“Second time here and it was just as good as the first! Came in on a Monday night for dinner and they were packed, but no line which was great.
Went with their pork broth and I gotta say it had great flavor and their beef ribeye was tender! You can taste the quality in their meats. The grill and side dishes are always a plus.
The restaurant is on the smaller side but awesome atmosphere, attentive service and good people there! Will be back!”

“Gillian & Gina run a beautiful business. My favorite thing to do is to make a reservation and bring friends to get the traditional Afternoon Tea Service. They also offer a more casual walk-up menu. This menu includes assorted Tea Sandwiches, Scones served with Clotted Cream and Preserves, Crumpets served with Meyer Lemon Curd, Assorted Sweets and a large variety of Loose-Leaf Teas. Everything is delicious. Also this past year they have been generously hosting Pop Ups for local makers. They also have lots of treasures for sale. Lovey's is a wonderful place.”

“Revisited this spot & still so good. Tried the vegan iced Thai tea for the first time and it was delicious!! The alternative is coconut milk fyi. My go to is the pork ban mi but most items I’ve had are good. A perf little spot after spending the day in Pacifica surf or hiking. Ps. Love that they are always blasting the jams in there!

“My son took me here for lunch - we’d been meaning to try it. We were very pleased - amazing view with tiered tables so other guests aren’t blocking the view. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious and nicely presented. As a nice addition, there was a pianist playing while we dined which added to the ambience. We will come back because it was such a nice treat. One of those places that makes me love living in California!”

“This place is wonderful! I've tried almost everything on the menu, standout items are xiaolongbao, fresh cucumber salad, zha-jiang noodles, and spicy wontons. All of the vegetable dishes are good, but the spicy green beans are my favorite. I live in the neighborhood so I go every week, one of the best places in linda mar.”

“Longboard Bar and the people of Pacifica are a whole vibe. I cannot express this deep enough. Nestled along the coast, this venue is spacious, the service and hospitality of the bartenders is on point, and the people, oh the people. We had the lovely old woman who served us with amazing humor and sass, it was just lovely interacting with her. The food was so good, we had the vegetable tempura dinner (amazing), the Charlie Brown roll (real crab!!!), the Kani Kosen (bomb), and the spicy tuna roll (I’m not a huge raw fish fan but the flavor was great)!”

“While they aren't the fastest, they make pretty darn good sandwiches!
Ok...what does that opening sentence truly mean?
Well, I don't think my wife and I have ever gotten a sandwich from this spot that we didn't enjoy. Their veggies are usually very fresh and they truly make good sandwiches. They just take a long time to do it.
Last night, we decided that we wanted sandwiches for dinner and I drove into Linda Mar to get them (our other sandwich shop is Mr. Pickles and you can read that review here as well).
It appears I got there just before closing as the person who took my order said that they were only taking "to-go" orders. She didn't say it in any fashion that was off-putting...just stating it as fact. That was at about 6:40pm.
Our order was two sandwiches.
The order came out at 7:22pm, but it was perfectly made and my wife said, "It's exactly the taste I was craving."
42 minutes was quite a bit of time to make two sandwiches, but the taste was worth the wait.
The time was similar other times we've ordered from there.
Give them a shot, but plan a little time for them to make the sandwiches.

“Love the food and the vibes at this authentic Thai "mom and pop" old neighborhood fixture! It's not a fancy place, but it's delicious and full of character from the sweet woman and endearingly grumpy man who run it every day. Love to come (and bring friends) whenever we are passing by.
Vegetarian options: Lots of veg options, & it seems you also ask for veg instead of meat (like in a curry dish)”

“Taqueria Pacifica: A Hidden Gem!
We recently had the pleasure of dining at Taqueria Pacifica, and so glad we did! The reviews are spot on! From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a clean and inviting atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home.
But the real star of the show was the food. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. The flavors were bold and authentic, and the portions were generous. Whether you're craving tacos, burritos, or enchiladas, Taqueria Pacifica has something to satisfy your cravings.
If you're looking for a casual and delicious Mexican dining experience, I highly recommend giving Taqueria Pacifica a try. You won't be disappointed!”

