“Excellent spot for a quick lunch in Half Moon Bay. We went to the food truck. I ordered the lomo saltado with shrimp and the cheesy yuca. I loved the lomo saltado with shrimp but would skip the cheesy yuca next time. My bf ordered the lomo saltado with steak, which he liked. I had a bite of his & it was good, but if you like seafood, shrimp is the way to go. They also serve Mexican food here, which I didn't try, but if I were in the mood for Mexican food, might be worth a try.“

“Stopped by here for lunch and I have to say don't pass this place by!! It's right next to one of those touristy bigger Mexican restaurants but don't go there.. go here!! It looked like it was closed and there wasn't a clear sign when we drove by but it was definitely open. We had the asada taco, grilled fish tacos and the super quesadilla! The tacos were fresh and flavorful and they don't skimp on the servings which is great! The quesadilla is so flavorful. Friendly and fast service too. Highly recommend!“
“Staff was very attentive, well maintained restaurant, excellent patio seating area. A place to just hangout and relax with friends and family and enjoy the awesome food and drinks options.Food & drinks: Awesome selection of food and drinks“

“I gotta admit, I only chose this place because it was late and they were nearly the only thing open. But glad I did! Atmosphere is not much to speak of, but the food was excellent with friendly service. Freshly prepared, lean steak, crisp lettuce, chips and salsa gratis. I wish I could come back and try more things when I'm not heading straight to bed.“

“I got the burrito with carne asada, rice, and beans mainly as something to pile lots of tasty salsas onto, and I was not disappointed! The green and smoky / spicy red salsas were both really good. Still, I miss San Diego Mexican food menus with California burritos and plain meat burritos (i.e. just meat, no rice and beans). Probably wouldn't return unless the menu changed.“

“This is my favorite Mexican restaurant on the coast. The food is always good and served promptly. The service is quick and the restaurant is very clean. They are easy going and have no problem with substitutions either. The burrito, shrimp cocktail, nachos, and quesadilla are all wonderful and highly recommended“

“this is an old school Mexican restaurant of the exact type my parents used to take us to in the 70s. the food is amazing and hearty af, the service is friendly without being overbearing, and the ambiance is...it's obviously an old house that got turned into a restaurant and i have no idea how they make such great food in such a small space but they do it, and they do it well.“

“Super friendly and helpful staff. They provided us samples of shapes and proteins and that definitely helped us make our orders! The white rice, yellow rice, pork, and chicken thighs were great. The beverages were good too. We got the mango nectar and mint limeade.“

“The food is not only amazing and delicious but beautifully presented. Gabriel and Daniel are very nice and accommodating. We went there yesterday after a memorial for my brother in-law. This is a must try restaurant you won't be disappointed. Thank you so much for being so cheerful and making delicious food. I wish they had this place back in the day when I used to play and coach soccer at Murray field.“

“I'm a loyal customer of the Zumix juice truck on El Camino and by random chance I decided to walk over to Jovanni's taco truck (parked right next to each other). I started off light with the first visit and ordered a plain carne asada taco with no salsa or fixings. I personally always want to see if an establishment has good meat and a tortilla for a foundation. My next visit I ventured to the Carne Asada Super Taco and I fell in love. The flavors from the salsa and meat are perfectly balanced, the perfectly grilled tortilla has a bit of a nice char to it and lastly the cheese melt on the tortilla isn't overwhelming. I also enjoy the fresh cucumbers they serve with it and the grilled onions on the side. I come here 1-2 times a week now it's just absolutely worth your time to stop and grab a bite.“

“Excellent place to go for a beer and eat something light. In addition to the view that the atmosphere has is relaxed. The only thing to prepare for the order takes a little time to leave because the place is a bit crowded but the food is the same as in any other Taco bell. They have a variety of drinks.“

“The place is small, but the food is decent. I purchased one wet burrito and 2 super burritos. The super burritos suppsed to come with cheese and everything, but it didn't have any cheese in it. Nonetheless, the wet burrito is quite tasty.“

