“The galbi jjim here is amazing! It's pretty pricey, but I don't mind because the food here is really good and I don't come too often. There're a ton of different things you can try. I like the modern atmosphere and I love how cute the menus are. They're like little gates that open up and welcome you in. Be careful if you don't like spicy food, though. The spice tolerance required for mild is already pretty high.”
“Shared a family dinner. It was fantastic. Family, customer service, food and atmosphere could not have been any better. Highly recommend, hope to visit again next time we visit the Bay Area.”
“Ideally, this place deserves a 4.5/5.Nestled in the heart of Millbrae, Hana Izumi is a hidden gem that offers an experience that transcends mere dining. They have a prix fixe menu that changes every month. My friends and I went there in February. Our prix fixe menu was $98/person plus taxes. For our prix fixe menu, we had the option to pick one from the 2 entrees. You will definitely be full by the end of your meal.Note- We were a party of 3, and our bill included a 20% tip by default.Service:The service at Hana Izumi was good. The staff was attentive (except for the 2 times when we had to ask them to refill our hot tea) yet unobtrusive. Our host was knowledgeable and passionate, guiding us through the intricate kaiseki menu with genuine enthusiasm.Ambiance:Restaurant's soft lighting bathes the small space, adorned with minimalist décor and natural elements, creating a tranquil atmosphere.Food:Kobachi 3 Ways amuse bouche was a delightful prelude, showcasing the chef's artistry and precision with 3 miniature bites brimming with diverse flavors and textures. It included goma tofu, duck, and octopus. Goma tofu topped with uni was delectable. The octopus was surprisingly not as chewy as you'd usually expect. The duck was pretty good as well. The assorted sashimi included bluefin tuna, yellowtail, and ocean trout. It was impeccably fresh, and each piece just melted in our mouths.Hirame Nanban was a revelation. The perfectly crisp halibut paired beautifully with the sweet onion vinaigrette, creating a delightful contrast. The Maezawa Wagyu Soba was a fancy indulgence. The tender Wagyu beef, simmered in a savory sukiyaki broth, melted on the tongue, while the slightly firm soba noodles provided a satisfying textural contrast. The tara shirako chawanmushi was also really good, offering a unique and delicate flavor profile with its creamy egg custard and hint of sake. For the entree, I opted for the Negitoro Chirashi Bowl, a visual masterpiece with its vibrant colors and generous portion of chopped fatty bluefin tuna. Each bite was a burst of umami, perfectly complemented by the seasoned sushi rice. My friends tried their Dungeness crab zo-sui and loved it.This place is definitely worth a visit. The parking in the area can be hard to find, so please plan to arrive a little early. I looked for parking for 15 minutes and eventually ended up parking in the residential area up the hill.”
“I'm a loyal customer of the Zumix juice truck on El Camino and by random chance I decided to walk over to Jovanni's taco truck (parked right next to each other). I started off light with the first visit and ordered a plain carne asada taco with no salsa or fixings. I personally always want to see if an establishment has good meat and a tortilla for a foundation. My next visit I ventured to the Carne Asada Super Taco and I fell in love. The flavors from the salsa and meat are perfectly balanced, the perfectly grilled tortilla has a bit of a nice char to it and lastly the cheese melt on the tortilla isn't overwhelming. I also enjoy the fresh cucumbers they serve with it and the grilled onions on the side. I come here 1-2 times a week now it's just absolutely worth your time to stop and grab a bite.”
“Excellent food and very authentic. I lived in Ireland for a number of years and thoroughly enjoyed the full Irish fry for brunch. They even had Barry’s tea (I used to be more of a Lyon’s Gold Blend but Barry’s is my close second). Lovely.I went another evening and had the lamb riblets. GORGEOUS! I watched the barman pour a few Guinness. I normally don’t order Guinness in America but the barman poured a proper pint and there was plenty of Guinness flowing. Best pint of Guinness I’ve had in ages. I’ll be back!”

“Zorba's is a great family operated restaurant. This is a great place to take your family. Fresh made pizza dough that is award winning! We loved the service and the food, Highlights are Greek salad with house dressing Hand tossed pizza Mouska delicious The pasta trio with meat sauce All so good! We can't wait to return with our friends and family”
“We found this restaurant by accident and are so glad that we did. It's cozy and comfortable with booths and beautiful Italian decor.Service was excellent. Waitress knew the food and was very friendly and attentive to us.The food was out of this world! My husband got the fried calamari steak and it was so tender and flavorful. Easily the best I've ever tasted.I had the Pasta Carbonara which most restaurants mess up and make with cream. This was authentic and made with egg and pancetta just like in Italy. The flavor was outstanding!!We also had the Mushroom Polenta appetizer and it was so delicious.Highly recommend this restaurant!!Parking: It's on the frontage road and there are pull in spots right in front. Would probably be full on busy weekend nights. We went early and there were plenty of spots within easy walking distance.”
“I really enjoyed their smorked (smoked pork) and bamboo dish and the general's noodles. The string beans with the eggplant were cooked perfectly; I've had a lot of places have trouble with the string beans as of late. The "smorked" fried rice looked pretty good and would be willing to return or order take out to try. They forgot our second order of rice, but we did fine without it.”

