“The grilled chicken burrito is amazing! I went twice in a week when visiting. Everything is fresh and made to order right in front of you. The place was packed for lunch and still very fast. The green avocado salsa was my favorite. If you're near by GO!“

“Ordered three items here around 11.30 p.m. The food was served quickly, tasted fresh and delicious, and it seemed like everything was made from scratch. Overall, the food was really good and satisfying.

“Needed to feed my plumbing repair crew nearby, so stopped at Coyote and got several burritos and large sweet orchatas.
The carne asada was really good, and so too was the pollo asado - the super size burritos were substantial and the crew was stuffed - no seconds needed.
The chips were fresh.
The Coyote crew put the to-go order together very quickly, and we're friendly and courteous.

“I usually go to their original location on 42nd so I wanted to try their new location and show some support, but the food wasn’t really tasty. I got 1 carne asada enchilada and a chicken one. The carne asada one had no taste in the meat and the meat quality wasn’t good. Was too hard to chew. Same goes for the asada tacos. The pastor one was good. The chicken enchilada was better than the asada. Rice and beans were decent. Staff was helpful and friendly. Also, I wasn’t a big fan of the huge amount of salsa on the tacos. When they ask you “con todo/ with everything” make sure you get the salsa on the side that way you get salsa from their salsa bar instead.“

When we went it was crowded and took a while to receive food. To me this is a good thing, because they took their time to prepare good food. Also parking was somewhat hard to find in its industrial neighborhood. Plan accordingly!“

“Do you love going to Flavortown? How about dreaming with your eyes open? Then try these birria tacos. The first time I had it was from leftovers that my daughter brought home for lunch. Then I drove from Oakley to San Mateo to have them fresh. It was AMAZING! They provide extra stuff to add to the tacos, but it honestly didn’t need them. The meat was so tender & flavorful that I had to close my eyes so I could fully appreciate the taste. Then I added the extras one by one & it tasted like a new taco each time. I know it seems like I’m exaggerating, but it’s really that good! My only wish is that they had seating nearby & a second location closer to Oakley.“

“I had a regular burrito at Mexcal Taqueria and it definitely hit the spot. The tortilla tasted fresh, the ingredients were well balanced, and everything was packed with flavor without being overdone. You can tell they care about the quality of the food. Portions were solid for the price, and the salsa had a nice kick to it.

Service was quick and friendly, and the whole place had a relaxed, authentic vibe. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu.“

“My son and I YELPED for Mexican food.Good Mexican Food, and decided to give this place a try. I had the Spicy Shrimp Plate, and my son had the Steak and Spicy Prawns. They also provide Tortilla Chips and a Salsa Bar. The guy who cooked our food, knows how to cook! My shrimp was absolutely a balance of green/red peppers, onions, in a slightly sweet, savory and mildly spicy sauce. The Rice was done just right(not dried out).The Black Beans, were tender, with just the right amount of salt. The Iceberg lettuce and sliced radish was cold, fresh and crispy— Served with a dollop of sour cream, avocado sauce; a slice of tomato and sprinkle of Mexican cheese top the salad - it did a nice job to balance the heat of the main course. Everything was well executed. The overall indoor atmosphere is very clean, simple and no frills. Love their neon menu signage. And, their prices are reasonable. Thank you for the delicious meal. “A fantastic new restaurant in Menlo Park! I went in with my daughter for a little mommy daughter date and we were very impressed. The service was fantastic, Jorge was so warm and lovely, and the food was really flavorful and delicious. I had the shrimp tacos that were spicy and full of flavor and had three jumbo shrimp in each taco. The tortillas were also clearly a labor of love. Their kids menu is outstanding and my little one loved the beef tacos. To top it off,
I had their smoky old-fashioned that was unique and thoroughly enjoyed and we finished with the churros- delicious! We will be back.“

Wish they had pico de gallo though. We ordered an al pastor super burrito $15.29. Huge burrito. I eat a lot of burritos and this one surprised me with it's size lol. I asked for less rice and sour cream and they accommodated. Well balanced burrito. Al pastor was crispy and flavorful. The staff is hardworking, are friendly to each other, they are all ambitious and attentive to their work. The space has so many tables and is good place for families, couples and BFFs, kids after school to hangout. Bar area also available.
