“Great tacos! The buche, carnitas, and cabeza were all really good (and large/meaty). Each one had a different delightful texture but cabeza was my favorite.... so tender! Fresh salsa bar and free chips are a huge plus. Also the free deep fried jalapenos was a nice touch. Next time I've gotta tried that awesome looking giant fried fish plate.“

“Needed to feed my plumbing repair crew nearby, so stopped at Coyote and got several burritos and large sweet orchatas.
The carne asada was really good, and so too was the pollo asado - the super size burritos were substantial and the crew was stuffed - no seconds needed.
The chips were fresh.
The Coyote crew put the to-go order together very quickly, and we're friendly and courteous.

“This taqueria is famous for its burrito, and even has some old Michelin stars—deserved by the food but the service was far from ideal. I waited for 45 MINUTES for a simple burrito, which was big and awesome, but way more than what the counter employee had told me it would take. It’s worth going if it’s not a weekend day, but the service gotta improve a lot on their timing to be a regular spot which I would consider going often.“

“This small Mexican cafè is unusual and authentic. It is a house converted into a restaurant. Not fancy, but the food is very good! My usual is the Supreme Borito which is big enough for two maybe three people, but I never stop eating until it is completely gone. That is easy to do because it is the real stuff. It is in an ethic neighborhood, and the conversation is mostly Spanish. I come to the area once a month and 4 out of 5 times I get my lunch there. That is not going chance any time soon.“

“My son and I YELPED for Mexican food.Good Mexican Food, and decided to give this place a try. I had the Spicy Shrimp Plate, and my son had the Steak and Spicy Prawns. They also provide Tortilla Chips and a Salsa Bar. The guy who cooked our food, knows how to cook! My shrimp was absolutely a balance of green/red peppers, onions, in a slightly sweet, savory and mildly spicy sauce. The Rice was done just right(not dried out).The Black Beans, were tender, with just the right amount of salt. The Iceberg lettuce and sliced radish was cold, fresh and crispy— Served with a dollop of sour cream, avocado sauce; a slice of tomato and sprinkle of Mexican cheese top the salad - it did a nice job to balance the heat of the main course. Everything was well executed. The overall indoor atmosphere is very clean, simple and no frills. Love their neon menu signage. And, their prices are reasonable. Thank you for the delicious meal. Wherever I travel I research yelp and Google reviews and this time it was spot on. Great recommendation and we will definitely go back when we visit Bay Area again.“

“Cute location and was able to find street parking fairly easily on a Sunday. Appears to be family owned business and customer service was great.

The majority of their dishes are elote based. They do not have your typical tacos and burritos but I have an obsession with all types of street corn so I had to give it a shot.

I got the papa elote with steak. It was HUGE and delicious. I added a bit of salt but other than that I loved it. I did not finish it at lunch but had more for dinner that night. It reheats well. I still have some leftover and will likely bring it with me for my work lunch tomorrow!

I only gave the food 5 stars because a) the price (20 bucks for the potato with steak, I think it was 14 or 15 without). Although, in retrospect, since this is now going to be 3 meals for me, the price is fairly reasonable !!! B) the lack of other options. While I'm really into street corn, the rest of my family is not. So this will prevent me for visiting this establishment more frequently.“

Then I drove from Oakley to San Mateo to have them fresh. It was AMAZING! They provide extra stuff to add to the tacos, but it honestly didn’t need them. The meat was so tender & flavorful that I had to close my eyes so I could fully appreciate the taste. Then I added the extras one by one & it tasted like a new taco each time. I know it seems like I’m exaggerating, but it’s really that good! My only wish is that they had seating nearby & a second location closer to Oakley.“

Wish they had pico de gallo though. We ordered an al pastor super burrito $15.29. Huge burrito. I eat a lot of burritos and this one surprised me with it's size lol. I asked for less rice and sour cream and they accommodated. Well balanced burrito. Al pastor was crispy and flavorful. “First time in Palo Alto. Had been at Stanford Hospital all day and we were craving tacos. Easy place to find.. Staff was friendly and the food we ordered was yummy!! The large Nachos can feed 2-3 people. As for the tacos, love a taqueria that's not skimpy on the meat! Definitely coming back! 😋“

Reasonably prices for the area and they also seem to specialize in seafood like oysters and cocktails or fish filets grilled, breaded, Veracruz style and buttered with garlic!

I had the asada super taco and ceviche tostada de pescado. I'd recommend the ceviche without mayo!“

“I saw a worker from another place come back from break holding a churro. I had to ask where, this shop was two doors down. First I ordered the churro and then I saw the fun ice cream varieties. Settled on a refreshing soursop, it had seeds! My friend got a dried fruit and he said that grew on him. There are many other flavors to try next time. Service was nice, there are a couple of tables to sit and eat other snacks that they make as well. PS the churros were OK, crispy and sweet but the middle was not as crispy as fresh out of a fry vat in Mexico.“

The tortilla tasted fresh, the ingredients were well balanced, and everything was packed with flavor without being overdone. You can tell they care about the quality of the food.