“New favorite spot. It's really good quality food, super healthy, and at a great price. The place is very clean and modern on the inside. And the drinks were great. Coming back soon.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. Plenty.”
“This Sichuan restaurant is a gem! The dry pot shredded cabbage is incredibly tasty, and the spicy hot pot with fresh fish slices is simply outstanding. The texture of the fresh fish fillets is so amazing. If you're a fan of Sichuan cuisine, this place is a must-try!”

“Dav’s hospitality is amazing! Made our Galentines day the best! We had salad bar and a large pizza. I wish we lived in the area because this would be our go to spot. Thanks Dav!”

“Ordered the Raider sandwich, everything about it was delicious. The chicken was juicy, the produce was super fresh and the tomatoes were a rich red and super flavorful. The garlic sauce was soooo good. Service was great as well, and everyone was really friendly and kind. I was having a rough afternoon and having my lunch here turned my day around completely.”
“Went back to "Little Chengdu," which used to be "Little Sichuan" in San Mateo. Happy they're open again after the pandemic. The new place is smaller but feels cozy. Had a nice surprise when my partner debated a third dish; I remembered their big portions, so I said no. The Cold Noodle was still big enough for both of us!My favorite, the Sichuan Spicy Cold Noodle, was as good as always. Big portion, tasty sauce—satisfying.Tried Tea Smoked Duck for the first time, and it was better than expected. Tastes like smoked turkey with a hint of tea. Smelled a bit smoky, but the flavor was excellent, not too bitter. Just a heads up, parking around the area might be a bit difficult.”
“Love their breads, especially the white bread (or milk toast that's sold as both thick or thin slices) and raisin toast. Good shelf life as they usually last for a week and their breads actually stay pillowy soft! Another favorite is the Portuguese egg tarts or pastel de nata. Crispy, flaky shell with creamy, egg custard - this is definitely a great and very popular so it tends to sell out early. I've recently seen lots of people buying their steamed buns and will need to try that out. The shop is tidy and clean. Minimum $15 purchase for credit card use.”
“Only Wanpo around. Come here many many many times. Always good quality! I usually get tea with 30% sugar level, because it's the best taste and favor compared to others. Once a while I will drink the milk tea.”
“My husband and I have gone here more than a few times, and the service is amazing, fast, and welcoming. The food is always fresh, hot, and full of flavors. The ambiance feels like home it's family-friendly. Definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone!”

“The food here is really, really good. I came here to eat out with a friend of mine and ordered the house garlic noodles, Dungeness crab, and imperial rolls. I can't say much about the service since they gave me and my friend lots of time to catch up, so depending on what you expect, it's pretty good. That's why I gave service 4 stars. Good, but not exactly outstanding. The atmosphere is really nice. I would personally sit on a patio if it's offered, but that's completely your choice.”

“This place was packed, but they had plenty of staff to help everyone and get the food out as fast as they cooked it. It was also very, very clean even though they were packed”

