A real locals only kind of place where the floor is permanently tacky, the bathroom has seen things that would legally qualify as maritime disasters, and there’s at least one sun-bleached guy named “Sharky” who hasn’t worn real shoes since 1998.
The decor is “nautical decay,” the IPA tastes faintly of salt and regret, and every surface looks like it survived both a hurricane and a beach boys metal tribute band.

Awesome dive bar with fantastic bartenders and good local vibe. Cash only with great prices. The owners are some of the best people you’ll get a chance to he around. 10/10 recommend.
Found this gem on a random Wednesday waiting to drop off my. Bestie at the airport after flight was delayed. Highly recommend this place!! Cheap, STRONG drinks. If you are not a professional do not attempt this maneuver without a designated driver!!! Outstanding specialty cocktail menu. Everyone was super friendly. If you order a bourbon or shot on the rocks, be prepared for a large serving that will easily last a while. With prices around $20, it's a great deal. The bar has a relaxed, dive atmosphere that celebrates its dive barness, making it unique and special. It is the only of its kind in Pacifica. The place is dark and bright, loud yet peaceful, with no bands or pool—just a bar. It has plenty of seating inside and a larger patio outside that allows dogs on leash. The bar features multiple TVs inside and out, perfect for watching your favorite sports team like the Niners. Customers praise the super friendly service and good selection of drinks, including the best Old Fashioned in town. The cash-only policy adds to its authentic vibe, but there’s an ATM inside and nearby banks for convenience. Overall, Surf Lounge is a cool, underrated place to hang out near the beach, offering affordable beers and seltzers, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy.
