“Best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to so far in the US.“

“I always have pupusas everywhere I go, I’m always disappointed from every place I visit… except this one, this food truck has the best tasting pupusas I’ve had other than my tias and another place around 4th street. I highly recommend this place!!!
Also the decoration is beautiful!!!“

“I came with my family here, very clean place, clean restroom, clean everything, good food. Fast service, but please ladies from the front (customer service) smile, you take care of the customer like robots, next, thank you , next, thank you next. I was looking at every single person that was receiving their orders to make sure that chips are given to some odres or to every order. We order two burritos, one pupusa and twelve tacos. We did not received chips at all. I saw people that purchase tacos , receiving their chips, this wasn’t my case. No one gave us our chips😟“

“Wow! This place is so charming. My party of 4 went here last min before going into downtown and it was not disappointing. The server was super respectful that we were on a bit of a time crunch. We were the only ones there which must have helped to get our food out fast. Love the decoration on the wall and the big windows!“

“Wow! This place is great. We had the Chile Verdi Plate and a salad with shrimp. The plate was a good size portion and both were delicious. I loved the vinaigrette dressing on the salad and the flavor on the shrimp. We’ll be back to try more- in saw the nachos as we were leaving and they looked devine.

The outdoor area was really pleasant as well. We had a very good meal here.

Edit to add- both the grilled chicken burrito and the butternut squash burrito were fantastic. The squash had a delicious char to it.“

“Glad to have found this restaurant. Since moving to San Rafael, I’ve been missing and looking for authentic Mexican food. The other Mexican restaurants I’ve tried in San Rafael don’t compare to this restaurant. Fast and friendly service. Clean interior with cheerful decoration and atmosphere. Finally, the food is well seasoned and flavorful. Definitely hits the spot!“

“This place has been a community bedrock for 20+ years. Always here for us. During covid lock downs, they set up their own food pantry (with the fridge getting electricity from the shop).

“I came here because the San Francisco Chronicle listed it as one of the best 10 tamales in the bay area. I was not disappointed. It’s not traditional corn masa tamales from Mexico, but rather rice or potato masa tamales. The sauces are wonderful the meat is tender, and the tamales melt in your mouth. The nice lady behind the counter was very helpful in helping me make my choices. I bought six different tamales to take home. I’ll be back.“

“The wet donkeys are their specialty, the seasoning is something that makes you come back August 2/24 I returned out of melancholy and desire or I am far from reality but I was surprised at the price of a regular donkey and a drink 19.70 without a receipt I feel the price is exaggerated“