“We tried their signature purple rice yogurt dessert and were pleasantly surprised by its delicious taste! The rice, seemingly cooked in coconut milk and brown sugar (our unconfirmed guess), adds a delicate flavor that pairs well with the plain vanilla yogurt. We loved it and will definitely return to explore more flavors!”
“The fried chicken is cooked well, but the flavor is a bit light. The baked pork chop rice has more rice than toppings, but the taste is good. The milk tea lacks a strong tea flavor and is mediocre. Overall, for afternoon tea, the price, taste, and service are decent. The chicken breasts were fried well, but the taste was bland! Baked pork chop with rice, more rice but less food, but delicious. The milk tea doesn't have enough tea flavor, it feels numb. As for afternoon tea, the price, taste, and service are all of a high standard.”
“Love this place! Its casual, not fancy, and the food is delicious. We had kebabs, lentil soup, falafel and rice pudding. The portions are large and the service is great, too. My mom uses a wheelchair, and they have tables that accommodate wheelchairs. Great place for lunch or dinner.”
“Came here for a late lunch and ordered thr katsu bowl ($8.95+tax) and the bbq traditional combo ($15.45+tax) - pretty good value for the price! The katsu was fried quite well for a fast food place - crispy outside, and not too dry inside. The sauce that came with it was tasty as well. The bbq combo had one kalbi rib, 3 pieces of bbq chicken and several large slices of thin beef- everything was seasoned thoroughly. The thin beef was a little dry, but still tasted pretty decent. There was rice and macaroni salad and some lettuce on the side as well. This is a great meatlover’s dish!Parking: Parking lot is rly busy due to the In and Out right across from it… traffic from there can back up to this parking lot”
“Clean, enjoyable, friendly breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. Can see why this place has been around for sooooo long. They are keen to please, can accomodate singles, or big groups. Something for everyone from picky eaters to dietary restrictions. Very busy weekend mornings and parking limited.”
“I love this Peet's Coffee location. I've been coming here for years and it's in a convenient spot in downtown Millbrae. The service is always friendly every time I go and the atmosphere is usually pretty comfortable. Not much to complain about when going here every now and then. Using the Peets app or any store that utilizes any mobile app is also a faster process too. My go-to is the hot Oatmilk Vanilla Latte which gets a little pricey, but it's basically similar to Starbucks pricing wise. Recently I also got the Iced Chai Latte ($5.90 for Large) and personally I like it more than Starbuck's chai lattes. The team also finishes the drinks very quickly and efficiently which is nice as well. If you are looking for good coffee options to get you through the day while you're in Millbrae then Peet's is a great choice.”
“We just landed at SFO and were looking for food while we hoped the traffic to die down on our way East to home. SO GLAD WE DID! The food, the kindness and the vibe we just right. We saved about 45 minutes by waiting here in traffic to die down. It was great for our one and a half-year-old and my wife and I. Staff was very kind and gracious to our family. We run a rafting company near Yosemite, and would love to partner with this restaurant to make an Indian Food themed trip.We got the sang panner, garlic nann, chicken, tikka masala, and the vegetable byranni. Yum Yum Yum!NAMASTE”
“Had to stop by and try there chicken sandwich here, it's actually pretty good, you can get any of your favorite flavor from there menu. I had the spicy honey rub flavor and it's fire! Very friendly service, you ask them for sample of the sauce. There's plenty of room for sitting and enjoy watching TV while eating.”
“Ben Tre has good flavor with good portion size. In my opinion the spring rolls are some of the best. The soup is in the top groups if you like beef broth. The restaurant is very clean and they are consistent throughout there locations.I always get the rare beef with brisket soup and meatball spring roll. Occasionally I will get the shaking beef or the 5spice chicken and neither option will let you down. The garlic noodles are pretty good, not oily and good flavor of garlic. A place worthy of trying for sure!Parking: Limited but not impossible, if you come on the weekends be aware they have a market and the parking may be toughWheelchair accessibility: Accessible and spacious”
“Social Eatery is a space that has 2 restaurants and 1 boba place all in one - Noodleosophy, Rice Monster, and Grapeholic. It’s very close to the Millbrae BART/Caltrain station (a 3-minute walk) and also has a pretty big parking lot??.There’s a screen near the entrance for people that are just ordering boba to-go. If you’re there for dine-in, they’ll lead you to some seats and you can order from all three places at the same time. Lots of seats for dine-in and there’s even a foosball table⚽️.Our table had a QR code for you to see the menu and order but they brought a tablet over for us to order. Not sure why but I have no issues with that??♀️.We ordered Beef Stew & Tendon (公公半筋半腩) and Pickled & Sliced Beef (知府酸湯肥牛).Took a little while for the orders to arrive (almost thought that they were preparing everything from scratch and cutting a whole cow open on the spot?), and there were kids running around in the place so it was pretty loud?. But after tasting the food, I have to say that the wait was worth it! The servings were pretty big, and the broth was very flavorful. Wasn’t too overly seasoned and the texture of the noodles were great.”
“Went for lunch on Sunday at 1pm after it was recommended by a friend for having good dimsum. We thought there would be a wait but there were a few open tables so we were seated immediately. The service was attentive and the food came quickly. Go for the food, not the ambiance. The menu isn't as extensive than a dimsum restaurant, but we appreciated the variety. Our favorites: * String beans - crisp and flavorful!* passion fruit aloe green tea - refreshing! * pork belly with charcoal buns - my son who loves Peking duck said that he would rather get these now. Not sure if the charcoal buns are supposed to taste different than normal bao - they tasted the same to us. * braised beef noodle soup with wontons - delicious shrimp wontons and a very beefy broth. * pan fried soup dumplings - tasty filling and lots of soup to slurp up. Next time we would skip: * cucumbers - too vinegary. Seems like they may have accidentally poured too much vinegar in our serving. At least that's my hope. * beef kimcheese rice - more tomatoey than kimchee flavored. * XLB trio - couldn't really tasty the truffle flavor. I wish we could order just the crab ones. The others weren't that amazing.”
“Located in downtown Millbrae and unassuming from the outside, but fish freshness inside! Came here for a weekday dinner so it wasn't crowded and the servers were very polite. Miso soup was good but no tofu, and salad could've used more dressing. The Negitoro (fatty tuna, green onion) roll and there was wasabi inside, I enjoyed this. The Deluxe Sushi which included 8 pieces total - 2 pc tuna, yellowtail, halibut, salmon, shrimp, salmon roe, egg/tamago. The egg had a hint of sweetness. The yellowtail sashimi entree came with 10 pieces and soup & salad. Each piece of fish was fresh and delicious! I left feeling satisfied with, would come again to try their other dishes and specials.”
“Stroganoff. A dish done poorly all too often (Stoffer's, anyone?) but all so magical when done right. London, HK, Germany and Poland, all places I've had it at varying levels but few as memorable as the one here at Sixteen. As a fellow participant in the restaurant business, these guys make a mean steak and a noodle dish that's easily unrivaled by any location in the area. Grab the keys to the Imperial, come to Sixteen and have a few old fashions with the stroganoff. Decadence at the highest levels await!”
“We have recently returned from living for a year in Penang, Malaysia (not too far from Ipoh). I can honestly say this food is just as good if not better than what we found in Penang, which is the food capitol! We loved the references to Penang in the restaurant in the form of cute murals found in Georgetown. We enjoyed the char kuey teow, the green beans with belachan, the roti canai and the curry laksa. It was all delicious and very fresh ingredients. The owner is very nice and we enjoyed chatting with her and sharing stories. We will be back!”
“The food was really good and the restaurant owner and server were so kind!! We got recommended a lot of Hubei dishes: crayfish, eggplant and century egg, wuhan hot dry noodles, and more! All of it was so good! Would definitely recommend this place, especially if you are looking for authentic tasting Hubei cuisine.”
“The environment is clean, the beef noodle soup is very clear, the taste is quite fresh, and the noodles are very chewy. We also recommend the hand-caught lamb and beef ribs, the meat is full of flavor. Yangzhi nectar is also delicious.”

