“I went to Pronto Pizza with a friend on my birthday. I was telling her how good the ling cod fish and chips are there. So we drove down and was greeted by a kind and courteous employee. After ordering at the register and finding seating, food came out pretty fast. The Ling cod (4 pieces) was cooked too perfection, moist inside with a crispy outside, and the large cut fries were awesome and tasty! They have this house tartar sauce that is so good! A meal for two is around $45, with soda included. Also, their pizza is excellent, and they have many other items on their menu. I highly recommend Pronto Pizza!“

“The best deep dish ever! This restaurant has moved around in recent years, and its current iteration concentrates on the pizza: excellent pizza. There are a total of 4-5 tables (including the two outside). Takeout is the way to go. Our favorite flavor: Sears Tower.

Kid-friendliness: We brought a toddler and an infant and loved the low-key atmosphere of the restaurant, it felt very kid-friendly to us! They had high chairs too, and of course, our toddler loved the pasta and the bread with dip!!“

“We dropped in for dinner, and had a wonderful time! The staff were polite and attentive, and the restaurant itself was comfortable and welcoming.

The amount of gluten free options was WELL above what you'd expect from an Italian restaurant, with all pastas and some of the other main dishes being available. My husband and I both got the day's special, an oxtail ragu pasta. Mine was gluten free, his was not, and we both loved it! Dessert was just as well made - the creme brulee and cheesecake were both flavorful without being overly sugary. That can be a tough order for a dish that has a caramelized sugar crust!

We've both agreed that we'll be coming back as soon as we want some Italian food. I'm already looking forward to trying more of the menu.

“A really wonderful, romantic oasis in downtown Burlingame. All the food we ordered here was delicious. The Italian sausage lasagna was my highlight. The pomegranate and arugula salad was also wonderful. The Bolognese lasagna was solid but not as standout. The complimentary focaccia bread at the beginning was just so-so.

“This is the best food I've had on the Peninsula, hands down. Besides SF, you will struggle to find better pasta in the area. Staff are lovely, menu is seasonal, atmosphere is classy. “Was here on a Friday night for dinner - there was a wait even with a reservation but the staff was nice enough the people in line free wine and a seat at the bar. We were seated shortly after and went with the ribs and paella - both were good and portion was hearty. Food took a while to be prepared. Busy and tables were pretty close to each other. The food is good, with a variety of offerings; I get the sandwiches/paninis. The best part is the sitting outside, where they offer umbrellas. The service is super friendly. There is a lot of parking too which is great!

“This being my second visit I guess I liked it enough to return, and I was once again impressed with both visits.
My first visit I had chicken Parmesan
and for my second visit I had veal Parmesan. I enjoyed them both so much I will gave to have another visit to help me decide which one was my fav.
I was happy to see they have a large bar for cocktails. The service was good.
My only ding is the dated interior and the difficulty seeing the restaurant from the street as it has much greenery all around.

“The pasta at Pranzi is fantastic. It's homemade (or so it seems) and tastes extremely fresh. I had the lasagna and it was very tasty. My friends had the spaghetti bolognese and the conchiglie, both were very happy with their dishes. The portion size is good, we all had leftovers. They bring you focaccia bread and oil/balsamic vinegar before your meal as well. The service was great. Great neighborhood spot on Laurel Street in San Carlos.“

Until, we talked, I stopped ordering from Terun on principle. I was a frequent client. Takeout customers must be honored for requests that are gladly honored when in the dining room. Takeout customers should be thanked for not causing dirty tablecloths and dishes -- and LOYALTY. Jessica reinstated that loyalty. I truly hope that the owners appreciate her. “I discovered the place by accident. I was next door inside Michaels having some art pieces custom framed when I decided to look for a place to stop by to eat. I was starving. I was craving for pasta. And thats how I got to discover this place. I ordered the chicken fettucine alfredo. Love the dish with its chunky chicken pieces and al dente pasta. The complimentary cheese sticks with that cheese pimiento cheese spread was a delightful surprise. Next time Ill check their lasagna and clam chowder. I heard their clam chowder is as good as Boulins in San Francisco. I dont have to make a drive to the city to enjoy a good bowl of chowder. The lasagna looks so rich as well as their chopino. Im definitely comjng back.“

Mains took a while, but without us asking, the server brought a free appi (burrata, which was excellent). I really enjoyed the eggplant parm, and my date enjoyed her tortellini. The place seemed chaotic and disorganized, but at least the food was tasty and the servers pleasant. And sorry, I know the cookies after the meal are free, and I feel like I'm being ungrateful, but just say no. Nuf said.“
