This is specifically delivery order of Kofteh Bilbandoorah.Or minced beef with saffron rice?The saffron rice was quite good. The minced beef tasted alright, but presentation is pretty odd, it was a cube like a brick. It would certainly have tasted better if it were like a usual dish, the sauce and minced beef (is it really? Just can't tell) would mix well with rice.
I had the pleasure of eating Mama Lamees' food a few days ago. One word:Delicious! My husband and I ate the mujadarrah, mnazzalet zahra, hummus, walnut and pistachio baklava, and Palestinian sage tea. I'm definitely going back there soon to enjoy more of Lamees' food. I am looking forward to trying everything on the menu. Beyond how delicious I find the food at this restaurant, I find the people to be incredibly warm, kind, inspiring and generous. I just had a lunch from Mama Lamees through Forkable. It was delicious! Sayyadeyyet Samak (fried fish with seasoned basmati rice, caramelized onions and fresh salad). The dressing and sauce were an excellent complement. I tried to find where it is so I can have it again, but it looks like they are caterers, not a restaurant, so I'll watch for them on our lunch menu.
