We drove all the way from East Bay to try this place and it did not disappoint. Complimentary chips and salsa if you order a certain amount. The chips are basic but the salsa made up for it, but the real star of the show is their menu, so get their house specialties. Prices are as expected in SF and finding street parking could be a challenge, but we got lucky.

Just stopped in town and wanted to eat before checking in to the hotel. Tacos El Patron came up on my maps as a good place so I tried it. It's a small local neighborhood spot with family run vibe. I ordered the birria and carnitas tacos and asada vampiros with chips and housemade salsa. They came with four different sauces, two were very hot and two were medium. Everything was amazing!! The salsa was very fresh and bursting with flavor. Great taco spot in San Fran!!
