“I go out of my way to get La Mordida' salsa. Generous self serve salsa bar, delicious Chipotle, Verde, pickled jalapeños and carrots, and spicy peppers and mango salsa (I miss the spicy cucumber salad they used to have all the time. The vegetarian options are good, sometimes just all right, but they are very consistent and everything is very fresh. I can make a whole side dish out of their salsa bar while I wait for my order, which makes this my favorite taqueria in town. The one star is missing from my review in atmosphere, only because it's usually quite loud so I only do to-go. I've only sat inside to eat once or twice. The staff is wonderful, helpful, and kind, even with language barriers. Never gotten my order wrong“

“I sorta don't want to receive this because I want it all to myself. A bit behind and off the road, these tacos were great!! Had a couple of beers and tacos after a long hike above the coast. Service was a bit slow for tacos but nothing horrible (~10mins). Very nice staff and free chips and salsa inside (self service).“

“I found this spot on maps so I decided to give it a try, so far this spot has the best seasoned meat. I got four tacos, 2 chicken and 2 pastor and they came out HOT!. Which was great, chicken was very tender and delicious. The pastor was well seasoned. The portions were good and overall just a fire spot to get some tacos. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu.“

“The Green Enchilada offers healthy, clean, vegan or carne options. Every item on their menu can be made with tasty tofu as the protein. Or, if you don't like tofu, just order grilled veggies. I like to mix tofu and grilled veggies in my burrito, bowl or tacos. For those who need it, gluten-free is also available. I'd rate this place a 5 if I could. There's value in the fact that I can eat a tasty vegan meal and my husband can have carne asada fajitas....at the same restaurant!“

“Ok, so, I love a good pozole, but I also have some stomach issues that make it so I can’t really process hot spicy food well, so I often can’t find a pozole that works for me and still is deep and rich like I want. Their pozole here is a rare and delicious exception! It’s rich deep broth sings and the hot oil is in the side so I was able to dig in and have an amazing lunch before heading to the beach to chill out for a bit. I’ll be back, often.
I also had their carnitas burrito and it slapped pretty hard too.
That said, the quesadilla was just a bit meh.“

“Had a super crispy super burrito. It was very delicious. The avocado was very good and I love the fact that there is no rice in the burrito. Would definitely recommend. There was a line for sitting but I took it to go. The wait wasn't too bad.“

“What a great discovery Cocina Mama Cholita was! Just a small unassuming place on Mission St that we happened to walk into. The young proprietor had us sample all three enchilada sauces since we were unsure about which ones to pick. All three were delicious, but the the mole sauce was one of the best I had ever tasted. His grandma’s recipe, he said. Overall, a great experience! Serendipitous!!“

“This is the food truck spot for tacos in San Francisco’s Mission District. The tacos are loaded and the sauces are nice and spicy. I love all the veggie’s they add on the side as well. Easy to pick up to-go or chill at the tables they have outside. I got 4 tacos for $17. Well worth the price and always happy to support small local businesses like this. This was a great way to celebrate Cinco De Mayo.“

“Delicious food, super friendly service. A little slower than a typical restaurant, but that’s because everything is made to order and not sitting around in a pan waiting to be served. The food was amazing, and so pretty!“

“Been going there since the 70’s We loved their fresh made tortillas and masa for tamales. I did notice today the tortillas weren’t the same. I pray the masa hasn’t changed when we make our Xmas tamales. For the past 27 years I drive from Antioch to San Francisco for our masa.🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️“

“Kiosk for ordering, so no human interaction. I can’t really compare what I ate with other Mexican restaurants because of dietary restrictions. We had tacos: hand made blue corn tortillas! Meat had a charred flavor and was of good consistency. Quesabirria eas nice the consume was on good too. Overall great experience.“

“I was surprised how good the food here is! Not too greasy, and very reasonably priced, they're also open late and jave both indoor and outdoor seating. Service is also very good, I would definitely recommend if you're looking for lunch or a quick late night bite in Half Moon Bay.“

“Walked in one day and wanted to try some nachos. Had a great time. It was good fresh food. The service was amazing and the views from the windows are pretty. The restaurant is also decorated very beautifully. Will come back again to try the other things I was suggested. But unfortunately just the day was not just for me, which was decent.
Don't mind the to go box in my photos. I didn't want to dirty dishes when I was hoping to take most of the Nachos to go :)“