“Ai Grill's charm is definitely the automatically rotating skewer system and the binchotan charcoal that they bring out just for your table once you place your order. Paired with the neon lights and stylish interior, a bbq dinner here definitely felt tasted like a premium experience while still supporting a local mom and pop restaurant. My friend and I had a great time here ordering via the ala carte skewers, wagyu fried rice, and a sweet potato fries side. The skewers were packed with smoky umami with our favorites being the lamb, US prime beef, and pork jowl. The sweet potato fries were also so light and crispy that we couldn't help but grab more - we finished this at lightning speed. Our server was so sweet and attentive, giving us detailed instructions on the best cooking time/sauce pairing for each meat, checking in several times with water, and offering free watermelon and coupons to finish off the meal. Overall this was a super satisfying dinner for both food and service quality. Just one minor critique I have is that Ai Grill's price point positions this to be a "once in a while" dinner rather than an easy splurge, despite skewers being a street food genre. I tend to think of beef and lamb skewers as the showstealers when it comes to Chinese bbq, but beef skewers starting at ~$7 here brings some hesitation to go big with the first skewer order. I genuinely hope that Ai Grill keeps growing their customer base since their weekend service still had space to fill when we went (granted we went right at opening time).”
“2nd time here, order turn around time is fast, food quality was great, original Hong kong style cafe, parking is limited at this location but you can park Comerica parking lot just next to the building. Interior set up is warm and daily go to cafe recommended to all.”
“The lunch sets provide a reasonable set of options and some substitutions are possible. The fish congee was excellent. We'll be back again when we are around here.”
“Just tried new item coconut chicken soup. It’s delicious. We added an order of white noodle. Good enough for me and my wife. Including tax and tips $31.7. It is less than what I paid for two pho yesterday.”
“This is the place to go if you're craving duck or traditional Chinese comfort food. Duck from Cheung Hing is and always has been YUMMY! But very very disappointed that they've increased their whole duck price to an exorbitant amount. To protest, I will now only eat duck on special occasions. They'd probably make more via volume if they lowered their price back down to something reasonable. If I was a billionaire, I'd still say the same! Anyway, this is also a great place to go for dinner with the family/extended family, and the service is good!”
“We tried a mix of Sichuan and Northern Chinese dishes atYummy Szechuan, and the flavors were impressive. However, as a spicy food fan, I found the Spicy Pork Ear, Chongqing Spicy Chili Chicken, and Mao Xue Wang a bit milder than I prefer. If you're like me and love extra heat, consider asking for more chili in these dishes. Despite the spice level, the quick service, varied flavors, and cozy atmosphere made the experience enjoyable. The Toothpick Lamb With Cumin, The Salted Egg with Golden Sand Prawns, and The Chongqing Spicy Chili Chicken stood out, even if they weren't super spicy.”
“When I came to the United States and got tired of eating hamburgers and other Western-style food, I had no choice but to eat tofu pot to satisfy my craving for white rice. This Mom's Tofu is very close to the hotel, within walking distance, and there is good parking nearby. Shopping and drinking coffee can be arranged nearby, which is very convenient. After eating the tofu hotpot for two days in a row, I feel that the taste is not much different. In California, the soft tofu hotpot is usually meat + tofu hotpot + small dishes. It is similar to Taiwan, the taste is not too spicy, and the price is higher than the previous day. Food is more expensive in Los Angeles.”

