“everything about the restaurant, from the heated outdoor dining, people who work there, the food so deliciously great especially the one that prepares and cook it, THE CHEFS, amazingly incredible they are and not so pricey above all.“

“The legendary San Francisco institution featured by Anthony Bourdain, Guy Fieri, and more does not disappoint people!! The carne asada burrito (get it el dorado style) is a must: no rice, just juicy meat, beans, salsa, and cheese, with a crispy, golden tortilla. The line moves fast, so don’t bother phoning in an order bc it won’t really save you that much time. Cash only but I saw they had some sort of card reader now.“

“We stopped in here while in the area and were pleasantly surprised we had never made the stop before! I'm a dog person so anything with a Dog theme and I'm in, but this place didn't stop there. They have an impressive drink menu with a few things I'd never seen, and they also have these delicious NA waters (?) that I wish I could remember the name of.
They also have a great food menu and the service was very good. I'll be back and you should stop by too!“

“Only reason I'm saying four stars is that now they've added an automatic 20% gratuity on top of the 5% SF mandate. I get that you have to compensate for people who might never tip, but I always tip 20% anyway, but I hate the automatic-the service definitely doesn't feel the same, less personalized and more cookie cutter.“

“We walked in on NYE without a reservation and they graciously found us a spot in the bar area. Service was on point and staff were festively dressed! I love a crafty cocktail but most are too sweet. I had the Smokey mezcal cocktail 🍹. Perfection. Appetizers were delish as well. Perfect way to start our NYE celebrations.“

“California-style Cantonese cuisine! I really like the decoration style here, which always makes me feel better when dining here. The golden lotus chandelier and the gold and silver wire lamp are definitely the best decoration! 👍The pastries here are also worth mentioning! Pineapple buns, wife cakes, black sesame banana cakes with miso sugar!“

“Wow. This place is delicious. The food was incredible and the service was amazing. If you are in San Fran you must come here to eat. Green beans. Are the bomb. Pork buns. Fabulous. All the food was amazing.
This is just one of the best little spots. Everyone recommended and we are so glad we came here. We had a group of 8. Reservations recommended.“

“Mensho Tokyo SF truly lives up to its reputation and Michelin Star status. While we waited in line, it was interesting to see that most patrons were first-timers, creating a sense of shared anticipation.
One standout feature was their selection of unique Japanese beers, which offered a refreshing change from the usual options. The ramen itself was exceptional; the noodles had the perfect firmness, while the broth struck an ideal balance—not too overpowering but incredibly flavorful. Each bite was a delightful experience, showcasing a harmonious blend of tastes and textures.
I wholeheartedly recommend Mensho Tokyo SF to anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience. I can’t wait to share this gem with my friends in the future!“

“The food was phenomenal. We started with Chrome (an old fashioned twist) and Leila. Kids had Rose mint and Hassan tower; the cocktails. The cocktails were great and the mocktails were not loaded with sugar. All very flavorful. We started with Josey bread, butter, honey and za'atar as snack and then mouth melting smaller plate of Kefta. We had 3 entrees: lamb shank which was mouth melting, lemon whole beanzino which was the best fish my family had and chicken roulade. In dessert we had all 3: the out of world date cake, the yuzu custard which was on tart side and chocolate chip cookies. The server Gariba was phenomenal. We had great conversation, with all of us. Her suggestions were top notch. She made our experience a five star from every aspect.“

“Everything we ordered was good. In fact we couldn’t eat it all. Your pizza was so delish! Never had chow fun wrapped up in little rolls but it was pretty good. Your shaking beef salad was good too. Definitely a dining experience in Asian fusion!“

“Authentic Italian bakery. 1 product, foccacia, done to perfection. My Italian grandpa lived in North Beach and brought it to Sunday dinners every week. Now, generations later, a stop at Liguria is mandatory. But get there early, or you will be disappointed. 5 star best foccacia ever.“

“One of the best dining experiences we’ve had.
Californios is a Michelin two star restaurant well deserving of this recognition.
I wouldn’t change any part of their course menu and was blown away at the experience offered here.“

“First time, had the umaminous pizza and the tira'miso'.
I love how unique the dough was! It was so fluffy and light which felt well balanced with the toppings. I loved all the textures involved, the crunchy cheesy crust was a nice touch. You get the signature brownie edges but it's with cheese. Total winner. Ill come back for more and try their flatter pizzas to see if my rating changes.
Tira'miso' was a great spin off a tiramisu. It could use more coffee or something to make the cake more moist. Otherwise, the flavors were yummy. I like the salty sweet sauce.
Good stuff!“

