“I really enjoyed their smorked (smoked pork) and bamboo dish and the general's noodles. The string beans with the eggplant were cooked perfectly; I've had a lot of places have trouble with the string beans as of late. The "smorked" fried rice looked pretty good and would be willing to return or order take out to try. They forgot our second order of rice, but we did fine without it.“

“Super nice staff. The food wasn’t particularly outstanding (the pasta was pretty bland and a bit overcooked), though it did come out quickly. The atmosphere is very red sauce Italian—if you’re into that, you’ll like this place. I personally found the atmosphere a bit much, but I can see what they were going for and how others might like that.“

“It's a great little Irish bar. And it's the real deal. They serve traditional Irish breakfast, that's a little hard to find. I had the fish and chips. They were delicious. Definitely a good place to have a smithwick, Guinness, Irish coffee, or whatever you fancy.“

“It was my second time dining at this restaurant. We were a party of 6. Parking is not too easy as it's a busy location in Millbrae, but there are a few small parking lots nearby. I like the cozy ambience of this place. Food was good but nothing exceptional. Their risotto is nicely cooked. Service was only so so, not as attentive as we would expect. Maybe he was too busy. There were quite many tables at that Friday evening. Their tiramisu was good!“
“Love their breads, especially the white bread (or milk toast that's sold as both thick or thin slices) and raisin toast. Good shelf life as they usually last for a week and their breads actually stay pillowy soft! Another favorite is the Portuguese egg tarts or pastel de nata. Crispy, flaky shell with creamy, egg custard - this is definitely a great and very popular so it tends to sell out early. I've recently seen lots of people buying their steamed buns and will need to try that out. The shop is tidy and clean. Minimum $15 purchase for credit card use.“

“The waiters were very attentive and polite. Suggested dishes that we should try. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. Best noodle house in MilbreaParking: Finding parking is difficult as the restaurant is on a small street. You need to find parking somewhat further away and walk to the establishment.“

“Chef Wang's is a nice little spot serving up delicious Chinese Korean cuisine. We ordered the Seafood Combination, Salt and Pepper Fish, and Jjampong (Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup). The Seafood Combination was deliciously umami with plenty of the wok flavor. It included scallops, sea cucumbers, shrimp, and plenty of choy so definitely a great dish to share. Salt and Pepper Fish was fried nicely and had a beautifully crunchy texture. This peppers were not as spicy, so we added a few sprinkles of white pepper to bring up the heat. A nice cook on it nonetheless. The JJampong portion here is huge and can definitely share between two or three people with plenty of noodles to go around. The soup is adorn with zucchini, cabbage, onions, shrimp, clams, and small slices of pork. The broth is ever so spicy, not too salty. I am used to the broth having more of a seafood flavor, but this one definitely had more of a vegetable broth taste. Service was nice and attentive, but restaurant was a bit more empty as we had arrived mid day. Overall, there was plenty of flavor in the fishes, good portions, and we can't wait to come here again to try other dishes as the menu is quite unique given its combination of cultures.“

“We really enjoy our visit in this small kebab place. Every time we visit this area to have pastries and coffee in Paris Baguette we always wonder if this place worth visiting. Finally last Monday we decided to try. We had a small dinner, we order beef and lamb plate and chicken soup (not an ordinary chicken soup). It was delicious, meats are cooked perfect and I love mediterrnean chicken soup. Young lady is friendly, alert and excellent customer service. I will comeback again. I highly recommend that you visit this restaurant.“

“We have recently returned from living for a year in Penang, Malaysia (not too far from Ipoh). I can honestly say this food is just as good if not better than what we found in Penang, which is the food capitol! We loved the references to Penang in the restaurant in the form of cute murals found in Georgetown. We enjoyed the char kuey teow, the green beans with belachan, the roti canai and the curry laksa. It was all delicious and very fresh ingredients. The owner is very nice and we enjoyed chatting with her and sharing stories. We will be back!“

“This place is great for a quick sushi bite. You can try a lot of different dishes here because the plates are small and very inexpensive! Atmosphere is similar to one of those Japanese bending machine restaurants. You place your order on a tablet with minimal human contact.“

“We tried a mix of Sichuan and Northern Chinese dishes atYummy Szechuan, and the flavors were impressive. However, as a spicy food fan, I found the Spicy Pork Ear, Chongqing Spicy Chili Chicken, and Mao Xue Wang a bit milder than I prefer. If you're like me and love extra heat, consider asking for more chili in these dishes. Despite the spice level, the quick service, varied flavors, and cozy atmosphere made the experience enjoyable. The Toothpick Lamb With Cumin, The Salted Egg with Golden Sand Prawns, and The Chongqing Spicy Chili Chicken stood out, even if they weren't super spicy.“