I live in San Mateo where I can actually how to go to Whole Foods and get a stupid plate like spend like 75 bucks on a meal for myself. This is the most fabulous pies you don't even know how fortunate you are to live in San Mateo county but I'm letting you know this please I swear to God you're gonna love it. By the way, best mannerism after Covid people are not nice. When you go to restaurants, they act like they do you a favor. These people are amazing. I'm astonished I'm sucked into this joint. “I had 2 chicken enchilada with refried beans and a salad. It was just the way I like it.Then you help yourself to the salsa bar for added condiments and chips. Also they serve a little sour cream if you ate something a little more spicy to cool your mouth. At least for me that works.“

“Very nice place, I went with my family and ordered a fried mojarra, it was very delicious, although the beans were not to my liking. I also ordered a shrimp ceviche and unfortunately I didn't like it, it had too much onion and lacked a little more flavor. I will return but I don't recommend the ceviche“

“Suavecito is a hole in the wall Mexican spot that is known for take-out orders. The birria is incredible. Best in the Bay Area by far. Suavecito never disappoints and hits the spot if you're craving a burrito or taco. They update their Instagram page frequently with offers and menu changes. “The food is delicious- consistently. It is a bit of a hole in the wall , but again delicious food. My only gripe is the consistency with the cashiers. One time in particular, one of the brothers was training a new girl and she didn’t ring in one taco i ordered. Once my food arrived and I noticed , the brother said I wasn’t charged and when I went to pay with my card he enforced the minimum card purchase rule. This was extremely annoying because 1. This was the their error 2. I’m a regular. He should have either made an exception or given me the taco at no charge . Instead I got no taco . This made me not go back for over a year. This lack of customer service could really detour business. I have not had an issue since starting back and the food is just delicious“
“Pretty good food. Burritos can be hit or miss, though. Sometimes there is just way too much rice in them, making the burritos a little bland. Overall though the meats are flavorful. It didn’t used to say on the menu (they’ve updated it since), but you can order regular taqueria meats like al pastor, carne asada, carnitas, cabeza, etc. in your tacos and burritos, not just chivo and res.Parking: Parking in a plaza“

“When you see there is always a line of Mexican people waiting for food, you know you should check out the place. I usually get their lengua tacos, and I recently tried their California burrito, I really like the crunchy fries in it my only complaint was the portion of carne asada in it, a little stingy in my opinion. I think I will stick to their tacos in the future“
“Amazing amazing food! SO good, and it's unbelievable how cheap it is for how good it is. I've been here multiple times and have tried their fish tacos and burrito. The meat is delicious, and the tortilla was soft and perfect, with great salsas! They also include tortilla chips and salsa with the meal. The staff who work there are so nice as well. Recommend the super taco with mango salsa! The place is small but has a cute vibe with nice decor. Great for takeout too. Location is convenient, next to the parking garage, but the train can be a bit loud passing by on the other side. Highly recommend this place!“

“Andy's is a solid neighborhood taco truck serving up tasty eats with friendly service. They are usually open for lunch Mon-Sat from 11am-4pm. I stopped by last Thursday and ordered at the window: 3 tacos and 1 vampiro taco with both carne asada and al pastor meats. I preferred the tacos between the two, both meats were tasty, toppings were fresh, and salsa had a nice spicy kick. My plate came with some caramelized onions, radish, chips and salsa (green and red). Service was great, everything is made to order and came out fast. Great spot for a quick lunch.“
“I love this taco truck. I get the quesabirria tacos de res (beef). Everything is so flavorful and delicious. I can't get anything else like it in the area. I'm always craving it! So glad they brought quesabirria to san mateo. The workers are very nice too.“

“The only thing I could say is good tacos with affordable price. The owner made everything alone, so service might be slow if there are many people. There’s a couple of people before us so we had to wait. It was fine since we would chitchat while waiting.Fresh tacos, handmade tortillas. The flavor was a little light. After squeezing the lemon juice in one, all I could taste was the sourness, so I left the other tacos without lemon. Also, cash only food truck, so be sure to carry cash with you when ordering here.Parking: It’s a street food truck, so you have to find a parking lot yourself.“

