“A real locals only kind of place where the floor is permanently tacky, the bathroom has seen things that would legally qualify as maritime disasters, and there’s at least one sun-bleached guy named “Sharky” who hasn’t worn real shoes since 1998.
The decor is “nautical decay,” the IPA tastes faintly of salt and regret, and every surface looks like it survived both a hurricane and a beach boys metal tribute band.
There’s a surfboard on the ceiling signed by someone who might be famous, but no one’s sure.
Basically: if Poseidon had a DUI and opened a bar, that’s the vibe. I regret nothing“

“My son took me here for lunch - we’d been meaning to try it. We were very pleased - amazing view with tiered tables so other guests aren’t blocking the view. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious and nicely presented. As a nice addition, there was a pianist playing while we dined which added to the ambience. We will come back because it was such a nice treat. One of those places that makes me love living in California!“

“We came in for a late lunch after checking into our hotel. The food came out fast, I think the owner was our waitress. Their gator sauce was to die for! We did fish and chips and two orders of calamari! I even told one of the neighbors in the hotel to go try it for their lunch today! Can’t wait to go back to visit!!“

“Such a fantastic spot! I originally wanted to stop by The Rabbit Hole to try the beers on tap from Sugoi Brewing (which we're both fantastic by the way), but was blown away by the entire experience. The vibe, the staff, the food, and the prices all exceeded my expectations. We can't wait to come back and try some other dishes. Also, perfect date spot!“

“The Korner Store is a private event space now. I sent an inquiry in for a Saturday night booking, and received prompt response with a quote and some options. There's a minimum food and drink amount. I coordinated a walk through of the space and made a deposit!
The hosts and owners (Ina and Nick) are incredibly helpful throughout the booking and night of the event. My ~40 guests enjoyed the Korean food and full bar. We had a fantastic time in the private space. The venue has tv screens, music inputs, DJ and dance area, karaoke, and an optional photobooth. I highly recommend considering The Korner Store for your next event.“

“Happened to stop by here with my brother from out of town a few nights, was a slow night at the bar it seemed.
Was having quite a drab day but a quick drink whipped up by our bartender Louisa and some excellent jokes turned our day right around. The matcha drink was one of the best I’ve ever had, and I can honestly say I’d stop by again whenever I’m back just to try the drink again. Thanks Louisa“

“One of my favorites in SF! Food/wine list constantly changing with seasonal offerings. The team delivers excellent and efficient service as well. It's compact but not overly loud. Sitting at the bar next to the open kitchen is a great way to experience Buddy.“

“I threw a birthday party here and I was so pleased with how everything turned out. Debi, the owner is very professional and quick to respond to email and a pleasure to coordinate with. All of the staff were extremely friendly, from the bartenders, waitress and the doorman (who greeted all my guests!). The bar has a lot of seating and is very spacious with great decor. Food is also delicious, which my guests enjoyed. Highly recommend the quesasdillas. Thank you Debi and team for making my birthday so memorable. I recommend throwing your next event here.“

“The burger was really good. Got the HWC burger with waffle fries, the burger was really flavorful and juicy. Taste wise I had zero complaints.
Overall the meal was sort ok for the price in SF I guess. The burger itself was almost the size of a whopper jr but with more meat. The quality of the burger is great but the size is a bit disappointing. Waffle fries were standard, nothing super amazing nor bad.
If I could just buy 2 burgers for the price of the burger & fries I'd be more than happy. That said, even with the but of criticism I'd go back again no hesitation.“

“Needed a break from the terminal chaos, so my travel companion and I sat down at Tapas and Taps for a quick bite. We decided to share a bottle of wine and an order of buffalo wings.
The food was great. The wings came out hot, fresh, and had a fantastic kick to them—definitely hit the spot. It was a nice, civilized way to spend an hour before boarding.
The only reason I’m not giving a perfect score is the service. Our server was incredibly nice, but she seemed to have about ten things on her mind at once. She kept coming back to our table before we were ready, practically hovering while we tried to decide on the wine, and seemed eager to rush us through the process. It wasn't rude, just very distracted. A little patience goes a long way, and I wish we hadn't felt so hurried. Great food, just hope the service is a bit more relaxed next time.“

“I’m Thai and my family was in the restaurant business so I know Thai food. Our group of over 10 people dined here today. Food was great. It was a team event so we requested a prix fixe menu and budget control. The restaurant was very responsive and go above and beyond to help us with the arrangements. The menu options was good. We had some vegans in the group and vegan options were good too. Everyone in my team loved it. Thank you for a wonderful evening!“
“Stopped in to Newell's for a pre dinner drink. We just kind of stumbled on this place. How does one know where to get a good cocktail when you're an out of towner!?
Well let me tell you about Newell's.. The bartender was fabulous! She wasn't even sure what a certain drink was but she more than nailed it! It was right on! My Cadillac margarita was potent! I managed to wobble out of there to my next destination.. but barely! They do not serve food but our sweet bartender brought popcorn in order to save me embarrassment! It was a fun experience and I think I may have to return!“

I took a picture of the ingredients and made it at home †that's how good it was. Definitely coming back. The customer service was outstanding. “I ate there last week for the first time in several years. The menu is large and many different styles of food. I had the Prime Rib and it was EXCELLENT. There was 2 others in my party and they were equally impressed. Another benefit is that there are no parking problems. I will definitely eat there again.“

“We had dinner here after work event. We were the only ones in the restaurant, but it was early. The food was fantastic, the presentation was excellent, and the employees were very kind. I would definitely go here again, I had the ceviche it was superior. I also had a mango drink which was delicious. Parking can be a little tricky but we lucked out and pulled in right as somebody pulled out and were able to park right in front of the restaurant.“

“Cute spot for a night cap. It’s a pretty small spot so expect some intimate vibes which was ideal for a date with my man. I got a mezcal margarita and he got the fade into you, we both were trying not to finish our drinks fast because of how delicious they were. It is a craft cocktail bar so expect to pay about $50+ for two drinks. It’s worth it though! I definitely recommend it though. Bartenders were very friendly too.“
“Pretty cool place. Met a friend who was flying out of SFO - quite convenient for that. Easy parking and Uber service. Very quiet at 10am just the coffee shop open but all the seating areas and the patio were open so a great spot for that - much quieter than Starbucks.“

“We had a fantastic experience at the 37 North this past Sunday at noon. Our party of eight was the only group seated, yet the service felt intentional, warm, and well-coordinated. Jun, the supervisor, was gracious and attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly and checking in thoughtfully through me as the host. Michael, our waiter, was exceptional—highly perceptive and engaging, with a natural ability to read the table, and he shared his experience-based recommendations from a diverse and well-curated menu. The food options were current, comfortable, and well-priced, with great flexibility for sharing or enjoying appetizers as entrées. The dining room is modern and comfortable, and the large square table was ideal for our group. Parking validation (with complimentary warm cookies at the concierge desk) was a delightful and unexpected touch. Overall, 37 North was a refreshing, high-value alternative to other Burlingame options—thoughtful service, great atmosphere, and a genuinely enjoyable experience. We'll be back.“

“A good meal with excellent service, however unlike other tasting menus there wasn't too much explanation of the dishes when they were presented. Also the space was cavernous which is fine, and we were at a booth, but since it wasn't crowded it seems to lack the intimacy I was looking for. More of a place to be seen vibe.“

“Fun surfer punk dive bar with cheap drinks and outdoor patio, complete with surfboards. Free popcorn and occasional handcrafted wood oven Italian pizza for sale outside. Surprisingly, many big names have played at this tiny beach venue, like The Mummies & Supersuckers! This place continues to create new memories for me each time!“
