“What a treat!!! Absolutely delicious and perfectly made desserts. Wide selection, very friendly service and nice open space. Our party tried multiple desserts and loved every single one of them. The vanilla ice is soooooo good.

Reasonable prices too, with most desserts under $10 for a filling portion size.

“Cold crab legs, oysters and shrimps were good and fresh. Hot dishes were only so so. Prime ribs were ok but not impressive. Desert selections were good. Salad selections were only a few. No soup but only chilli. Fruit selections were limited but acceptable.
Service were acceptable. They were both helpful and friendly but quite forgetful on your requests.
Overall it is a positive dining experience. Will return for special occasions.“

“Love this place!! Randomly chose this place (good gôogle reviews and in the neighborhood) to meet a friend for a hot drink. Was a little noshy, Got tempted by the menu and ordered the breakfast burrito, friend ordered avocado toast. Food was super delicious and garnished nicely. Made friends w the enthusiastic and gregarious staff. Enjoyed everything about this place! all the small touches, the awesome art on the wall and the welcoming comfy atmosphere made it a great first impression. Thanks Chris and "Papa" for some scrumptious food, perfection in a Mexican cocoa, and for making us feel like we came to exactly the right place. 😃😉☺️... “Eating lunch here right now with the family on a weekend. The service is very friendly and speedy. The space is also very clean and open. The place is kind of tucked away in office buildings but there was still a good amount of people here on a weekend. The kids loved the pond area outside to run around and look at the ducks. The food is also very good. Lots of light and heartier options. We got masubis, loco moco and bibimbop bowls along with some drinks. We’ll definitely be back especially since the kids love it here.“

“I’m a huge fan of dirty chai lattes and I’m always searching for who has the best. The dirty chai at Antigua is definitely near the top of the list for me. Not too sweet and not too spicy which is the way I like them. Will def be back for the chai. Pastries were also delicious. Haven’t tried the food yet but looks like it would be amazing.“

“She is wonderful to work with. I have used her twice now. Once for a Mickey Mouse Twoodles cake and just recently for a baby shower. We got lemon for the cake and snickerdoodle for the cupcakes and when I tell you everyone loved them both. Her cakes are delicious and she does and amazing job with decorating them you send her a picture of what you want and she will not disappoint.“

“The Absolute Best Coffee in the Bay Area!My husband and I are total coffee seekers whenever we travel, and finding Kaizen & Coffee was the absolute highlight of our trip to San Mateo! It might be the smallest coffee shop we’ve ever visited, but it packs a massive punch. The modern black-and-white interior is incredibly clean and inviting, and the baristas are wonderfully friendly and helpful.We stayed for a week and literally came back 5 times—that’s how good it is! We tried three of their signatures: the Black Sesame Latte, Ube Latte, and Miso Caramel Latte. The Black Sesame was our absolute favorite, closely followed by the Miso Caramel. If you love perfectly balanced drinks, trust me: these are exceptionally delicious, never overly sweet, beautifully creamy, and topped with the thickest, perfect foam.The biggest selling point for us? Absolutely zero chemical syrups. They make all of their bases and syrups in-house, which is exactly what we look for in high-quality specialty coffee. “I stopped by Oklava in Palo Alto for tea and baklava, and it was a wonderful experience. The tea was fresh and flavorful, and the baklava was absolutely delicious—perfectly sweet, fresh, and authentic. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were very friendly. “Great food and super friendly staff. We tried avocado toast and mocha. Turned out that they messed up our mocha and gave us a latte. They were extremely busy on a long weekend so I didn’t bother to ask them to fix it. They would have definitely fixed my order but I was okay with a latte too!“

“Amazing neighborhood cafe. It's cozy, unassuming and well situated in a cute Plaza in midtown Palo Alto. The breakfast items are all delicious and well prepared, they roast their beans in house in a corner of the cafe and you may get lucky to be there while they do it, great aroma and a nice touch.

The place is run by a wonderful couple, they welcome their usual guests by name and treat the newcomers with much warmth and happiness. It is my happy place to go to go to start my day.“

It’s inside a corporate building, which honestly made the whole thing feel even more unexpected. “Cafe Central is a fantastic spot in Burlingame, and they offer a really wide selection of food, pastries, and coffee. Honestly, everything we’ve tried here has been great. The food is so good that it’s actually pretty hard to find a seat, even if you visit during off-peak hours! That clearly shows how popular and high-quality this place is, but you definitely have to be prepared to wait a bit for an open table. The owner/manager is wonderful and very friendly—we run into her pretty much every single time we stop by, and she always makes the experience feel welcoming. The staff behind the counter can be a bit hit-or-miss depending on the day, but in general, they're good. If you don't mind a little bit of a crowd, it's absolutely worth a visit for the great menu.“

“I went into Steve’s Cafe & Catering alone and honestly wasn’t even sure what to order at first. The staff immediately made the experience comfortable by asking thoughtful questions about what I liked and helping guide me toward the Parmesan chicken sandwich — which ended up being incredible.

It was fresh, flavorful, and so good that my girlfriend even ate vegetables she normally doesn’t enjoy. Beyond the food, the atmosphere felt welcoming and supportive, especially as a new customer. You can tell they genuinely care about helping people have a good experience, not just making a sale. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

By the way, the brownies made my girlfriends eyes roll hehehe, I highly recommend Steve's Cafe & Catering“

“Like most brunch places, it's overpriced. You don't get that much value, but it is a good brunch regardless. There is something very special about eating out with family in the morning at a nice place, not having to worry about cooking, even if you can easily make most of the things on the menu. Brothers Cafe offers just that. Atmosphere is good, though they could use some more decoration. Service is attentive. Overall, 4/5.“

“Finding Ceré Tea in Burlingame Avenue was a pleasant surprise. Many Matcha and Hojicha tea drinks; half the menu are einspanners and half are lattes. Plus there are other options: fruit & cream tornado drinks. I tried the matcha strawberry einspanner today. Yum! Over the weekend I had a fruit tornado mango. Double yummy!
Limited seating…too many people with laptops here on weekdays. Popular with Asian and non-Asian young people. The drinks are pricy though - keep this in mind as a splurge!“
