to select and I chose the yellowtail collar as I'd never had it before. A true feast. The takoyaki where still warm after a 15 minute drive and where perfectly savory and sweet with just the right amount of meat to batter. The yellowtail Nigiri was of great quality with a firm texture that wasn't chewy at all. The monster roll was an explosion of flavors and textures and so rich and filling. The maki and cut roll where dead simple and lovely as well with great rice/filling ratios. The yellowtail collar, while a little tricky to pick over offered delicious fatty morsels of meat with the occasional bone to dodge. It was tasty, but I wouldn't order it as a non freebie.

All in all it was such a hearty and rich meal and if we're in the area again we'll be back to come in next time!“

“I had ordered a meatball sandwich with garlic potato wedges through Uber Eats to be delivered to VA Hospital where I work it took about 30 minutes to receive my food was still warm the potatoes were still crispy and warm and it was a lot of food so definitely worth

“We were out and about, looking for a place to have dinner on a Wednesday evening. We didn’t expect that most restaurants were only taking reservations. On our way back to the hotel, we came by Cenote. It didn’t look like much from the outside. It only had a few small tables with hard stool-style seats, fast food style. However…. The food was incredible! The four of us had all a different dish, and all four dishes looked beautiful. The flavors were fresh and very tasty. No disappointment! If you are looking for a mid-range priced dinner with awesome flavor in that neighborhood, this is your place! We all paid less than $20 for a fabulous dinner. Highly recommended if you like fresh and flavorful Mexican food.“

“Not a lot of tables in here and we definitely caught the lunch rush. The people running the little restaurant were very nice and we enjoyed the food. It's not cheap, but with four adults and only three entrees and a salad, we got literally two meals worth of food, each. Lots of leftovers.“

“2026: Heads up. No bread deliveries on Sunday. This means AK Meats usually run out of Dutch Crunch bread by the afternoon, which is the case today. For my roast beef with Swiss sandwich$13.75, I instead opted for the sweet French roll. This was still very good. Love AK Meats' sandwiches.

12/31/2025: KPIX did an interview with the owners of AK Meats for The Great SF Power Outage of 2025 last week. I came by to show them some support. My sandwich, a AK's combo $14 was ready in about 10 minutes. It was sad to see them suffer through that. It is a good reminder for us to be all ready for the next earthquake or PGE outage. My sandwich tasted great as always.

This is one of the best sandwiches on Clement St we've had. I loved how they put some fresh bell peppers along with leaf lettuce, onions and tomatoes in the sandwich. It is simple and they done a great job with this. Very flavorful.“

“This place always hits the spot! The flavors are amazing and I love all the banchan dishes. Plus! The rice comes with the food which should be the standard but nowadays other places charge for them.

The food is fresh and tasty, the place has a really nice vibe to it, the weekday breakfast special is great value and they are very accommodating. Best part must be the waitress working there, tho. “We’ve always been thin crust pizza fans, have never tasted authentic NY style pizza, though we have had Napoli-style pizza several times in Rome, and we gotta say, the crust here is AMAZING!! The only slight change that I think would make it taste even better is if there was a bit more salt in the dough. Other than that, the bottom of the pizza was crisp, and the crust was airy and crisp with a slight chew. The crust was so delicious that we saved all our uneaten crusts to bring home for later, could not bear to throw them away (unlike other, more bready crusts). 😆 The pepperoni pizza was our favorite (so flavorful), with the sausage being a close second. The margherita was nice with the fresh basil, but could have used a sprinkling of salt. Our younger son really wanted to try the corn pizza, but we could only manage to finish 3 pizzas with our family of 7, so he has already declared that this will be his pick for his birthday meal, and that he will be getting the corn pizza. 😆 Wish it were closer to us (we live around 30 mins away), but it is not too far for special occasions! From where we live, comparatively, Mountain Mike’s and Porky’s Pizza Palace would be rated 2 or 3 out of 10 and Spinning Dough would be 9/10! Would totally buy it frozen if they offered that, it is that good! Was also a treat for the kids to watch the owner (who is super, super nice!) toss the dough and assemble the pizzas. It’s a two-person-run business (one cook and one person handling the cashier, taking orders, preparing tables, and clearing up), so please be patient with the owner. She really does her best to take care of every customer, especially considering her age.

For the basic breakfast, you can choose your bread (white, wholegrain, or sourdough) and how you’d like your eggs cooked. Another homey breakfast option. 👍“
