“Gillian & Gina run a beautiful business. My favorite thing to do is to make a reservation and bring friends to get the traditional Afternoon Tea Service. They also offer a more casual walk-up menu. This menu includes assorted Tea Sandwiches, Scones served with Clotted Cream and Preserves, Crumpets served with Meyer Lemon Curd, Assorted Sweets and a large variety of Loose-Leaf Teas. Everything is delicious. Also this past year they have been generously hosting Pop Ups for local makers. They also have lots of treasures for sale. Lovey's is a wonderful place.”

“Decent hotpot spot overall. The experience was okay—nothing particularly special, but still enjoyable. The pork broth is definitely the highlight and worth trying since it has good flavor. Service and atmosphere were average, so it’s a fine place if you’re craving hotpot but not necessarily a standout destination.”

“Fun surfer punk dive bar with cheap drinks and outdoor patio, complete with surfboards. Free popcorn and occasional handcrafted wood oven Italian pizza for sale outside. Surprisingly, many big names have played at this tiny beach venue, like The Mummies & Supersuckers! This place continues to create new memories for me each time!”

“Very good! Loved getting the peanuts and cabbage salad as we sat down.

The best:
- pork and chive dumplings
- spicy wontons

Good:
- ground pork and tofu golden soup
- bbq steam buns

Underwhelming:
- cucumber salad. Normally I love this dish, but the flavor of the sesame oil and garlic did not come through on the cucumber. It tasted like the cucumbers were plated immediately after being crushed and chopped instead of getting some salt and 5-10 minutes of rest.”

“Love the food here. Can’t go wrong with any of their banh mi sandwiches! They’re all good!!! Got the bbq pork today and shrimp and chicken spring rolls. The bread is soft with a perfect crunch on the outside. Spring rolls was a perfect size and you get 3 with your choice of sauce. It’s located in a shopping center so lots of parking. Got our food at a reasonable amount of time… about 10 mins. Store is clean and staff is super friendly. There is outdoor seating in case you want to bring your pup:).”

“I love this spot! My sister used to work here while I was growing up as well as a few friends while I was in my teens. It has always been a peaceful place to draw, read, catch up with a friend, and sip coffee with a snack. They have changed ownership a number of times and always retained good quality! From time to time a man will come in and play piano on the out of tune wooden one. Mostly 60s-early 80s music, he knows all the lyrics too! The landscape artwork by Pam Anderberg is really phenomenal and matches the coastal energy of the cafe. Couldn’t speak higher of a cafe in Pacifica!
The line can be a bit overwhelming on weekends if there is an event. When there was a running event I think it took 20 minutes to get a coffee and muffin.

Reducing a star because of a female barista here that gave terrible service. I asked if I could order two separate single shot espressos, instead of a double shot to which she responded “take your scam somewhere else this is a small business etc.” and generally took a harsh tone. I still ordered and just got a double shot. When I gave her cash for this, she tossed the change back across the counter from my purchase which slid onto the floor. This interaction has stuck with me as I’ve never had a problem visiting this cafe before. Anytime I see this barista behind the counter I decide I’ll just have coffee at home instead.”

“The eatery is conveniently close to Highway 1. The inside space is appealing, the cuisine is expertly cooked, and the servers are attentive and amiable. Although the restaurant's interior is small, there are benches outdoors. There were also restrooms. A pleasant setting for a holiday.”

“Third times a charm. They were open this time. So i put my laundry in the wash next door and headed over to Kitten.

I had the shrimp Mayo toasted Bread. I thought it was great. Also had the egg roll plate. They were pretty good. Both items were served popping hot. I had to wait and let them cool. This is always a must for me... hot food needs to be hot.

I had the BBQ pork sandwich. It was a little salty for me but im also getting over a cold and my tastey buds are probably a little wacky.

The bread was fresh and perfect crunchy.

All in all I will give this place another shot.”

“This was a great meal! The side salad/soup/apps/entrees came out of the kitchen fairly spaced out so it felt almost like a fine dining experience. Did take a while so know that it is a whole dining experience - not just a quick meal out to eat. I got the Saba no Shioyaki grilled and liked that better than the sushi my partner got. The tempura was amazing and so was the Age Dashi Tofu appetizer!”

“It was my first time here and I actually really enjoyed coming here. The service was so great and kind, I will happily come again because the food was also fantastic. I had the Italian sausage sandwich which was fantastic, it wasn't to greasy but also the right amount of messy like good food should be when it's from small mom and pop places like this. I will definitely come back with my friend who recommend it.”

“The meat was tender and smokey with rich flavor. The ribs were tasty. My wife liked the brisket, it was moist and had good texture. The beans were ordinary. The slaw was good. Everyone liked the corn bread.”

