“Luigi's is a great family friendly Italian joint. The food is alright, I've had the veggie lasagna, and it was ok. Their spaghetti and meatballs are pretty good as well. The rice balls or Arancinis are quite nice. Luigi still hangs out and greets guests, it brings a nice Italian feel to the place.“
“Delicious food. Chef was from another favorite of ours, Paisano'sFresh ingredients, good winesI wish the ambiance was a little better. Their sign and menus had significant typos , the paint colors and TV added a dreariness. All easily fixable, with cozy lighting , fewer tables, typos fixed, a be better sign / banner“
“Located in the back of San Pedro Valley in a local's shopping center. Plenty of parking. Has about 15 4-person tables. A few more outside. TV over fireplace. Menu is Italian and pizza. Seven beers on tap. I went with Da Godfather. No complaints in freshness and quality of the pizza“
“hands down the best deli sandwiches in the peninsula!! the pastrami is superior! homemade bread second to none. roasted turkey is actually from a real bird (I don't even like turkey sandwiches bc the meat is always pressed turkey bits, but not here)...“
“Great Italian restaurant right next to the ocean! Walked in n was serviced to straight away. Pizza is a winner. Got to try their bruschetta. I also love the meatballs n cheesy garlic bread. Heaven!! The dining area is a little small but comfy. I mostly order to go n sit by the ocean n watch the sunset ?“
“Stopped by Iteia for a nice dinner, the tuna tartar and the salad were lovely, both very fresh and light, and good portions (especially the salad). My husband had the sardines pasta, that's not very photogenic but was very good. I had the beef cheek pasta that was also great, but somewhat heavy. To finish the meal we got a boudino with salted whipped cream, that was great and could feed about 3 people. Delicious!“
“The food here was fantastic; everything was delicious. We also ordered the Pezza de Angioni a sa Saba (Seared Lamb Tenderloin Tagliata Sardinian Saba), and one of the specials for the day, which was a pasta with a tomato-based beef and mushroom sauce. Our plates were clean. The bread for the table was perfect for picking up any leftover sauce. We got there right as it opened, and the restaurant filled up as the time went by; the volume in the place slowly increased as we dined there. The service was decent, and our water glasses were filled on a consistent basis. I'm not sure if they added specials for the day as the night went on, but other tables seemed to be told about more than the two specials that we heard when we arrived. I would definitely return at least once more if I am back in the city, as I would like to try the Pasta Cruzza cun Arrizonis (Artisanal Fusilli Sea Urchin Tomato Cured Tuna).“
“It was a delight to be invited here for dinner. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service was fantastic and food was unique and high quality.I was thrilled to learn that the flour comes from Italy so my gluten intolerances can be managed with imported flour - what a treat! The liver mousse was an interesting and unique starter and the linguine limone with crab was a solid dish.“
“I love Joe's, been going here since I was a kid. It's not the same though, food was alot better before the new ownership, however the food is still good but not great like it used to be.Parking: It's just a busy restaurant, hard to find parking when it busy and that's almost all the time.“
“This is my favorite San Francisco pizza. The crust is so uniquely SF, think inspired by Napoli dough but with a streak of SF sourdough culture. The crust is well hydrated, chewy, and charred. The toppings are inspired by classics and enhanced by fresh local ingredients. I more than willingly pay the $2 for a side of their homemade ranch that is freshly zested with lemon and dill— a beautiful contrast the cheese and richness of the pizza. All around, my favorite pizza place in town.My only thing is that I can’t bring my dog, as there’s no outside space, so I get it and it’s not a point off of my assessment. Otherwise, family friendly and chill industrial vibe. I’m into it.“
“We hosted a holiday party for 325 people and hired Esposto's to cater the buffet dinner as well as provide tables and linens. They absolutely knocked it out of the park! From the beginning communications to the culmination of a spectacular event, the entire team was amazing to work with. The Esposto's team was wonderful to work with, so responsive and so organized. I am so grateful! The catering team who came to support our event the night of was nothing short of amazing. They were on top of everything working like a well oiled machine. The food was absolutely spectacular and plentiful! I would highly recommend them for your catering needs. We will definitely be using them again!“
