“Had just arrived in San Francisco, and hit the road heading to Sonoma for a wedding this weekend. Looking for a place to have lunch and we found Avatars on line. So, we decided to try it, and we are glad we did. Our meals were cooked fresh to order and they were delicious! Friendly staff and a place we will fondly remember and look forward to trying again on our next trip out here!!“

“Love this place, love the food. We've been coming here for years, and the energy and quality has never wavered. They only use whole beans, which I prefer, and the simple "vegetarian burrito" is so flavorful and sustaining. They also have a good selection of excellent agua frescas. And all reasonably priced. Whenever I can get there, I go!“

“It was the second time we ate here and all the apps., Ceviche, Sikil Pak and Tostones were excellent but the service was not on top of their game as last time even though the place was not full.(not taken to our table but gestured towards it and waiter attention felt rushed) All things considered, still an excellent place for dining.“

“We went last night on 10/10/2024. Claudia was our waitress. She did a wonderful job,and her customer service was excellent. We had one issue with a plate. She and the manager took care of it. It wasn't big, but I appreciate them listening. The restaurant has a great atmosphere for a couples outing or dinner. They strive to have good dishes“

The food was delicious. I had the tuna crudo, the queso fundido apps and the braised beef short rib for my entree. I would highly recommend the three dishes.“

“This is for the Pompano location. Ok folks, let me preface with I'm not a super fan of Mexican food. Last night we decided to try this place and boy I was more than impressed. I had the Las Olas chimichanga stuffed with shrimp & crab and boy what a flavor festival. My girlfriend had the chile relleno's and she said they are the best she has had in FL. The service was great & the food was beyond belief. I left looking forward to going back & that has not happened to me with regards to Mexican food in 15 + years. This place is a must try.“

“My family and I really enjoyed the quesabirrias and carne asada sopes.
The customer service seemed rushed but otherwise attentive.
The location is nice but there's poor accessible parking and this is a problem for tourists.
We would eat here again.“

“The fish tacos is the star of the menu, so crispy and juicy cod with yummy sauce, but the chilaquiles with the fluffy egg on top is another star, too. Don’t forget to order their killer Aqua Fresca. So fresh and burst of the fruits will make you want to have another cup. I’m a big fan of this place!!!!“

“These breakfast burritos are A DEAL!!!!No where in SF have I gotten such a great meal at Texas prices... In the Bay area!?Loved the breakfast burrito and breakfast bowl. The coffee is delicious and their bar setup is ultra cute.In fact the entire spot is well decorated and clean. We had great sest where we were people watching inside and chatting.It's located very close to all the big tourist sites and so quick. Perfect for on the go meal and very filling.Their hot salsa is... fantastic and. You better ask for two.“

“Cash only. Sweetest people ever! Got 6 tacos and they asked if we wanted them split on two plates. Also happy to give us extra limes when we asked. Only two little tables set up outside but right across from a cute park! Al pastor was my favorite but the pollo and carne asada were both delicious as well. Great value for SF!“

“My first time at Betzy's Tacos today and I am impressed! Our local San Rafael taco stand is tucked away in a small strip center between 3rd and 4th at H Street. Worth the drive or walk to this tasty eatery! I had 3 carnitas tacos and fresh corn tortillas and lots of crisp corn chips and guacamole! Really reasonably priced and nice covered outdoor eating area available. What more could you want on a sunny summer day! Delicious food!“

“In 2022 I wrote: A friend and I were happy to tumble on Barrio in Ghirardelli Square. Good food, good service, and great views. I had the margarita and fist taco. My friend had the wine and an enchilada.
Now in 2024, I can update that Barrio is still an excellent place to have a meal and margarita.“

“This place was amazing! I was in a party of 3 and we all had tacos. I got the carne asada tacos and these were amazing. The portions fit 1 person each. I got two tacos filled to the brim. These wee packed with flavor and were so good.
I also got a shirley temple it was perfect.
This place was recommended on the Michelin guide in 2018 and I can see why! The only issue with third place is that it’s a bit pricey, with the cheapest options being $13 and most of the stuff is around $20, but it is SF so that is expected.
I will definitely be coming here again, this place exceeded my expectations by a lot!
Vegetarian options: there were some vegetarian options, but not labeled.
Parking: Parking is a bit difficult to find, we parked about half a mile away
Kid-friendliness: Saw many young kids and the waiters were very nice
Wheelchair accessibility: No large steps“

“Been going there since the 70’s We loved their fresh made tortillas and masa for tamales. I did notice today the tortillas weren’t the same. I pray the masa hasn’t changed when we make our Xmas tamales. For the past 27 years I drive from Antioch to San Francisco for our masa.🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️“

“Another incredible restaurant in San Francisco. The Mole here is one of the best we've ever had, full stop. The portions are immense, and I can say that this is full on "home cookin'". I also want to point out how patient and gracious the staff was with our questions, and our broken spanish. Breakfast here is really a treat!“

“Stop s lunch before visiting Golden Gate Park. Located in little Russia. (North of the park). To park well as long as you use a parking meter. Small place. 3-4 tables. You order directly at the checkout and then they bring it to your table. The food was good. As a negative point. It doesn't have bathrooms.
Good location near the park. And correct quality-price ratio.“

“I do not frequent this area often but was in town for work. Was looking for a lunch spot and saw the great reviews and photos of the food. I opted for the Chilaquiles with carne asada red sauce. I'm telling you...it was the best serving of Chilaquiles I have ever had. Perfectly soaked chips with great sauce and onions...the meat was super flavorful. I will 100% be stopping by every time I'm in the area so I can try it all. Give them a try!“