Royal Feast
“Authentic Chinese restaurant serving delicious food at some of the most affordable prices (especially their lunch special of $9.95/dish from M-F 11 AM - 2 PM). They specialize in Szechaun cuisine, so watch out for the spice. Some of the best dishes are their duck and their twice-cooked pork. The staff are incredibly friendly and consistently check-in with the guests. The restuarant has a a small cozy feel and was well decorated when I visited a few weeks after the Lunar New Year. There is even a wall of celebrities who have visited! One of the other redeeming qualities is their platter of Chinese candies by the exit.”
24 Hour Restaurants
“Given that it's a vending machine, it's fairly decent. Veggies and meat all re-hydrated nicely. A bit pricey, but really convenient. It is very important that you stir it and let it sit as soon as possible.”
“After a long flight it was time to eat our McDonalds in the United States of America. The food here is great and the restaurant itself is amazing too. People are really friendly and the service is fast.”
“This place is great for a quick sushi bite. You can try a lot of different dishes here because the plates are small and very inexpensive! Atmosphere is similar to one of those Japanese bending machine restaurants. You place your order on a tablet with minimal human contact.”

“The food tastes so delicious. This restaurant operates by a couple, they are so nice to customers. But they didn't hire any staff to take orders/packing the delivery/clean up tables, they do that all by themselves, which I totally understand because the owner told me it is very difficult to run a restaurant after a pandemic, it is impossible to earn any revenue if they hire staff. BTW, one of the best family restaurants in Millbrae San Mateo.”
Takeout Restaurants
“I've been having breakfast at Peter's Café for more than 10 years. Service is always good. Food is always good. Portions are substantial. They have an extensive menu and a mind case I can order a hamburger for breakfast highly recommend as a place to go for breakfast or lunch. They are not open for dinner.”
“This place is so cute. Yummy snacks and treats. They have a wide variety of fun chip flavors and snacks from Asia. Pastries are delish. They even have Adobo and Sinigan flavored Chex mix. I'm definitely coming back.”
“Very cute to-go place. Perfect for a quick lunch pick up especially if you work in South City. I got the unagi with egg (savory with a hint of sweetness) and takoyaki which were both hot and fresh! I want to try the fruit sando and pork sando next time.I purchased it at the Kei Sushi location.”
“My go-to drink is the pure grape, reminiscent of a creamy grape slushy. The chewy crystal boba adds a delightful texture. I highly recommend opting for no sugar--it's naturally sweet enough, believe me. This boba shop is tucked inside a Chinese restaurant, exuding a very casual, typical boba shop vibe. Service-wise, it's quick and efficient, ensuring a fast experience.”
“Chef Wang's is a nice little spot serving up delicious Chinese Korean cuisine. We ordered the Seafood Combination, Salt and Pepper Fish, and Jjampong (Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup). The Seafood Combination was deliciously umami with plenty of the wok flavor. It included scallops, sea cucumbers, shrimp, and plenty of choy so definitely a great dish to share. Salt and Pepper Fish was fried nicely and had a beautifully crunchy texture. This peppers were not as spicy, so we added a few sprinkles of white pepper to bring up the heat. A nice cook on it nonetheless. The JJampong portion here is huge and can definitely share between two or three people with plenty of noodles to go around. The soup is adorn with zucchini, cabbage, onions, shrimp, clams, and small slices of pork. The broth is ever so spicy, not too salty. I am used to the broth having more of a seafood flavor, but this one definitely had more of a vegetable broth taste. Service was nice and attentive, but restaurant was a bit more empty as we had arrived mid day. Overall, there was plenty of flavor in the fishes, good portions, and we can't wait to come here again to try other dishes as the menu is quite unique given its combination of cultures.”