“Holy cannoli! Came here twice in a week because it's that good. First time we dined in and had table service for three of us. The staff immediately greeted us with recommendations of the menu for food and drink. We started off with some cocktails- the Stemware at Dolores Martini, and a new addition which was basically a white Negroni. They were delish. For starters we ordered the focaccia bread and the fried mozzarella Carozza with a house made marinara. Both were an amazing way to start a meal. We shared the Bolognese and Gnocchi Carbonara with duck. Both packed with flavor. The Bologense tasted like I was at someone's house in Italy. We ended with the pistachio cannolis. The mascarpone was so soft and it wasn't too sweet. A perfect balance. It was so good I didn't even have time to take a picture. The second time we came we sat at the bar. It was a cool vibe to chat with the bartenders and watch the warriors game. The.l bar program should not be overlooked. We ordered the Lost Boy and the C is for Cookie. Both were delicious. I've never had a Manhattan with anise and Prosecco, but it worked. We again got the focaccia, this time with whipped ricotta and mortadella. It was amazing. We also used the bread to dip in the leftover sauce of the chilled artichoke. We shared the fried chicken and polenta as our entree. The polenta might be the best I ever had. The chicken was awesome, too. Perfectly crispy and juicy, and smothered with Calabrian chilis. Great flavor, not too spicy. We ended with that tiramisu, and once again might be the best I've had. The cake was moist and had the perfect balance of sweetness. I'll be back until I go through the whole menu. I'm looking forward to seeing this place evolves a great addition to the neighborhood!“
“Came here with my family for the first time trip try this place out. Called ahead and they don't take reservations. There is a public parking lot just a couple hundred feet to the left of the restaurant. Parking is only free on Sundays. We went on a Sunday night for dinner and the place was almost full. I tried their mushroom soup which was thick and had a strong mushroom flavor that was really flavorful, creamy and not salty. Their cup is really a bowl. Very generous serving. I ordered their mushroom ravioli with truffle sauce. The ravioli was all dente and the mushroom truffle sauce was very good. We also ordered their bruschetta which had several different variations. Probably the best bruschetta that I have tried. With so many people in the restaurant, it was quite loud. And having a conversation with your party you will need to raise you voice to be heard. Most entrees were in the $20-$27 range. This is definitely a family friendly place. It would be difficult to conduct a business meeting here during dinner. The place is clean and has a simple decor. Overall I would recommend you try this place.“
“The best local neighborhood spot - we adore Little Original Joe's! We order pizza from here often or drop in for some snacks, soft serve, etc - there's a ton of house-made items as well as other well curated marketplace selections. We love tricolore, pb&a, and Italian job - but also make custom pizzas oftenThey can get busy often during peak hours, even for weekdays so just call ahead for a pick up! Staff is great“
“You can't go wrong with Teanis! In my honest opinion these sandwiches are far much better than little Luca. The service is always quick but thoughtful. Although they are always busy I receive my food in a timely manner. I also enjoy that this is a small business & the home feeling the shop's decor brings. These sandwiches are ginormous and one sandwich can easily feed 2-3 people. I always have two meals out of one sandwich.“
“Went to Luisa’s for the first time last week with my husband. We had a GREAT experience. The food was really good, definitely the Italian vibe we were looking for. My husband had the lasagna while I had the dish of the day: eggplant parmigiana. 10/10!The tiramisu was the perfect amount of sweetness but also not heavy. The service was amazing.Definitely recommend and going back more times!“
“Service by the kind Berna was great - pizza came just as we were ready.Over the couple of years since opening, the tomato sauce has greatly improved and is now totally delicious. The dough is still not quite there, but getting there. The best pizzas I’ve had were juicy inside and crispy at the bottom, and here it’s kinda averaged out throughout the dough. But still tasty. What we absolutely loved was the quiet music and peaceful atmosphere. Coming from the noisy Oceanauts, we could finally relax our souls.Kid-friendliness: Staff is kind to children, occasionally giving a tour of the kitchen“
“For me, San Mateo has always been a town I drive past while on my way to some other place. My pal Rossmoore Straightshaft had just moved his production facility from Santa Monica to San Mateo to be closer to his customer base. He promises me the best Italian sandwiches in the country from the Roma Deli for my help setting up his Plattromitor machine so he can get busy making those Wallydoodles and Wacknutters.I'll tell you....nothing beats a good old fashioned Italian submarine sandwich, and the Rona Deli makes about the best out there. ☆☆☆☆☆“
