“These sisters treat us like family when we come by for our weekend coffee fix! Not only are they incredibly kind, they're also very conscious of the ingredients they use in their foods. I recommend trying anything with their house granola; it's got whole cashews and pumpkin seeds that add a great crunch to their organic acai bowls. Oh! And their baba ganoush is the best in town ?
They're far enough from the beach that you can escape the hustle and bustle of the weekend crowd, but still within walking distance.“

“Me, my mom and kiddo saw this little corner mom n pop cafe and decided to go in. Usually I'm skeptical since a lot of Mom and pops are disappearing in the city or lost the soul in cooking a great meal. But this place didn't disappoint!! The food was awesome and the staff was very nice. We had to wait since it's small but it was so worth it ?. Had the corn beef'n'hash and you can taste the love they put into it. Thank you! My mom and kiddo enjoyed themselves and that's hard to come by!
Kid-friendliness: Very nice family spot to bring the kiddos after playing at the park.“

“It was good, I saw the reviews on here that said it’s the best burrito in Oakland so I had to stop by and get the OG
The burrito was good, it wasn’t as good as I wanted it to be though.
I also got the strawberry mint agua Fresca which was fire!
Definitely recommend that!“

“The egg tarts here are smooth, creamy, and reasonably priced! Coffee comes as a dark roast, strongly flavored if you're into that. My Chinese parents have much good to say about the fundamental baked goods, the egg tarts, pineapple buns, and cocktail buns.“

“My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner at Acova. The menu is very interesting and varied. My wife had fish and chips and I chose the beef short ribs. Both dishes were super. Our server was helpful and attentive. We appreciate the fairly low noise level so we could have a comfortable conversation. Thank you.“

“We had food, coffee, and dessert, and enjoyed it all. A nice selection of games, including some more basic games for free. A cozy wood vibe, with beautiful board game art featured on the walls. Their music was fun, too! Wish I could take this cafe to my city!“

“Soooo good, this place mainly has Egyptian food with some generic options as well.
The falafel is sooo tasty! Everything just works! Also, the presentation, it’s piece of art.
Coffee is also good. The vibe is very comfortable - good place to hang out and work a bit“

“Higher Grounds has become so special to me that I've celebrated two consecutive birthdays here simply to feel at home. The sole owner is also the server/cook/overall problem solver (he also owns two other businesses on the same block). This man is focused, a little introverted, and pushes out 10/10 crepes amazingly.Higher Grounds is a must-try if you have time around Daly City.“

“Ate here twice in 3 days, food is delicious but best word to describe it is actually "balanced". I ordered falafel plate and nepali chow mein w tofu. Both dishes were perfect portion and good mix of carb + vegetable so when you finish eating you actually feel quite balanced and refreshed, it was unexpected. Normally with noodle dish you might feel very heavy for example but this had perfect combo of noodles and variety of vegetables.
Owner Chandra is very kind, and vibe of place is completely chill. Loved it and thank you Chandra :)“

“Imagine driving through the city to a quiet neighborhood you've probably never been to just to have a cup of coffee with cannoli. Sounds a bit quirky, right?! But I guess it what makes it for a fun experience. Add a stroll across the block – and it could become a favorite weekday activity. We tried a Classic and Chocolate cannolis, both with pistachios. What can I say – it was good. The filling was rich and decadent, but not heavy which is a huge plus in my books. The shell was a bit hard to my liking, but it didn't stop me from finishing dessert ;)In the world of 'fancy' brunches, La Stazione is a good old friend you'd probably go to when you want to decompress from hustle and bustle of everyday life. Worth the drive and the calories.“

“Wow, Buddy is truly such a gem. If you ever want a delicious meal full of flavors and textures, you gotta go to Buddy!
We sat outside to enjoy the warm San Francisco weather. It was right on the sidewalk with no parklet, but it was fine.
Here’s what we ordered:
- Corn Fritters - pretty tasty, great crunch, while still moist. Pretty corny-tasting, but well-balanced with the creme fraiche and the saltiness of the smoked trout roe.
- Carrots - wonderful crunch and even more delicious seeds and tahini sauce. A must have!
- Smoked whitefish tonnato - strange flavors and texture at first, but it grew on me. Not sure if the crackers added much, but the dish by itself was a fun combo!
- Fried chicken sammy - perfect crunch (sensing a theme?) and wonderful flavor. The bread was buttery and garlicky, and the chicken was moist.
Our waitperson was super attentive and our food was perfectly spaced out time-wise - we had a small table, and they brought out just enough food at any one time to make sure we had room to eat. IMO, deserving of a Michelin!“