“Originally I came to try their Taro 2.0 drink but it seems to always be out of stock.....My second choice was the Oreo Matcha which I really liked. Boba was nice and chewy. Alterations to non-dairy milk is included, which I appreciate since most places charge extra. However I think ~$8 is a bit pricy, especially for the smaller sized cup. If they ever replenish their Taro drink I shall return.”
“Came here straight from the SFO airport around 9.15pm as almost all (Asian) restaurants were closed at 8 or 8.30pm.Food and service was great. We had garlic prawns, tom yum, fried chicken over fried rice, sticky rice mango and thai iced tea.We left with happy tummy.”
“This place is great for a quick sushi bite. You can try a lot of different dishes here because the plates are small and very inexpensive! Atmosphere is similar to one of those Japanese bending machine restaurants. You place your order on a tablet with minimal human contact.”
“Great service, clean, fast kitchen, WiFi. The Tai salad was underwhelming. We needed a quick place to meet for an airport run, they got us the food quickly and the beef noodle was tasty.”
“De.Lish.Us. Worth the wait for sure. Want sure how to eat it since they brought me a giant spoon, so used it to mix it up then used my sticks. Was super hot (temperature) but tasted great! I'll be back. (Can we turn the heat up inside, though?)”
“Thanks for the additional details on the tamales! I've incorporated your specific feedback into an updated review below: Super Burritos Menu Review: Tamale Combo Plate - Chicken Shines, Beef Falls Short On my quest for tamales, I decided to give Super Burritos' combo plate a try. For $13.95, you get your choice of two tamales (Beef or Chicken) accompanied by rice, beans, and salad. First up was the Beef tamale, which earned 3 stars. While the masa had a nice corn flavor and the filling was well-seasoned, the overall texture was a bit too dry for my liking. It wasn't unpleasant, but some additional moisture would have greatly improved the experience. The Chicken tamale, however, fared much better with 4 stars. The filling was tender and flavorful, and the masa struck a better balance of taste and texture compared to its beefy counterpart. This is definitely the tamale to choose if you opt for the combo plate. The included sides of rice, beans, and veggies rounded out the meal decently. While Super Burritos' tamales may not be the absolute best in town, the Chicken variety satisfied my craving. If I return, I'll likely stick with Chicken and perhaps explore some of their other menu offerings. The combo plate is a solid value and worth a try if you're in the area seeking a tamale fix.”

Sushi Kei

Earl Spicy
“We came to Earl Spicy to celebrate Lunar New Year 2024. Our friends have been several times and suggested it for our Lunar New Year celebration. Everything we ordered was delicious! The spicy crab was so unique. Sichuan at its' best! I am Asian and this might tbe the best crab I've ever had! The fish was also so delicious. Savory, spicy and just perfection. We had lamb with noodles which were expertly prepared. The noodles were cooked to the ideal peak. The owner is very sweet and came to our table to ensure we were enjoying our meal and to bring us a special treat for dessert. I highly recommend, especially if you enjoy lots of delicious, spicy, yet balanced flavor.”
“Great Chinese restaurant. I really love their seafood. The fried fish was so tender, not dry at all. The beef was also equally as tender. And of course, the porridge was great. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of that, but we got Scallops & Clams Sawo Porridge and it was ”