“My friend said I had to try it cuz I liked the Mona Lisa down on Columbus, she was not wrong. This is an AMAZING little hole-in-the-wall place that is a tiny little gem amongst this city. I'm home and sooo STUFFED ❤️ ? ? ? ? ? (don't forget dessert...we had the cream puffs in chocolate sauce ?)“
“Bartender’s pizza - best pizza i’ve had in the states by far. Pizza is surprisingly light, deep in flavor, and food comes out relatively fast.I also loved loved loved the lasagna as it was also light and flavorful (I normally HATE lasagna due to its greasiness but this place changed my mind completely). Would definitely come back for the lasagna and a different pizza:)“
“It had been about a year since we came to this spot to eat and they have not skipped a beat! From the fresh bread to start and ending with Tiramisu you leave with a full stomach and a huge smile. Even the kids enjoyed their pasta!Bread: hot and fresh out the oven you just can’t resist. Great for getting the extra sauce.Prosciutto w/ Cantaloupe: second time having this dish and it was better than the first. The cantaloupe pairs great with the prosciutto.Lasagna: Rich and Meaty with a cheese pull down to the last bite. Just the perfect size portion.Gamberi: Let’s start with the shrimp on this dish!JUMBO SHRIMP and lots of them. The flavor of this dish was very authentic with the spices and portion size is perfect as well.Tiramisu: big enough to share, very moist and one of the best out there.Parking: Parking at night was easy but I could imagine if you went during the afternoon it could be a task. Plenty of paid parking on the street.Kid-friendliness: We had kids with us and they loved the pasta. Depending on their appetite I would suggest a side of pasta instead of a full portion.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible for sure , I would suggest to always call ahead if you can to guarantee comfort.“
“Were in San Bruno for a night transit before flying home. What a surprise to find this so nice restaurant! Food was excellent, the service very cordial and nice atmosphere with tablecloths, nice wine glasses etc...Very good price/qualité. I highly recommend it ?“
“Very quaint spot in a great location! We were taking some friends to the airport and wanted one last hurrah before sending them off. This was a wonderful spot for a celebratory meal. I loved the authentic feel of everything from the waiters and staff to the wine list and menu listings. I will definitely seek this place out when I'm back in the area, I enjoyed this find entirely!“
“The Hall of Flame of sandwiches in San Francisco. These are the GOATs. My favorite pastrami in the city. They are THOSE GUYS. Any sandwich will do. Add some jalapeños and some extra sauce on the side. ? If the bread ain’t slicing my mouth up:?️ION WANT IT“
“I had a great experience hereThe pizza is amazing, I tried the Mushrooms and the Sunset Aloha oneAs a drink I got a California Cider and uff. Can't recommend it more! They also have live entertainment, and it was amazingI was lucky enough to see the beach and the moon at the same time, all in one locationKeep it up with the amazing workThanks !“
“The Boscaiola was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in the Bay, maybe top 5 for meThe gnocchi was the perfect texture and give, with a fresh richness to the sauce of white truffle oil and porcini. the sausage brought out a hearty, crunchy fatness to it all that had me kissing my fingers chef style !What a wonderful time here all around. The owner, Vega, was there, and she was so welcoming, generous and fun to talk to! As well as our amazing waitress Julia. We also had the canneli and calamari, I’m a bit more of a softer bean sort of gal but the calamari was perfectly seared and lightly seasoned with a powerful punch. My friend’s dishes, the veal cutlet/mashed potatoes + the zucchini rigatoni were delish dishes as well that they ate up in a split second. Great dishes. BUT I truly was blown away by the Boscaiola, highly recommend. The bread was fresh and wheaty in a cottage core classic style. paired so well with everything, including the beets and burrata. The burrata when eaten at same time as beets was perfect, burrata by itself was great but could have used more seasoning.ALSO! Divine Wine Wednesdays = HALF OFF the bottle of wine, amazing deal“
“Old school italian spot frequented by locals and tourists alike. Great fresh pasta and seafood dishes. Would recommend getting a glass of wine on a sunny afternoon and enjoy the seaside view! The salmon carpaccio to share and seafood pasta. Loved the seared salmon. Would return to try their meatballs!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu“
