“It's one of the best Mexican food restaurants in the area. They offer many home style cooked meals, but I usually go on the weekends to eat their beef barbacoa. They serve it in tacos or as a stew in a bowl to which you can add the salsa, onion, cilantro and lime. In addition they provide hand made tortillas which is the best way to have it. With great service and ambiance it no wonder people keep coming back for more.“

“I saw a worker from another place come back from break holding a churro. I had to ask where, this shop was two doors down. First I ordered the churro and then I saw the fun ice cream varieties. Settled on a refreshing soursop, it had seeds! My friend got a dried fruit and he said that grew on him. There are many other flavors to try next time. Service was nice, there are a couple of tables to sit and eat other snacks that they make as well. PS the churros were OK, crispy and sweet but the middle was not as crispy as fresh out of a fry vat in Mexico.“

“Holy underrated spot. 27 lived here my whole life and never been here til today. The chicken spot next door is legendary but this is overlooked. Big tortillas made by hand and good prices. 2 tacos here is 4 anywhere else and flavors are bomb. Maybe it's just a well kept secret but had to let yall know. Goated birria too“

“Absolutely in love with this taqueria! All there food is excellent! I have a friend who's vegan and has different tastes then me but she loved the place as well! Highly recommend the carnitas for your choice of meat, so flavorful! Generous portions. Great food for a good price! The staff as really awesome as well! I go there alot and they know me so well at his point, that I didn't even have to say my order when I walked in lol they had there machine ready for me to pay cause they knew what I wanted 🤣😁 Truly awesome staff!“

“Tried Guapas Mexican Grill recently and really enjoyed it. It’s a casual spot with solid food that delivers. We ordered two Taco Trios to sample all of their meat options, and the asada and carnitas were easily the standouts—flavorful and well cooked. We also had the impossible meat burrito, which was absolutely delicious and a great option even if you’re not vegetarian. Their habanero salsa was delicious but definitely spicy.

Service was average, but the food made up for it. Prices felt fair for the quality, and overall it was definitely worth it. We’ll be returning and would recommend giving it a try if you’re in the area.“

“I have to say, they have one of the best Authentic Pupusas I’ve ever tasted in my entire life. I am very picky with my food and I got to say man, they make one of the best if not the best pupusas in the entire Bay Area. They also offer quite the variety of food! “I came here on a whim as it's close to a few of my weekly stops. The tacos were sublime, seasoned well and not too greasy. The staff were friendly and seemed overall to be enjoying themselves. Atmosphere could use some touch up but also it's not intended to be a hangout spot like a coffee shop, so I can't fault them on that.“

“Not a good value. Their burritos are too small for $14. The grilled veggie burrito is basically just a small amount of grilled veggies and a small amount of cheese in a tortilla. Maybe I can’t expect much more from Atherton. Nice patio tho“

“This place is pretty tasty. They are under construction, but have big tables out front. The plates are an ok deal, like the asada plate for 14 bucks, or a torta for 8 bucks. But the prices are really high for a modest joint! With small tacos at 3 bucks each, lunch with a drink is about 20 bucks! Maybe I am getting old but 20 bucks should buy you more than a plate of 4 tacos. Did I mention they were tasty? Very tasty!“

“I love their barbeque chicken but lately it has been so salty to the point my kids can't eat it. Not once but two three times, I told the cook while picking it up but he kinda shrugged it off. I come all the way from San Jose to get your grilled chicken please make it like the way you used too“