“Very friendly cashier. I wish the fries were hot instead of barely warm. The main purpose of the visit was to take my kid for the root beer float. Good experience, so I will return with my other kid for the root bear float and some other food on our next visit.Update: Different cashier today. Very nice lady with a 49ers #10 white jersey was very friendly and pleasant. As stated last Sunday that I would bring my other kids, I did, and they were very happy dining here. Ordered the same meal from last week, the wrap combo- honey bbq and spicy Mac and cheese, and three chicken pot pies.”
“What makes this specific location versus the rest along the "El Camino" so much more pleasurable to visit (Not only when I'm picking up for Drdash or Uber Eats) but for a quick meal is the SERVICE.I totally understand it's just a fast food joint and seems like nowadays customer service has been devalued by most FF joints but in the past year I've always had a very welcoming (with a smile) visit here by the staff and cleanliness in the dining area has been superb on every visit.Whomever is running this location, I commend you and your staff on the above mentioned as well as give you major credit for prompt & most importantly getting every order correctly I've been handed each time. Not to mention, always including napkins & sauces (worst thing is when u open ur bag to enjoy ur food and the restaurant didn't give any napkins or sauces or utensils). In conclusion- Thank U very much!! (2da staff)When your hungry & are cruising down El Camino take that extra few minutes & stop at this location, You will def notice the difference !!!Kbb ®”
“It's KFC and when it comes down to it when you want quick service for fried chicken with its signature Original/Crispy Fried Chicken. This is the place to go within the Millbrae area. The location itself is pretty convenient bc it's half and AW but also it is one of the few drive thru KFC in the area. I can only say in my experience that service is indeed fast and never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my order. Workers are workers and it's a plus if you get great service but I've experienced good/fair service from this location. All in all the convenience and fast service is what stands out the most.”
“I am very satisfied with the environment, service and taste. It’s just, it’s really a bit salty! ! ! I am willing to eat it again. If it is still so salty, I will definitely leave a message to the kitchen chef! It tastes really good and the portion is plenty! ! ! Two people had four dishes and one soup, and all the regular soups for five people were finished, and the dishes were all packed.”
“We had a family party there. Pizza was great..service was awesome...clean and accomadating. When three generations are satisfied it is a win win. I highly reccomend having your next gathering there.”
Cheap Eats
“This is a good Bagel Street location. The one in Redwood Shores is better. We came around 1pm and the selection of bagels was depleted. We got our usual bagel dog and a bagel with cream cheese and tomato. It didn't taste as good as the ones at their other locations. Service was fast.”
“This taco truck has the best barbacoa beef. Burritos, tacos, - you cannot go wrong. The owners are friendly and the service is quick. This is a popular truck with great food. Highly recommend”
“tldr; quick and surprisingly tasty bites before entering the departure hall It seems odd to review a place which is basically fast food / food court fare, but Potrero Grill has become a staple for me before I fly out of SFO. Service is basic as you'd expect - go up the counter, pay and they'll call out your number when it's ready. What stands out is that everything is freshly grilled - my favorite so far is the fish and chips. It doesn't look particularly nice, but the fish is fresh and the chips decent. It's a great way to fill up in case you don't want to rely too much on the in-flight meal options. This is located in the "Marketplace", on the left side of the international terminal (gate G). The seating is typical food court, but it's pretty clean / functional with a variety of seating options.”
“Our family enjoys eating at Naked Fish in Millbrae. Their sushi rolls and bento boxes are always delicious. There are many options to choose from between the menu and their daily specials. Their food is presented well and amply portioned. Their service is consistently good and the servers are attentive. Whether we eat a late lunch or dinner with family and friends, we always leave this place full and content. My only criticism of this place is the location. Because the gym is directly above it, more specifically, the weight room, you can hear the weights dropping on the floor on certain occasions and it’s distracting. However, because we enjoy eating here more than anything else, we tolerate the noise on the few instances it’s happened. There is ample parking around, both on the street and in the parking lot next to it.Overall, I recommend you try this restaurant if you’re in the neighborhood.”
“First time here and the food is good! It looks like three different vendors in one place, but you can order from one menu. We got biang biang noodles in garlic chili oil and curry chicken. Looking forward to coming again!”
“I don't like Starbucks coffee, but when you can get a pumpkin cold brew for $2, it's pretty hard to ignore such an offer. Overall, I have 2 reasons why I am writing this review: 1) if you're a Safeway member, you can enter your number and get any coffee for two dollars until 9/13/22; 2) I liked the employee who worked behind the cash register. She was friendly and listened carefully to all my coffee request (no sugar, no cream, just pumpkin flavor). And that's the main reason I gave such rating to a place where I'm not particularly fond of the taste of coffee. If an employee knows how to give kindness and a smile, then people should appreciate it, because it makes your morning a little better!”
“Been coming here for years, new owners looks like some construction going on. Thai milk tea and mango freeze drinks are my favorite along with their original Eggettes the new ownership makes everything the same so I am happyParking: Plenty of parking on street or lot side and backWheelchair accessibility: Front door is wheelchair accessible”
“I made an order for only one of my favorite dishes “38. Vietnamese Beef Stew Noodle Soup” Large size. The portion was huge and the taste was so good. The beef stew’s made perfectly the way I love it. I will definitely go back for it again and again. Thank you for making my day!”