“This taqueria is famous for its burrito, and even has some old Michelin stars—deserved by the food but the service was far from ideal. I waited for 45 MINUTES for a simple burrito, which was big and awesome, but way more than what the counter employee had told me it would take. It’s worth going if it’s not a weekend day, but the service gotta improve a lot on their timing to be a regular spot which I would consider going often.“

“I always get the baja style fried fish tacos Nick's way. Had some friends try them last night, and everybody thought they were incredible. I personally also add their habanero salsa which you'll have to request for if you like that much heat. Their house margaritas are the perfect accompaniment. The staff is all great. It's generally busy every time I'm there but luckily I've never had to wait very long for a table (that might just be luck).“

“I can’t say enough good things about Mexico Típico and the staff who work there. Every time I go the staff are very friendly and the food is always delicious. My last visit just solidified all the positive experiences I’ve had eating their food. Their carne asada burritos, fajitas, red sauce enchiladas, carnitas and refried beans are all made to order and come out nice and hot. My mouth is salivating just thinking about all that food!! I’ve had their super shrimp burritos before and they are fire. Love all the peppers and fillings they put In that burrito. This is my go to spot in the neighborhood for that comfort food vibe. Oh and their breakfast burritos with chorizo and refried beans too! So good!“

“My son and I YELPED for Mexican food.Good Mexican Food, and decided to give this place a try. I had the Spicy Shrimp Plate, and my son had the Steak and Spicy Prawns. They also provide Tortilla Chips and a Salsa Bar. The guy who cooked our food, knows how to cook! My shrimp was absolutely a balance of green/red peppers, onions, in a slightly sweet, savory and mildly spicy sauce. The Rice was done just right(not dried out). The Black Beans, were tender, with just the right amount of salt. The Iceberg lettuce and sliced radish was cold, fresh and crispy— Served with a dollop of sour cream, avocado sauce; a slice of tomato and sprinkle of Mexican cheese top the salad - it did a nice job to balance the heat of the main course. Everything was well executed. The overall indoor atmosphere is very clean, simple and no frills. Love their neon menu signage. And, their prices are reasonable. Thank you for the delicious meal. We will be back.“

“Tried their pork tacos —they were very tasty, but they came with a lot of sauce, which made the tortilla wet and didn’t make the experience the best. The tacos came in a portion of two (larger than usual), but I would prefer a portion of 3. Overall the taste was good, and I want to go back and try their burritos next time.“

“Our go to neighborhood place for burritos. There are a handful of tables but most buy to go. They have many selections to choose from, eg tortillas, beans and meat or non-meat fillings. You can order online which makes pick up quicker at times. Depending on the time of day, the line can wrap around the counter. It's worth the wait to stand in line. There is a small parking lot in the alley that patrons can use. Tip: If you are vegan or like the idea, you can order mixed vegetables (carrots, broccoli & cauliflower). which they will grill to add to the regular rice and beans burrito. It's a small additional charge but the added vegetables are plentiful.“

“Tried the chicken salbute and the poc chuc panucho. Both were tasty. The fried tortillas underlying these items had a nice texture. My only complaint is the meat (the chicken and the poc chuc) had a musky odor and flavor. Service was friendly, but slow. The atmosphere was merely functional and not particularly inviting. Unfortunately, the bathroom smelled odd.“

“Some of the best shrimp ceviche and spicy shrimp cocktail we’ve ever had. Elisa is from El Salvador and works by herself five days a week running this wonderful eatery on Yosemite Ave in San Francisco. The food is fresh and tastes amazing. It’s on the street and seating is limited to outside but it is totally worth it. 5/5 ⭐️“

“I ordered a chorizo torta without beans and it was absolutely fantastic! The chorizo was seasoned wonderfully, and the torta went super well with the salsa verde that the waiter very kindly offered me. It is a little pricey, about 16 dollars, but it was a really big portion, and I felt full after half the sandwich. If you are a fan of good tortas, good service, and wanting a cozy restaurant to eat in, this is the place!“

“Nice little mom and pop taqueria. At home vibe. Best quesadillas anywhere. The way they wrap their quesadillas is elite. Burritos are fantastic. Nachos are generously portioned with the ingredients evenly distributed for the most flavorful bite in every scoop. 10/10.“

“I've tried all the vegetarian burritos in town, and La Perla has the best. All ingredients of a super burrito (minus meat) and comes with extra veggies inside - peppers, onions, and spinach fajita style - rather than just a regular burrito, but with less, like most places do. It stands out among the Mexican restaurants in town for vegetarian options. Very good homemade salsas“
