The Kitchen Reviews
Great consistently tasty food. Good selection of both seafood and non seafood items. My family loves celebrating birthdays here.
The dim sum actually comes out the steamer…not the microwave.
The restaurant was cleaned and presentable. The food was just so -so. The pieces of fish had a lot of bones which was not traditional. The sweet and sour pork were more fat than meat. The Chinese broccoli was a little bitter, maybe they burned the garlic. And the mix vegetables were delicious… so it is a hit and miss?

The Kitchen is a Hong Kong-style tea restaurant known for its authentic dishes and lively atmosphere. The environment is neat and clean, creating a pleasant setting for diners. The restaurant often gets crowded, especially on weekends, which shows the popularity of the food. Customers say the food is worth the wait, with dishes like the sauteed chicken feet being flavorful and the tofu skin curd tasting fresh and not tangy. The shumai each contains two whole shrimps, and the lamb pot is highly recommended for its delicious taste. The restaurant's menu features a variety of dim sum options, including the street-style noodle, cilantro dumpling, siomai, and salted egg bun.
While the Hong Kong-style fried noodles may not be the best choice due to their soft texture, the Phoenix quicksand buns are quite special and tasty. The restaurant’s snacks are generally delicious, with big shrimps and the truffle duck being standout dishes. Service is friendly and efficient when not too busy, but during peak hours, wait times can increase. The staff makes an effort to assist, including finding English-speaking servers when needed. Prices are reasonable, offering good value for authentic Hong Kong-style cuisine.
Overall, The Kitchen is a popular spot for those craving genuine HK style food. It provides a satisfying dining experience with tasty snacks and a lively atmosphere, making it a good choice for anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable Hong Kong-style meal.