“No matter whether it comes to texture, flavor, freshness, preservability, or value Choc Cookies earns high praise from me. Their product is so much greater than many so called high quality artisan bakeries.Encountering Choc Cookies was a fun surprise that made my day. I had just moved into the neighborhood and was out for a walk, just exploring the area. I noticed a lot of people driving and walking behind the closed Bagel Street Cafe. Curiosity peaked, I followed the pedestrians to find some enterprising individuals selling cookies out of the back.I was hesitant to encourage my greedy waistline, but the earnestness of the Choc Team and the tantalizing aroma of their baked goods won me over. I ended up buying a box of their Churro and Oreo cookies as my first purchase.Furthermore, they keep customers coming back with their fresh flavors and piping hot product. I know because I went back again to get another box of their chocolate chip and Oreo cookies to share with my friends when I hosted game night and wasn’t left with a single crumb.I hands down recommend everyone to give Choc Cookies a try and decide for themselves how many they should buy next time they come back.P.S. Get some milk from the Safeway next door too ??.”
“I love this place for ice cream cakes, I love this place for the service, and I absolutely love them for how much my kids love them!If only they could bring back Mississippi mud I could give you six stars. ?Dietary restrictions: Everything is clearly labeled and every staff member has let me know any additional information whenever I've ordered an ice cream cake.Parking: You can easily find parking in the back parking lot located police station and walk through the shopping center, or, easily find parking at a meeting or timed for free.Kid-friendliness: They have been nothing more than kid catering, so if you're an adult be careful! If you're a kid you're going to get everything you like and more!Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible through anything on the first floor with multiple ramps.”
“So if you can make your pizza a little worse, I may actually get another slice between my kids! How is it that you guys are the only ones that can make the thick, fat, bread-- and still put the most ridiculous toppings for my kids (mushroom pineapple) but never get to eat but a slice? (Oh, and any dropped cheese, too!)And thank you... you're pretty inexpensive, but I thank you mostly because I'm really impressed on how quickly you cook such good stuff. It's a real big bummer I don't live next door (I'd be able to walk back now and buy my own pizza now that the kiddos ate it all!)Thank you guys.I'll buy two or twelve next time. That's my lesson ?Vegetarian options: The kid is a vegetarian. Or pescatarian? I'm not really sure but we're not adamantly checking ingredients-- just about her not liking meat.Dietary restrictions: AdhdParking: Call in parking lot behind, off Street and parking on street.Kid-friendliness: Are you kidding? They love kids there. Every time they end up with extra prizes! (And cookies they won't share with mom.)(Where's the mom prize menu or Mom friendliness option? LOL)Wheelchair accessibility: First floor ramp close by.”
“Cream cheese frosting is life! The cakes are always moist and sooooo delicious. Even just the plain vanilla is divine! I like to order online the night before and pick-up the next day. If you order extra frosting, CHECK THAT THEY REMEMBERED before leaving. Join their birthday club ... you'll get a free bundtlet every year for your special day. It's the size of 2-3 cupcakes. YUM!! Parking is easy and free here.”
“I have to admit, the food here isn't all that great, especially for how much it costs. The popcorn chicken was $9 and not very filling. Their matcha drinks aren't very good, and the honey green tea has a hint of bitterness to it, which I don't mind exactly, by other might. The quality of their toppings differs on the time of day and the workers. Sometimes, their pearls are chewy and slightly firm, while other times, they are undercooked and leave a starchy taste in your mouth. Their egg puffs also take a long time to cook, and I was late to a meeting because of it. I do like their fries, though. I recommend getting extra seasoning. The service is good. That's pretty much it. Not outstanding, exactly, but good enough in my opinion. I do wish, though, that they wouldn't throw away a drink that they messed up and would instead give the customer both drinks like the TeaHut nearby. The atmosphere is quite nice. I like what they did to one of the walls where the wallpaper is composed of a variety of toppings they serve there. It's pretty cozy and I like to go there if I have something to work on, unless there are a bunch of high schoolers sitting somewhere who are going to make a bunch of noise.Overall, this place isn't bad, but it isn't the greatest. It's nice enough for me to come here every once in a while if I'm in a rush, but otherwise, I would find some other place to go to.”
“Stopped in this morning for a veggie salad. Great service, friendly staff, way better than the subway in Burlingame. I stopped going to the Burlingame location because of rude service, even ordering $20 worth of Subway each trip. I didn't realize there was another Subway right here in Millbrae. This is now my go-to Subway. Easy parking and fast service.”
“i've been to so many starbucks but this one definitely made a huge impression! every barista greeted those who entered and i really liked how cheerful the barista taking my order was. my go to drink this season is the iced gingerbread oatmilk chai! this drink was the perfect amount of sweet and cinnamon. parking is pretty bad because of it being located on such a busy street - but i like the abundant amount of outdoor seating especially since millbrae often has great weather!”

“We took 2 different donuts from here. Both were custard filled and one had a chocolate on top. The filled custard felt more like cream than a custard. And the sweetness of the filling was too low. Will get the same donuts again as it's not worth it for us. The size of the donuts are large and fluffy and they are expensive. We also took a slice of chocolate cake with macaroons on top. It tasted great.”

“I've been having breakfast at Peter's Café for more than 10 years. Service is always good. Food is always good. Portions are substantial.