“I've been coming here since I was a kid, we used to come almost once a week its so good. Its always been such a warm environment and such delicious food. I recommend this place to everyone! There is plenty of vegetarian food for me to eat (I usually get a cheese tostada or a cheese enchilada) and my husband loves what ever meat dishes he has tried here. The family that owns it are very friendly, especially their daughter. If you live in the area and somehow haven't been here, you've got to try it!“

“Ordered a super burrito with no beans, received a regular by mistake on a take out order. Chips and salsa included, which were great, green salsa especially. Burrito was large size, but with only meat and rice inside did not satisfy. They do not offer a breakfast burrito anymore and said they were out of eggs. I would give them another chance but would eat there to ensure my order was right, and get more chips and salsa!“

“Despite the faded and eclectic decor, Charlie's is a neighborhood favorite. The salsa bar has the fresh condiments and crisp tortilla chips. The seating is plentiful. The ladies here take care of you. And the food is flavorful and generous. Try the tacos, burritos, the ceviche, menudo. Oh my gosh they are tasty. Street parking only, limited outdoor seating.“
“This place is a hidden gem. The tacos Dorados are some of the best shrimp tacos you'll find! After frequenting the San Bruno location I was pumped to see they added another truck close to me in downtown San Mateo. Fast and friendly service too!“

“Excellent and affordable tacos in downtown Burlingame.Quality: 5Value: 5Service: 4Ambience: N.A.They have $2-3 tacos that are AWESOME. Every flavor we got was great except the chicken. Good carne asada, good al pastor, and they have cabesa most days, too. It's hard to complain at this price!Yes, they only speak Spanish, and yes, the parking lot is only for the mechanic shop (and the mechanic will shoo you out if you try to park there). But for just picking up amazing tacos at amazing prices, who cares about ambience? Our new go to spot to avoid the bougie nonsense of Burlingame avenue.“
“The chain on the gate broke. I called them, and they solved the problem within 2 hours; I took two quotes, and theirs was better. Now, the work was professional. I will recommend you. Thank you.Service: General repairs & maintenance“

“I give it 4 stars because their prices for tacos are the cheapest I have found in the area and they load it up with plenty of meat. I tried 4 meats (carnitas, chorizo, carne asada, and pastor). Carnitas was a bit too dry for me, not a big fan of the chorizo flavor, carne asada was a good flavor, and pastor was my fave. I loved their green salsa with the chips, mind you the chips are not made in the restaurant and are just from a bag but they go well with the green salsa. Next time I'll try their seafood items!“
“Amazing tacos for a reasonable price! The truck was on the El Camino in front of Safeway. Red truck with some chairs in front. I had two tacos, carne asada (steak) and el pastor (marinated pork). If you order with everything it comes with seasoned onions, carrots on the side, and fresh onions and cilantro on the tacos. You can get green or red sauce on the side. Overall it's a great street taco. One of the best I've had in the area. Worth a try“

“Usually the taco deals on Doordash suck because of the low review taco spots . However , this was the only highly rated place that didn't concentrate on tacos like they others . This place does it legit . Every single ingredient had flavor in it. And it was the first time I had a manglonada.Don't know how they get mangos so sweet , but they have all the classic ingredients. You can tell from the neighborhood that it has to be legit . Latin population in the area would hate it if they were washed out places like the ones only serving calorie conscious crowds.Glad i was able to discover this shop. Super super recommended“

“We ordered Panuchos, Pork Adobo. This spot is one of two Mayan/Yucatan restaurants run by Merida immigrants in Bay area as far as i know. Panuchos is incredibly delicious. You can see very thin layer of black beans between two deep-fried tortillas. And deep fried, the shell is so crispy, and then you’ve got that thin layer of salty, nutty black beans on the inside. Pickled onion, house made habanero salsa complement the flavors. The main ingredients used in Pork Adobo, Cochinita pibil must be Achiote. It has a slight peppery and lemony taste to it. It was a truly incredible experience to learn, eat traditional Mayan food!“