“These sisters treat us like family when we come by for our weekend coffee fix! Not only are they incredibly kind, they're also very conscious of the ingredients they use in their foods. I recommend trying anything with their house granola; it's got whole cashews and pumpkin seeds that add a great crunch to their organic acai bowls. Oh! And their baba ganoush is the best in town ?
They're far enough from the beach that you can escape the hustle and bustle of the weekend crowd, but still within walking distance.”

“They might close before 9? Walked in Friday night at 7:20pm and most of the lights were out (but their door was open). Asked if they were open and a older gentleman gestured for us to sit. (Update: Tried to go at 7:40pm another night and they were already shut down tighter than a drum. It's like they're allergic to money.)
Food was good but service was odd. Like if you didn't grow up with a surly, emotionally distant Asian mom like I did, you may feel uncomfortable. For instance, the first thing out of her mouth was not "welcome" or simply "hi," but "no more buffet." Not sure if they meant "today" or "*ever*," but I didn't ask...?
I think the woman was the chef and not only the waitress because she walked between the kitchen and the fridge (just out in the dining room) a lot as well as served us, while the man mostly just sat there.
Garlic chicken, mo hinga (fish soup), and pork curry were great. The mo hinga was not fishy and was topped with delicious fried lentils that were like a crunchier version of tempura flakes. The pork curry included hunks of soft, gelatinous tendon (not fat but you might get confused) and came with rice. The rice noodles were a bit thin and on the cusp of becoming too soft.
Tea leaf salad was good too but not as good as at Rangoon Ruby. You have to mix it a lot or the clumps of tea will be too salty.
I feel a little snubbed that another reviewer got homemade chili sauce but we got a bottle of Huy Fong sriracha, lol.
Portions and prices are reasonable. Two of us polished off 4 dishes.
Shan noodles are apparently the dish to get at Burmese, according to Eater San Francisco, but I didn't notice they had it until later.
The menu has no prices and the bill apparently includes tax and doesn't charge any B.S. fees. We tipped well and paid cash because I couldn't trust Maps saying they take card and communication was a bit difficult.”
“Pulled up, service was AMAZING, staff is cool as hell. Everyone is friendly, helpful, funny, immediately made us feel like locals. Great pours. Daniel was an amazing bartender. If you need a chill spot to kick back and enjoy drinks this is the spot!”

“This was my first visit to this storefront Trattoria. While this isn't an attractive venue, it is quite comfortable. All the white tablecloth tabletops make it warm and welcoming. The food is well prepared. There is an ample menu. The caprese salad, Pollo Saltimbocca, and limoncello cake were fantastic. All portions are very generous. Except for the cake. I could have eaten an entire cake, instead of just a slice! Our waiter, Eduardo, was attentive but never intrusive. I'll be back soon.

“Cute spot. Love the Halloween decor they put up. Came here upon recommendations from someone who used to live the area. Have been here twice now. I don't eat Mexican food often, so my opinion may be biased, but this is probably one of my default Mexican places to go to. If I only had one fault, while it might just be due to the price of rent in the area, the price is a little more than I would expect. And after confirming with the person who referred, the location does seem to have raised prices over the years. Unfortunate, but does not deter from stopping by for quick and good burritos and qusadillas whenever in the area”

“We love this place and come here every time we’re in Pacifica. There’s friendly atmosphere, outside tables, and good healthy food. We usually get a burrito- which are tasty and big, and this time we added a tamale which I really enjoyed as well. I’ve tried quite a few things here and loved them all. I’m mostly vegetarian and husband loves meat and this place is great for both of us.

“as a latino I really love this place. the food is a little greasy and messy and that's how I like it. The quesabirrias are very good, quessadillas are a little sloppy, the carne asada is nice and charred. free chips, salsa, and pickled jalapeños.
the restaurant is not a fancy place to eat and I think that's great.”

“This is our first time here and we'll be back soon.
The food and service are excellent.
They serve gnocchi 3 ways. We opted for the creamy pesto sauce. The gnocchi was cooked to perfection and the sauce was out of this world.
We also had the chicken parmesan. This is a dish I cook at home and it's a big hit with the family, but I have to say that Buona Italia's sauce was so good, I wish I could replicate it.
For dessert we had home-made cannoli and it was probably the best we've had.
Our server, Arturo, was super friendly and helpful. I wanted to pull up a chair and invite him to join us.
Vegetarian options: Salads, gnocchi, and pastas”
