“Great food, super friendly and welcoming staff, and really fun atmosphere! My family's been going here for years and every time we return we're always welcomed with open arms and smiles. The sangria is super yummy and I always love their tamales.“
“Damn El Charrito, you got me craving those flavors. After doing some grocery shopping in Colma, we decided to try a new (to us) taco truck which is located near the Wendy's in Colma/Day City border area. We were surprised to see so many 5 star reviews, but now I know why. We decided to get a couple burritos, my BF wanted a Carne Asada and I wanted the Birria. Both were huge and had half for lunch and the rest for dinner. What I really loved was the salsas! They gave us free chips with three types of salsa; a roasted pepper tomato that was spicy, a habanero that was also spicy but so tasty I couldn't stop eating it and the last was a green salsa that was less spicy but very flavorful.“

“Delicious and super fast service! I got the super burrito with carne asada and it was glorious. The portions were huge and the melty cheese paired with the crispy bits of carne asada was so delicious. My boyfriend got the wet super burrito and he loved it as well. Prices are reasonable and the restaurant is clean.“

“I had a great conversation with the young girl that was working today! She was the sweetest! My husband, daughter & I loved the wet burrito & California burrito! Portions are great for the price & super delicious! Will be coming back again! Our new fav taqueria!!Vegetarian options: You can just tell them not to add meat. I don’t eat meat myself.Parking: There’s a free parking lot right across the street“
“Support this local business! The food tasted really good! There's a few taquerias around but THIS ONE! We ordered some cakes and they were fresh, prepared really well. My BFs dad spoke with the owner who is usually working, &sometimes they don't get any business on slow days:( &the food was VERY good! There's a competing taqueria close by that gets more customers &there's a BIG difference on the food quality. That it's shocking how much better this restaurant is yet less customersSupport this local business! The food is very delicious! There are a few taquerias around the area, but THIS ONE! It is surprising that this restaurant has better food, but there are fewer customers“

“I was craving Mexican food and my friend recommended this place. The restaurant was in a nice and a quiet plaza and the staff was friendly. You can get one free bag of chips and salsa but anything more is extra charge. They weren't very impressive either. I ordered the California burrito and they use waffle fries which was a cool and unique approach. The meat was well seasoned as well! I enjoyed the burrito but it was a little pricey for me.“
“This is my second time here. While they don’t have a big menu their food is always on point. I personally come for the pizza and salads. “It’s so fresh it makes you wanna slap yo momma!!!” It’s also a good place just to watch the game and chill. ???“

“This place hits the nostalgia factor for me in big way. Growing up my parents would take me to similar family friendly Mexican spots in the east bay like this where they would serve a ladle full of beans and a small mountain of rice with all plates. The trifecta for my first meal here was a combination plate with enchiladas and tacos served with ground beef and shredded chicken.....I was in absolute bliss. Add into the mix great chips/salsa, guacamole and pitchers of margaritas and you've got a spot that clearly has some staying power. IMO places like this are incredible barometers of who you are as a person. There's literally nothing to not love about it and yet I read these reviews and laugh. People need to recognize it for what it is...an amazing greasy spoon Mexican restaurant. The fact you can walk to the beach from here and work off the meal and catch an amazing sunset....I will be back!“

“OMG Did I just find my new favorite burrito spot? First, let me say my suggestion is that you order and it eat at the taqueria so your food is still fresh and warm. There's a few table and seats to eat inside. Second, the lady at the cashier who took our order was so sweet. Third, it's burrito perfection here! I got the Super Burrito with carnitas and refried beans. One of the best carnitas I've ever had. The carnitas was smoky, fatty, moist, and delicious! My boyfriend and I also shared the al pastor taco which was I also enjoyed.“

“My fam and I went to SF to visit for the first time and as soon as we got off the airplane, we stopped at El Taconazo because we were starving and didn't know where else to eat. My fam and I loved this place!. The food was amazing, the service and ambiance as well!. The owner and her daughter gave us different drinks to try(aguas frescas) and even gave tips and wrote down places to visit! Would definitely visit and recommend this place !!“

“Came here last night on my home. I ordered the chicken enchiladas plate with green sauce and super carne nachos. Well seasoned and delicious. Chatting with the lady at the register and one of the cooks who I think were the owners while waiting for my food. Very nice folks. I will be back to try the other items.“
