My BFs dad spoke with the owner who is usually working, &sometimes they don't get any business on slow days:( &the food was VERY good! There's a competing taqueria close by that gets more customers &there's a BIG difference on the food quality. That it's shocking how much better this restaurant is yet less customersSupport this local business! The food is very delicious! There are a few taquerias around the area, but THIS ONE! We ordered some cakes and they were fresh, prepared very well. My boyfriend's dad talked to the owner who is usually working, and sometimes they don't have any business on slow days :( and the food was SO good! There is a competing taqueria nearby that has more customers and there is a BIG difference in the quality of how they prepare the food. “This place is pure Guatemalan awesomeness! It's just as good if not better than the original. The pan francés And pan dulce are on point, and the breakfast is amazing. If you love Guatemalan and Central American style breakfast this is the place for you. I have to warn you though, parking and seating is tough on the weekends. So be ready to park a few blocks away, and hunt for a good table once you get there.“

“In a never ending search for the best burritos in the Bay, I’m glad I found another solid option in Los Cuates. Super nice folks behind the counter, clean, organized restaurant, a solid salsa bar, and fantastic food.

The regular carne burrito was piping hot, and perfectly wrapped with a perfect balance of delicious meat, rice, beans, and salsa. Nothing groundbreaking, just solid Mexican food at reasonable prices served by nice folks. We need more places like Los Cuates.“

“Los Metates has a decent taco salad $16. It tasted fine but it felt small. It is missing key ingredients like pico del gallo. Pico del gallo (tomatoes and onions) would have made this salad 2x better as it blends well with iceberg lettuce and gives is more flavor. It comes with free chips and two condiment cups of salsa. Both sauce cups were spicy. Service was quick as I was the customer at 6:30pm. One weird thing, the menu on the wall with the photos, some items don't have prices on them. For example, Quesabirria tacos are $8 each. I don't like restaurants where they don't put prices on their menu.“

“The portions were huge, which is great because you get your money's worth. If that's your thing. I thought the bibimbap in the stone pot was great. My spouse thought her soup was a bit salty. The pancake was good.

The staff was nice and the atmosphere was typical restaurant vibes.“

I had their asada Taco and a California Burrito with asada.
The taco was good, next time I'm using this salsa on the Burrito. I'd definitely have it again.
The Burrito was 🔥. The use a good amount of asada along with waffle fries. Which is officially a game changer for California burritos. (Note, there is a surcharge for the asada, not sure about the other meats.)“

“This is by far the best sushi restaurant I’ve ever been to, there was this one waitress that was super kind to me and brought our food super quickly sushi was amazing and the curry was good aswell, she was super nice and pretty 👀“

My biggest complaint is that they close at random times and often for long periods of time and I have no way of knowing unless I call in beforehand to know what time they close that day. If they don't pick up, they're closed.“

“Very cozy and casual neighborhood dining. We found out about this place from a friend when we moved in the area almost more than 15 years ago and have been going here mostly for take out ever since. The prices are great and portions just right. The food is wonderful although there are rare days it might be off (maybe a different cook for that day). Parking is limited so order ahead for to-go unless you park at the Walgreens across the street. The owner is nice and is the one always taking orders.“

“Omg so much flavor 🤤 my husband came here with friends and wanted to bring us so we came back with him and ordered a bunch of food to try a lot of dishes (10) and every single one was so good! Cucumber salad, green beans, fried chicken, egg rolls, chicken corn soup, house beef, beef&potatoes (okay personally would not order this one again because of the chewy beef fat, but flavor was still really good), cumin pork ribs, and scallion pancakes. Service was also very lovely!“

“I’ve been to a lot a pho places and I must say the pho here is really good! I got the rare steak and beef ball pho. It was tasty, flavorful and not greasy. It was very busy when I came in but I got a table after waiting about 10 minutes or so. I ordered their Vietnamese ice coffee with boba and it was delicious as well!“

“I haven't been here in hella long. The silogs were made fresh to order. I think it was a little pricy but well worth it for the occasional treat when you don't want to cook.
We ordered:

1. Longsilog: Still as good as I remember but now they open it up.

2. Tocilog: Sweet and I love the little pieces. I'm not a fan when they are big pieces

3. Chicken bbq- My niece liked it, it just had to be warmed up.

4. Picadilllo: I wasn't a fan of, too sweet and too much bell peppers and carrots.

5. Garlic peanuts: My dad liked it but said it's too salty.

6. I had asked for a sode of sabao and the sinigang was so deliciously sour.“

I have seen many locations across the bay area.

Food: Most of the foods are grilled or fried. All of them are tasty and fresh. Many fish choices, sauces, and sites to choose from. My favorite sauces are garlic butter and Cajun. The fish and chips are very good with tartar sauce. The grilled sea bass fish are very flavorful and would recommend having sauce on the side.

Price: very reasonable price for portions of food.“

“At around 8pm, there aren't a lot of choices for Korean food. My urge for some Korean tofu soup brought me to Kukje Market Restaurant. My order was the #3, soft tofu soup combo, beef, clams and shrimps $20. This was a small soup served on boiling hot stoneware. It took about 15 minutes of waiting before I was able to enjoy this without burning my mouth. The highlight for me was the little Korean banchan side dishes and how it goes well with the bowl of rice. In terms of service, the waiter was more interested in talking to his co-workers and doom scrolling on his phone as it was the end of the day. At least the food came out fast.“

“I passed by here many times and never knew if it was open because the curtains block the interior view. Today I finally have this place a shot on a hungry mindset. It’s like a hole in the wall that serve authentic Chinese dishes at great prices. Also the service was great and the food was very delicious. I definitely will be back to try out other dishes.

“Frozen brisket like a Korean BBQ place, you fill the bowl up as much as you want and add any veggies you want. They take the bowl and let you choose which sauces/fresh garlic/ seasoning you want on it and throw it on a flat top grill with a bowl full if noodles. It's great for the price. I would pay $50 for this at a Korean BBQ place“

“Huge portions and really good food! The star of the show was the molcajete. It had fried fish, shrimp, chicken, and carne asada in it- with a ton of meat in ours. We also had the quesabirria which were full of meat too! Next time we will just share the molcajete but definitely will be back.“

“I’ve been going to Celia’s since I was a kid, never been disappointed I love every location I’ve been to, Daly City is my go to because it’s so close to me, always have tables available, games on, drinks flowing, service impeccable! Food phenomenal! Sopas are my number one meal because it taste exactly like my moms. Enchiladas and crunchy tacos are next and after that anything else on the menu I’ve ever had, I never had any kind of issues with they are always delicious. Drinks like margaritas are always a favorite too! Can’t go wrong with Celia’s special and a Cadillac margaritas are favorites here. I’ve celebrated it all here at this location as well, birthdays, graduations, engagements, you name it many many wonderful memories here 🥰“

“My partner and I are regulars here! My go-to is the combination rice noodle soup, and my partner gets the combination egg noodle soup. The portions are really generous and the noodles are always perfectly cooked. We also love the flour cake with egg. AND, their chili oil is superb. We started with the gyozas and edamame as appetizers, and both were absolutely delicious. For our main dishes, I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, while my partner had the Black Garlic Ramen. Everything was amazing—from the rich flavors to the beautiful presentation!

For drinks, we ordered Calpicos to keep things mild, but they also offer a wide variety of interesting sakes that we would love to try next time. We finished our meal with the puff balls for dessert, and they were incredible!