“I love mom's tofu house. The food is so good. I y regular order is the Spicy Pork Rice Bowl and the Spicy Yang Nyum chicken wings. Serving sizes are large. They raised their prices by a few dollars recently, but it's understandable given the rate of inflation.“

“Authentic Chinese restaurant serving delicious food at some of the most affordable prices (especially their lunch special of $9.95/dish from M-F 11 AM - 2 PM). They specialize in Szechaun cuisine, so watch out for the spice. Some of the best dishes are their duck and their twice-cooked pork. The staff are incredibly friendly and consistently check-in with the guests. The restuarant has a a small cozy feel and was well decorated when I visited a few weeks after the Lunar New Year. There is even a wall of celebrities who have visited! One of the other redeeming qualities is their platter of Chinese candies by the exit.“
“The food tastes so delicious. This restaurant operates by a couple, they are so nice to customers. But they didn't hire any staff to take orders/packing the delivery/clean up tables, they do that all by themselves, which I totally understand because the owner told me it is very difficult to run a restaurant after a pandemic, it is impossible to earn any revenue if they hire staff. BTW, one of the best family restaurants in Millbrae San Mateo.“

“Absolutely amazing Swedish pancakes. I was happy that this place does not smell like syrup but does smell like coffee. Good prices and filling portions. Great homemade style corned hash....best I have had and I order it for breakfast regularly. I would highly recommend this restaurant but they did recently change their hours and menu to all breakfast, just FYI.Parking: Parking is limited so grab a street parking spot if you need.“

They are related to koi palace so there dim sum is of high quality without going to koi palace. All foods are tasty and fresh and hot. Highly recommend will come back and look forward to try other items on menu. Attached is a video link for the food.“

“Wonderful food especially the stir fried beef dishes! The drawback is the service time which takes over 30 mins for our meal to come. Ambiance and atmosphere are noisy and loud like any other dim sum restaurant on a weekday evening. Great food if you wish to wait for over half an hour to be served.Kid-friendliness: Parking is a challenge but if you go early you can find a spot on the streets.“

“Ben Tre has good flavor with good portion size. In my opinion the spring rolls are some of the best. The soup is in the top groups if you like beef broth. The restaurant is very clean and they are consistent throughout there locations.I always get the rare beef with brisket soup and meatball spring roll. Occasionally I will get the shaking beef or the 5spice chicken and neither option will let you down. The garlic noodles are pretty good, not oily and good flavor of garlic. A place worthy of trying for sure!Parking: Limited but not impossible, if you come on the weekends be aware they have a market and the parking may be toughWheelchair accessibility: Accessible and spacious“

“Thanks for the additional details on the tamales! I've incorporated your specific feedback into an updated review below: Super Burritos Menu Review: Tamale Combo Plate - Chicken Shines, Beef Falls Short On my quest for tamales, I decided to give Super Burritos' combo plate a try. For $13.95, you get your choice of two tamales (Beef or Chicken) accompanied by rice, beans, and salad. First up was the Beef tamale, which earned 3 stars. While the masa had a nice corn flavor and the filling was well-seasoned, the overall texture was a bit too dry for my liking. It wasn't unpleasant, but some additional moisture would have greatly improved the experience. The Chicken tamale, however, fared much better with 4 stars. The filling was tender and flavorful, and the masa struck a better balance of taste and texture compared to its beefy counterpart. This is definitely the tamale to choose if you opt for the combo plate. The included sides of rice, beans, and veggies rounded out the meal decently. While Super Burritos' tamales may not be the absolute best in town, the Chicken variety satisfied my craving. If I return, I'll likely stick with Chicken and perhaps explore some of their other menu offerings. The combo plate is a solid value and worth a try if you're in the area seeking a tamale fix.“

