“We ate at La Viga Seafood & Cocina Mexicana. It was nice. I thought it would be a bit fancier because I saw it recommended somewhere. The seafood dish with different kinds was really good, especially the shrimp. The tacos cost $6 each, which seemed a lot, but they tasted great. The chips were the best part—they were not greasy and very crunchy. They gave us two kinds of sauce; the green one was the best. The cold beer was also really good with the food. Even though I expected something a bit different, we liked it a lot and want to go back to try more dishes.“

I asked about gluten free options since the menu was not marked, and he took me through the menu to explain what could and could not be safely prepared without cross contamination. Unfortunately, not many safe options! There are very few gluten-containing items, but they spoil most of the menu for me due to a shared fryer - so no homemade tortilla chips for me! The cocktails were great, the atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff were friendly. “One of the best places for outdoor brunch on the peninsula. Their champagne mimosas are good with generous portions. I wish they offered more for vegetarians with some Beyond burger or Impossible meat-based dishes. I do really miss their scones which they stopped serving some years ago. They were just such a delight and they are sadly missed.“
“Extreme friendly neighborhood bar. People here are modest and very friendly. The first day they paid for my beer, the second time they invited me to play a pool. “Nighthawk is one of the few great cocktail bars in the peninsula. Whether you're looking for a delicious cocktail after work or a fun night life scene on the weekend, they never seem to disappoint. The bartenders are engaging and willing to create cocktails acquired to your taste buds. The Koky's old fashion Randy made me was fantastic!“
“We were assigned a table in the quiet back room, as requested; the wait staff was excellent; and our brunch choices were delicious. My only adverse comment is that the background music was too loud. All told, however, we thank you for a very pleasant experience.“
“We found this place roughly a month ago, and the owner and head chef named Josh is arguably one of the best steps I've ever met, I come from chefs background used to be a corporate chef years ago, and the food and quality of service at this location is arguably the best I've ever dealt with, including French laundry. I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody who is interested in an outstanding service, outstanding food and outstanding ambience. We will definitely continue to go back to this location as many times as we can.“