But pay attention to your bill. they over charged me for a burrito and when I mentioned it was an expensive at $31 I should have asked to see the receipt prior to leaving. It was not until I got home and looked at the receipt that I notice they overcharged me by $10. that is on me for not looking as I was in a rush to get out of there.”

“My son took me here for lunch - we’d been meaning to try it. We were very pleased - amazing view with tiered tables so other guests aren’t blocking the view. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious and nicely presented. As a nice addition, there was a pianist playing while we dined which added to the ambience. We will come back because it was such a nice treat. One of those places that makes me love living in California!”

“Breaker’s is a great comfortable place to get a broad variety of “comfort food” at a reasonable price. Staff are very welcoming and attentive. Portions are definitely biased towards large. Our favorites are Crab Panini, Patty Melt, and Monte Christo. Definitely an affordable casual good quality restaurant close to picturesque scenery with numerous hiking trails.”

“This review is not for the food, but for the customer service at this location. I ordered, ate, and left, only to go home and realize my phone earbuds were missing.

I called the store and a man who I think was the manager picked up. Not only did he look for them, he also asked me if I had associated a name with my order and what I got so he could check the video footage. He was able to pinpoint when I was there and told me he'd call me back if he saw that I'd dropped them on the video.

I ended up finding them, but I am so deeply appreciative of the time the employees here took to reassure me they were doing everything they could to help me with my lost item. They truly went above and beyond and I hope they are recognized for it.”

Service is friendly and prompt, with several check-ins for more coffee. We’ve taken grandkids here to celebrate birthday breakfasts. Price can be high, but the quality is good. Plenty of parking.”

“I've been dining at this restaurant for club events for several years. Our club receives a varied menu: prime rib, Chicken Cordon Bleu, salmon or surf and turf. The price of our meals include wine, hors d'oeuvres, dessert and gratuity. That's pretty reasonable given today's expensive eateries. The staff is friendly, personable and professional. Food is prepared quickly and efficiently. I recommend this restaurant for small parties/groups. 😊”

“They might close before 9? Walked in Friday night at 7:20pm and most of the lights were out (but their door was open). Asked if they were open and a older gentleman gestured for us to sit. (Update: Tried to go at 7:40pm another night and they were already shut down tighter than a drum. It's like they're allergic to money.)

Food was good but service was odd. Like if you didn't grow up with a surly, emotionally distant Asian mom like I did, you may feel uncomfortable. For instance, the first thing out of her mouth was not "welcome" or simply "hi," but "no more buffet." Not sure if they meant "today" or "*ever*," but I didn't ask...?

I think the woman was the chef and not only the waitress because she walked between the kitchen and the fridge (just out in the dining room) a lot as well as served us, while the man mostly just sat there.

Garlic chicken, mo hinga (fish soup), and pork curry were great. The mo hinga was not fishy and was topped with delicious fried lentils that were like a crunchier version of tempura flakes. The pork curry included hunks of soft, gelatinous tendon (not fat but you might get confused) and came with rice. The rice noodles were a bit thin and on the cusp of becoming too soft.

Tea leaf salad was good too but not as good as at Rangoon Ruby. You have to mix it a lot or the clumps of tea will be too salty.

I feel a little snubbed that another reviewer got homemade chili sauce but we got a bottle of Huy Fong sriracha, lol.

Portions and prices are reasonable. Two of us polished off 4 dishes.

Shan noodles are apparently the dish to get at Burmese, according to Eater San Francisco, but I didn't notice they had it until later.

The menu has no prices and the bill apparently includes tax and doesn't charge any B.S. fees. We tipped well and paid cash because I couldn't trust Maps saying they take card and communication was a bit difficult.”

“One of the few fast food options with real vegetables available and all at a reasonable price. The new app brings some much appreciated discounts for repeat customers. This particular location can be fairly generous with portions but once in a while you will get one of the smaller servers who also thinks smaller portions of food is acceptable but I would disagree. Service is fast and almost never out of any of the main dishes or available mostly fresh in a few minutes of ordering. Thank you to all staff for providing good service at one of the few options for health concerned people.”

“We came in for a late lunch after checking into our hotel. The food came out fast, I think the owner was our waitress. Their gator sauce was to die for! We did fish and chips and two orders of calamari! I even told one of the neighbors in the hotel to go try it for their lunch today! Can’t wait to go back to visit!!”

“We recently ate here during our vacation in Pacifica. I actually heard of the restaurant from a tiktok video. We ordered the steak sandwhich and they were delicious!! The meat was so tender and juicy 🤤. I ordered mine with light onion and mayo and it was just perfect! It was a nice chill spit to grab lunch. I can't wait to be back in the area (I am from PA) and grab a bite again!!”