“We had to come back since the line was so long. The second time, the line was moving. We got a table and the food finally came maybe after 20 minutes. It was worth the wait. Presentation, freshness & flavor did not disappoint. My daughter & her husband live in SF. They took me out for lunch with her girlfriends“

“Good for a quick bite. I like the local feel of the place but it can get very crowded, especially on the weekends so I'm glad for the outdoor tables. I like to stop by when I'm going to hang out near Ocean Beach. The food is tasty!“

“Super glad this place survived the pandemic. The staff are friendly, the shop has a classic feel that’s missing in most places, and the food! - you’ll never leave hungry. “Straightforward corner cafe serving coffee, standard breakfast items, gourmet sandwiches and select Latin specialties (e.g. Argentine empanadas).
Chicken empanadas, though tasty, a bit pricey — coming out to $6 for a smallish pastry.
Set in historic Piccolo Pete’s, the menu is significantly more streamlined compared to the past. Nice mural and view of San Bruno Mountain in the background. Near-always sunny outdoor seating .“

“Located in the Ingleside neighborhood, Purtea offers a variety of tea drinks along with snacks to go with your drink. Upon entering the tea shop, patrons are greeted with a cute floral-themed interior. You can order via their kiosk or in-person with the cashier.
We decided to go with their classic milk tea and orange green tea. The classic milk tea was a true representation of milk tea, in which the sweetness and milk was not too overpowering and the tea in the drink still shined through. If you're read any of my reviews before, you know I love my fruit teas, and orange green tea is one of my absolute favorites. The orange green tea from Purtea does not disappoint and I would go back to order it again without a doubt. While I did not sample any of their appetizers and snacks this time around, I'll be sure to do so next time if I'm looking for a bite to eat.
If you're in the Ingleside - Ocean Avenue area and find yourself craving tea drinks or snacks, then Purtea is the pur-fect spot for you!“

“Cafe La Boheme is a Mission District institution . It long predates the Mission's gentrification and was serving "gourmet" coffee before it was a thing. It continues to have a great vibe, still serves great coffee and food, and is a great place to sit and think or work on laptop. The hummus plate is my favorite dish, but there are many other great choices. I am a decades-long customer, and I hope it never closes!
Dietary restrictions: They have several delicious cheese-free options .“

“I love this cafe. The team is outstanding despite some shortcomings. They truly make it up. For example: the place has no AC. It’s great most of the time unless it’s very hot, which has been the case lately. I haven’t met the owner yet. I would suggest changing their bread. The bread they use for the sandwiches just isn’t up to their standards. Overall, awesome coffee. Everyone on the team is just outstanding and patient. Keep up the great work!“

“As soon as we arrive, good music and a smile to serve us… the food??? Simply spectacular. You can see that there is love in their dishes and quality food. Misael attended to us and was, apart from being friendly, very helpful, a charm, I think that if you come to San Francisco this place is a mandatory stop. I ordered a bacon burrito with a spinach omelette and it was delicious.“

“Nice breakfast spot in Daly City with very kind staff.
Ordered a breakfast burrito for $6.50 and an iced coffee for $4.25. The coffee was good, but the burrito was unfortunately still cold in the middle. I don't think their panini press managed to heat it up all the way. The fillings inside the burrito were fresh and stuffed to the brim.
If they can fix their burrito, I'd highly recommend giving this place a try and trying some other stuff on their menu.“
“Wonderful neighborhood coffee shop! If Cheers was a coffee shop, then it’s where everybody knows your name and they are happy that you came. They offer superb coffees and tea - by the cup or in bulk! Sweet and savory treats abound and fun merchandise make this the ultimate daily stop!“

“Stopped in for coffee, a very kind gentleman agreed to sit with my 11.5 month old Golden Retriever outside. Nice woman behind counter said my dog was welcomed in, my dog doesn't have enough manners to go inside, yet!
Ordered an Americano, kind woman asked if I'd like an ice cube in coffee, as it was way too hot to drink. Glad she was thinking as it was perfect!! Still hot, love LOVE my HOT black coffee. Without the 1 ice cube, I would have to wait for caffeine consumption!
The other woman behind the counter was making a beautiful bowl.. not sure what it was but it looked delicious!!!! Going back this week to try !!!
The gentleman that sat with my dog volunteers with human society and he educated me on the correct walking leash for my dog and informed me of puppy classes!! Super grateful, as I just moved from Detroit!
Great restaurant to stumble upon! Highly recommend!“