“Food: 15/10Service: 10/10Atmosphere: 10/10Overall Rating: 12/10Experience:I'm from the central Midwest and have travelled internationally to many countries so I have a wide interest in trying new foods wherever I go. Earl Spicy was the first "hot pot restaurant" search option that came up on Google and we hit the jackpot! We stayed in San Francisco for 3 days and ate dinner here each day. Immediately as you walk in, it smells like spices and you'll be welcomed by a friendly woman who is one of the owners. Do not be deterred by the lack of people or even the "older" look the restaurant has - it will add to the charm and warmth of being at a "mom and pop" shop. The menu is extensive, so much so it can be intimidating! But rest assured that EVERYTHING, and I mean everything, was exceptional. Nothing I put in my mouth at this restaurant was less than amazing. We have been to China before for long periods of time and this food took us right back to Shanghai and Xiamen. As we can regularily the owner explained to us that they owned two popular restaurants in China before coming to America for their daughter and opening one here. They also explained there is a patron from Sacramento who comes once a month to enjoy their spicy fish because it is just that good; and we agree. The owner, and wife, gave us recommendations every day and we were happy to accept and they were absolutly amazing. If she recommends, accept it with gratitude and enjoy! The prices reflect their quality of food and be sure to tip because they work hard; she explained that she makes the seasame golden cake and leek pancakes fresh every morning. Here is what we ordered over three days:Golden Seasame PancakeSpicy Fish (Medium Size)Egg Fried RiceBeef Fried RiceLeek PancakeDumplingsPumpkin Cake PattyPrincess Chicken WingsNumbing Chicken PotPlease take time to enjoy this warm, exciting, and authentic restaurant. You will never be disappointed here. I will always recommend and visit this restaurant whenever I am around or whenever someone asks.Happy Eating!“

“This is a good Bagel Street location. The one in Redwood Shores is better. We came around 1pm and the selection of bagels was depleted. We got our usual bagel dog and a bagel with cream cheese and tomato. It didn't taste as good as the ones at their other locations. Service was fast.“

“We came for breakfast on a Saturday. There's was about a 10-15 minute wait at noon. We had the combos. Set D is the mini chow fun with a milk congee; Set I is the boat congee with a Chinese donut and a small dish of fried squid $10. I would recommend not get the milk congee if you never had it before. As for the set D, there are better places for congee. The outstanding dish was the small fried squid. It had this mild spicy powder that made it work. Service was slow but the kitchen was fast.“

“Shanghai Dumpling has great soup and pan fried dumplings! Best Shanghainese food in the area. They have a huge menu that caters to all the best Chinese food including dim sum on top of all their other food. Their lotus wrapped sticky rice is great considering its the only place that does night dim sum in the area. The workers are kind and quite easygoing.Vegetarian options: There is the option to eat rice with the non-meat dishes like spicy tofu or green beans but I wouldn’t say it’s vegetarian focused or a great vegetarian experience“

“I came here not expecting much, but some of their dishes really blow you away. I got the intestine dish which was flavorful and tasty, but I wish it had more intestine. My favorite dish is the fish, the fish is super tender and the sauce pairs really well with the fish and rice. Plus, I think the prices are pretty reasonable given the larger portions.“

“Our family enjoys eating at Naked Fish in Millbrae. Their sushi rolls and bento boxes are always delicious. There are many options to choose from between the menu and their daily specials. Their food is presented well and amply portioned. Their service is consistently good and the servers are attentive. Whether we eat a late lunch or dinner with family and friends, we always leave this place full and content. My only criticism of this place is the location. Because the gym is directly above it, more specifically, the weight room, you can hear the weights dropping on the floor on certain occasions and it’s distracting. However, because we enjoy eating here more than anything else, we tolerate the noise on the few instances it’s happened. There is ample parking around, both on the street and in the parking lot next to it.Overall, I recommend you try this restaurant if you’re in the neighborhood.“

“Five of us came to try the $88 set menu for 4-6 people. (I initially thought it was $88 per person and was overly disappointed, but found out later it was $88 for all of us ?).We ended up ordering 3 other dishes, which brought our total closer to $200, but it was not bad. “This is a very nice place to sit down and have a meal and/or a drink. I am 24 years old, but I went to the 2nd biggest party college in Ohio (LOL), and I am here on a 10 day business trip in the Bay Area, and I have to say Mr. Chad N. at the bar here at Grill & Vine, is by miles and miles the best bartender or server I have ever had the pleasure of having. A very kind and considerate individual, and all staff really, especially for such a busy environment. I was very pleased with my experience here.“

“I had 15 min to spare before heading to my daughters school and drove by this place like I have hundreds of times over the years. After scoring parking out front and looking through the pictures of their foods I felt the urge of having some chicken chow mein. There was only one person, waiting for his to-go order, but I wasn't fazed because it's already way past lunchtime. The staff looked surprised but quickly welcomed me in. At this point I was ready to eat so when my plate a few min later I started grubbing, totally fotgetting to take some pics . I will say, this restaurant is called "Tasty Place" for a BIG reason. I've ordered from dozens of places in the area that were good, some even great, but the chow mein dish here stood out as to me was very delicious. Then I added some of their chili sauce (looks like they make it in-house which I believe I saw some bottled up for sale behind the desk), which elevated the flavors to a different level. The noodles were fresh and the chicken was cooked just right. Def going to add this place to our restaurant rotation!“