“Really good food and good price. We ordered a pasta with chicken and Margarita pizza added with prosciutto, yummy.Service was great, Patrick the server.Only observation is the props (plastic grapes, and flowers) on the sealing and in the side of the table, need urgently to be replaced or cleaned, you can see the dust, terrible.Atmosphere is great.Good music like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin…Parking sometimes is not easy to find, it’s free street parking.Pizza is around 17$ to 27$.Pasta is around 20$;Glass of wine 8$;Beers 7$;Brusqueta 9$;We spend 100$ with tips for a portion of busqueta 6, pasta, XL large pizza, glass of wine, apple juice, soda.“
“There are few foods I enjoy more than a fresh deli sandwich, and I was quite pleased with the sandwiches at Cafe Stellato! Cafe Stellato is a very cute cafe that greets you with a display of fantastic looking gelato (which I will be trying next time I come in!). But there are also a plethora of sandwich options available to those who make their way in toward the back of the cafe. I ordered the Stellato Special with the works, and my partner ordered the Alpino. The combination of turkey, artichoke, and sun dried tomatoes were delicious, and the ingredients all tasted very fresh. When asked, I opted for the spicy calabrese spread, though I was slightly disappointed that there was no real spice to it. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the Alpino as well, and commented multiple times on how tasty the pancetta (Italian bacon) was!Our order was taken very quickly, and the sandwiches were prepared nice and quickly. Everyone working there was friendly and efficient.I will definitely be coming back to eat my way through more of their sandwich menu. And next time, I think I'll be topping it off with some of that great looking gelato!“
“Had a really enjoyable meal here. My favorite bread dipping sauce is here, and it's their olive pesto dip. It's garlicky and yummy. We got the gnocchi with Gorgonzola, Moroccan chicken, short ribs, and a salad. Satisfying meal with good flavors. It's a neighborhood gem that likely has regulars. The service with Ford was awesome and super welcoming.“
“It is a good little neighborhood restaurant. It is never full and should be easy to get a table. The food and wine are nice. I liked the NY stake and sangowesy wine. The only gentleman working the tables is very nice and friendly. However, it is not easy to do everything by one person, so the service may be a little slow. Not too bad though.“
“The hostess was rude. She was not prepared to open and made us wait outside in the cold and rain because it was time to open and she had not set up the entrance way properly. She was totally dismissive to us when we asked if we could enter after your open time. On a high note, the food was delicious. It is a bit pricey but the quality of the food is good.“
“Funky, old school bar with a great aesthetic and a jukebox. Julie makes a mean manhattan. The food is classic no-frills Italian, really hits the spot and the portions are enormous- great value. Staff is friendly and so are the regulars. I’ll certainly be back!“
“Italian cuisine was excellent with many options, especially pasta. Unfortunately we came when there was 3 very large loud parties which I thought was unusual for a Monday night. You kind of stop talking at your table and try to ignore the noise. Definitely not for a romantic of business meeting dinner.“
“Great italian restaurant with a cute ambiance & staff! Came here for a Friday dinner. The wait was quite long, but thankfully, they do an online queue that you can join prior to arriving. We got the prosciutto pizza, the rigatoni with pink sauce, and calamari to share. Because we let them know we were sharing everything, they brought out the pasta already split into 3 dishes, which I thought was very considerate of them.I’d give the calamari a 7.5-8 — a solid dish, but could’ve been bigger in portion size. The pasta was an 8.5, quite delicious with a flavourful sauce (reminiscent of vodka sauce) and chewy pasta. The pizza is a 7.5 for me—I thought it could be more flavourful. The dough is on the chewier side than thin.Overall, a solid dinner restaurant that I would recommend!“
“Rocca delivered the perfect romantic dinner for two in a half-round booth. From the divine Gnocchi with Pesto Cream to the generous Ravioli Bolognese, every bite was a delight. And let's not forget the indulgent Chocolate Mousse for dessert. Impeccable service, a cocktail menu to suit both our tastes, and an atmosphere that set the scene for a memorable evening.“
“Haystack is family oriented with friendly staff and my favorite pizza of all time.Been coming here for 20 years now and will continue to come.My favorites are:Deep fried ravioliGreek salad Chicken wingsAnd for pizza we always order a 1/2 haystack and 1/2 Alexander.Yum!“
