“Stopped by this spot in Pacifica today, tucked away in the Linda Mar area, and I’m really glad I did. The service from David was great, the food was absolutely delicious, and the whole place felt super cozy. It didn’t feel pretentious at all, just an old-school family-owned spot that’s perfect for gloomy weather when you’re craving pasta and garlic bread.

I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and shrimp, and it was so good. The portion was incredibly generous, everything tasted fresh, and the garlic bread that comes with the pasta is HUGE. We also ordered the cheesy garlic bread on the side, and honestly, it was amazing dipped in the marinara sauce.

I’d definitely come back and bring more family members with me next time. It’s such a chill little hole-in-the-wall spot. It was surprisingly empty when we went, I think we were the only people there on a Friday night, which honestly made me sad because everything about the experience was great, and they already have really solid reviews.

There’s plenty of parking too. Please support family-owned small businesses like this. I’m so tired of overpriced, overly precious restaurants when places like this exist - great food, great prices, and genuinely good people.“

The crust was especially good—crisp on the outside without being too hard, and soft in the middle. The staff were friendly, and the food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. “These photos are from two separate visits. Vega is amazing! Very much a family atmosphere, the staff is amazing and so friendly. Their wine selection is also great and they can help you choose a wine to pair with dinner. I believe the owner or someone owns a wine store down the street so it makes sense. Menu is small for a reason, all of the options are great but the arugula salad and the gnocchi are so delicious. This place is a hidden gem.“

“I recently moved to Portland from the Mission (where I lived around the corner from Arizmendi for its entire existence), and for all of Portland's strengths, no bakery here can rival Arizmendi's sourdough. But truthfully, few bakeries anywhere in the world do, and none exceeds it. That Arizmendi is genuinely worker owned makes it that much yummier. I miss it!“

“We’ve always been thin crust pizza fans, have never tasted authentic NY style pizza, though we have had Napoli-style pizza several times in Rome, and we gotta say, the crust here is AMAZING!! The only slight change that I think would make it taste even better is if there was a bit more salt in the dough. Other than that, the bottom of the pizza was crisp, and the crust was airy and crisp with a slight chew. The crust was so delicious that we saved all our uneaten crusts to bring home for later, could not bear to throw them away (unlike other, more bready crusts). 😆 The pepperoni pizza was our favorite (so flavorful), with the sausage being a close second. The margherita was nice with the fresh basil, but could have used a sprinkling of salt. Our younger son really wanted to try the corn pizza, but we could only manage to finish 3 pizzas with our family of 7, so he has already declared that this will be his pick for his birthday meal, and that he will be getting the corn pizza. 😆 Wish it were closer to us (we live around 30 mins away), but it is not too far for special occasions! From where we live, comparatively, Mountain Mike’s and Porky’s Pizza Palace would be rated 2 or 3 out of 10 and Spinning Dough would be 9/10! Would totally buy it frozen if they offered that, it is that good! Was also a treat for the kids to watch the owner (who is super, super nice!) toss the dough and assemble the pizzas. Friendly staff, wine and beer, tonight there was live music on the patio area. Max the owner is a wonderful host who is very active in the San Bruno community. Atlas is bringing good times back to down town San Bruno. Make it one of your first post pandemic stops!“

“Locals love this pizza shop in the mission. Quick and easy for eating in and to-go. There’s a little room to eat inside but most take it out. $7 for a slice of cheese surprised me until I saw the slice. It was made to order so I waited a bit but worth it. The slice was basically two slices inside. They sure do load up the plate. Sturdy slice, great for an energy booster. If you’re not too hungry, you could even share each slice.“

“1st time in San Francisco - just got off the plane and was hungry! Of all the options at 9:50am, pizza was the last thought on our mind. After browsing pizza options at Tony’s Pizza and inquiring with Chef Giove, I selected Hot Honey and my sister, pepperoni. We were both pleased!! While the pizza was good, it was the exceptional over accommodating personality from Chef Giove to answer our questions is what sealed the service for us! A kind smile, brief interaction with a conversation are the basics for me!! Customer service still matters!! Kudos to Chef and staff.“