“While this spot is generally considered one of the best Thai spots in the city, I found it to be a bit over rated. Service was just ok and the food was disappointing. The beef curry was good but not as good as it should be considering the price. The beef wasn’t as tender as it should be and the curry was mismatched with fats and spices, generally a bit flat on flavor. Scallops were very good and had subtle Thai flavors that meshed very well with the scallop’s natural flavor. Fried chicken was my least favorite and completely not worth it. I’m not sure what happened here but very little expected flavor and zero exciting or inspiring flavor. Bland is best to describe.
Wine selection was very good. Presentation was beautiful for each dish. Seems like something potential changed, or maybe it was just the day after Valentine’s Day and the team had enough.
Kid-friendliness: Yes.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“

“Loved every second! From the Gracious hostess who welcomed us early at the bar to the lovely waitstaff ... and damn. That food! Incredible flavors and textures. Just joyous. Best Italian I've had in SF in a long while and the old school ambience... people eating lustily and having fun. No one taking food photos. Too busy eating. Perfect“

“This is a really upscale place that only serves omakase for $250 per person. when you factor in tax and tip it comes to $350 per person. although the service and quality are very good, I have has this type of omakase in various places around the country and I think the price is way too much. I think it is worth $150 per person. the meal was great - I Just don't think it's worth the price. the Nigiri was excellent. wasn't a fan of the desert and several of the appetizers I didn't like either. the quality of the fish is amazing.“

“Copra is a fine dining Indian restaurant with beautiful ambiance and decor. A reservation is required. The cocktails were impressive—we enjoyed the Jaggery Sour, a slightly sweet twist on a whiskey sour, and the Lassi Punch, a smooth spiced drink. For appetizers, the rasam puri was unique and refreshing—a must-try! The dahi chaat vada was good but quite heavy, and the vennai shrimp, though tasty, had too much ghee for our liking. For mains, the cod was delicious with authentic Kerala flavors, while the lamb shoulder was flavorful but could have been a bit more tender. Overall, it was an average experience—not exceptional but enjoyable.“

“True Laurel has earned its spot as one of SF’s best cocktail bars. It’s a cozy and modern spot in the Mission area that’s near a bunch of other top spots so it’s easy to make a night out if visiting this spot.
The menu has a wide selection of items for everyone. If there’s no seating inside they also serve their drinks onto a parklet space in front of the building for those summer nights.“

“I popped in for a quick lunch on a Monday, there was only one other table seated so no wait. I thought about going for one of the lunch specials, but dumplings aren't on there (think traditional US Chinese dishes like General Tso's). I ordered the Shanghai Dumplings and the Wontons in Peanut Chili oil, for a whole $14. The shanghai dumplings were nothing special, but a great price point. The wontons were great, the sauce had good texture.
For a drink, he just set down hot tea in a disposable coffee cup which I found odd considering I was dining in.
All in all, super fast, super cheap, and solid food.“

“We had the pasta tasting menu. A couple of items were absolutely awesome, but overall we found it a bit off balance. Some vegetables (I'm not a chef) or something to cut through the constant starch and fat profiles would have been better. We thought the vegetarian course was in some ways better than the other one. Worth stopping in for a fancy treat any time!“

“Consistent, delicious, and beautiful experience. My neighborhood gem! Had my best friend from Arizona up for weekend, who was looking forward to returning to what he considers one of the best restaurants in SF, as do I....we sat at the Counter which is great as you really get to see the culinary team creating the dishes. It's so easy to write so positively about Che Fico . Given the challenges facing the restaurant business in San Francisco, even the spirit of the room defies that. The staff from arrival to departure is super friendly and attentive, and reliably cares about what they are doing: the evening runs like a well oiled machine, and we were graced with our server Brian who is just great at who he is and what he does. The food is just beautiful: to look at, and to eat. We had a spectacular Cicoria Cesare, a robust take on a Caesar salad with chicories and anchovies galore, a cold carrot dish with citrus buttermilk and pistachios, and perhaps my current favorite Carne Cruda, which is a raw sirloin with aioli and black truffle and Parmesan that you stuff into delicious small rolls. Simple and spectacular...finished with delicious seasonal asparagus and a delicate gnocchi with an asparagus pesto....Eat at Che Fico now and forever, Amen!“

Food is clean eating and delicious, we ordered a ton and loved everything.
The mackerel, mushrooms, scallion chicken, and short rib were incredible. Got one of their highball cocktails as well which was insanely refreshing and a great balance of sweet and sour.
Highly recommend this spot! Seating is limited.“