“Bravo pizza is honestly a class apart!! Their authentic food is super yum and Jimmy's hospitality is unmatched!!Be it pasta, or pizza, just everything on the menu is super delicious! However, if you are looking for the BEST slice in the city.. They have it! Top notch taste and the ranch they serve with it is just *chef's kiss*. Yes, HIGHLY recommend the ranch here!!Keep this place bustling, they deserve it!! Skip the fast food joints nearby and head to Bravo Pizza!“
“Ordered the Raider sandwich, everything about it was delicious. The chicken was juicy, the produce was super fresh and the tomatoes were a rich red and super flavorful. The garlic sauce was soooo good. Service was great as well, and everyone was really friendly and kind. I was having a rough afternoon and having my lunch here turned my day around completely.“
“Dinner was delish. This place never disappoints. I love the spinach salad with the grilled eggplant and the seafood risotto with wine sane was perfectly cooked. I can't wait to go back! Oh and the warm baked bread that arrives to the table for free is anitger added touch. La Collins is a neighborhood GEM!“
“Wow I don't think I've been satisfied with dining out since Rome's Kitchen. His BBQ Hot Link Sandwich I ordered was delicious and one of a kind. Definitely will be returning and highly recommend everyone to give it a try. Rome Kitchen's made me feel like I was in my own mothers kitchen with his hospitality, cooking skills, and service he provided.“
“The service was great and I loved that he knew the menu up and down and was able to help us make a decision based on asking us questions. The food was just as good as the service. My mom had the salmon in a lemon sauce and she said that it was the best salmon she had ever had. I had the flank steak and it was cooked perfectly. The veggies are flavorful and not over cooked, and the mashed potatoes were fluffy and flavorful.I hadn't been here since before COVID and I forgot how good Spiazzo is. You can't beat this place even at a much higher price point.“
“This is a great place. I would like to give it 4.5 stars. The food is very good, nice variety of wines and a decent cocktail menu. This restaurant moved from a smaller location but they did a great job with decor and keeping service standards high. It's a little pricey but a reliable north Italian restaurant for a good meal and sharing with Friends and family“
“Fantastic experience at Andiamo In Banca! Best Italian cuisine with a nostalgic flair! I ordered the calamari Fritter deep fried calamari served with spicy tomato sauce, Linguine with clams linguine pasta with fresh manila clams in a light spicy garlic white wine sauce and House cured swordfish served with caper dressing and for the final cuisine grilled baby rack of lamb, topped with garlic rosemary and balsamic vinaigrette. Now that's Amore! Romantic atmosphere and good selection of wine and dessert. Highly recommend visiting! Buono appetit!????????????“
“Best pizza in the bay, if you know you know.I've eaten Totos my whole life. I'm 40. Won't stop won't quit. BEST PIZZA IN THE BAY!Parking: Parking is decent for it's location.Kid-friendliness: Good family restaurant, good memories.“
“Judy benson was the best person I ever met her brother and sister same as always considering her and I love you so much I can’t believe I have never found her and siblings ever again with this , cousin I felt regard for her parents as well a place I picture like this a work place of human emotion that fits your needs such as where is my love with friends cared“
“Stayed at 1550 hotel across street and got a to go order of wings & Greek salad. Walked over early and food was ready but wish I ate in. Place had a good vibe and was comfortable with a nice bar to sit at. Saw a pizza come out of the oven that looked amazing-great looking crust!!! Our Zorba wings were hit & fresh with a tasty sauce. If I’m in this area I’m coming back.“
“Overall I loved the vegetarian options. For starters I recommend the burrata. I tried the sauteed padron peppers too, they were good but the spiciness of the peppers varied a lot so the taste wasn't uniform. For pies, I tried the mushroom, Ms figgy (requested without meat), atomica and 4 cheese. I found Ms figgy distinct in that it is sweet in taste and has fig on a pizza but I actually liked it. The mushroom was my next favourite. For dessert, I recommend the tiramisu.Vegetarian options: Multiple appetizers and pies that are vegetarian friendly“
“1st time I went, I had seen the price on their online menu. When they rang it up, they upped the price. OK, I told em and accepted they did not set up their website and I learned not to use that pricing.Their Linguine with Clams and pear salad have brought me back a few time. The best Linguine and Clams anywhere.Pacifica is not loaded with good restaurants. Staff is nice, food comes quick and is great for either dine in, or take out.“
