“With patio and outdoor seating, this taqueria is a short bike ride or walk from the ferry. The service was excellent, friendly waitstaff bilingual in Spanish and English. We got the three taco special and the shrimp quesadilla. Both of us loved the quesadilla and my friend preferred the carne asada tacos whereas I like the Baja tacos best. They bring out a little sauce platter with crema too which is nice. Without the salsa the tacos were not heavily seasoned but the salsa was good and spicy. Between the two of us it was about $25/person plus tip, so this is definitely more of a sit down and have a pleasant meal kind of taco shop with a Sausalito vibe. They had a chile relleno special with crab meat but it was $38 so I held back. I would come back and try more seafood items.“

Right away they told us there were reservations so we would only be able to eat till around 7:15ish, which was totally okay. The back area was very cute, and extremely warm with the heater.For the food, we got 2 pizzas - honey pepperoni and the one with mushrooms. They were both good, but the crust was the best part. And the honey pepperoni said spicy on the menu but wasn't spicy at all.For appetizers, we got garlic bread and burrata cheese salad. The bread was on the drier side, couldn't taste much garlic. We also had the veggie samosas (big, nicely spiced, just perfect), garlic naan (perfection, saag paneer and butter chicken. Everything we ordered was simply delectable. “Honestly, I always enjoy my experience at Pakwan. My go to is their cheese naan, which in my opinion is the best naan in SF, possibly the bay. I usually accompany it with either an aloo mutter, bengan bartha, or a chicken tikka masala. Something that goes good with naan and is scoop-able. The workers are super nice and show a lot of hospitality. I really like the ambiance and how the dine in experience is as well with the music they play and how It has a family style vibe that makes it really inviting. Overall, one of 16th streets best eats. “I loved the colorful and inviting aesthetic of this location. The gluten-free menu was also delicious! My husband and I had the plátano huarache with carnitas which was perfection! Loved the plátano substitute as the huarache base and the sweet tanginess of the pickled purple onions on top. The mole was also great although more of a spicy kick with a sweet chocolate finish. I thought it was interesting that the salad didn't have a dressing. I would have liked a house variation. The peachy mezcal cocktail has a great name and very smoky flavor - not much peach though. The service was fantastic! We felt very cared for especially given that there were two events happening the same night that we arrived. They fizzled out soon after 6:00 PM and it was nice to have some quiet during our meal before the next dinner rush arrived. There were colorful flower petals on everything and it made me so happy! Make sure to ask about how to get your parking validated at the restaurant. We parked at the Levi's parking lot during the meal, then went to Exploratorium after dark and the parking was free! It has a young start up vibe with good precious offerings, a limited interesting menu for a bakery that also does lunch. It’s pretty much outdoor seating only sans the shade and expect a line. We are told by the counter staff it takes eight minutes to heat the savory mushroom pie or corn pastry with an egg inside. Everything was tasty.Personally I prefer muffins containing an egg to be soft boiled rather than hard, such as the morning muffin at Post Script on Jackson street which can’t compare to anything else. It was a fun place to try and I brought a couple of cookies home to try. The matcha latte was excellent, sweetened with brown sugar. I like that they use good ingredients on their spare cuisine. I do think they might expand the menu a tad.“

“I still give this place five stars for their gluten free baked goods and take home lasagna but overall four stars because their service still sucks most of the time. I went by here recently on a Sunday morning before a meeting to grab something hot to eat. I love their hot pockets. However, it was 9:30 am. A number of people around me and I started to form a line. Some people asked the staff questions about the pastries and they answered while putting stuff out. None of the staff thought to tell us that they didn't open until 10 am on Sundays. After about 5 minutes of being ignored, I saw the small sign for their hours. I pointed it out to others and we all left. That was a horrible experience as I was hungry and now didn't have time to get something else before my meeting. On Pi Day, I came by and was pleased they had a number of pies available in different sizes. I picked up a small Chocolate Pie that was low in sugar and a small Cherry Pie. They were the perfect size for the three of us though they could have fed more people. We didn't finish the pies ourselves. The Chocolate Pie was yummy and perfect for me but my husband said it wasn't sweet enough for him. We all loved the Cherry Pie! We went back recently and picked up their pizza dough. It came with two rounds. They were awesome!!! We put on our own toppings and popped them into the oven. They came out delicious. I love their food. I just wish the service was better.“

“We're from San Francisco and were getting married in the city, but decided to venture across the bridge after striking out on other vendors due to price, size limitations (270+ people), or general availability. We feel so lucky that we came across Krumbs based on the A+ experience, from tasting to delivery. One thing we truly hoped for was a true cake-tasting experience. In the post-COVID landscape, everything is "come buy cupcakes and let us know what you think." We went out to Krumbs and were so excited to be able to sit down and be treated to all of their cake, mousse, and frosting flavors, and even though we had only inquired about one flavor, we left with two. They were also super-flexible when it came to design and weighed in with their own opinions after learning about the wedding vibe, cake topper, etc. Their pricing was affordable but the experience felt premium in every way, from the tasting to delivery and putting the finishing touches at the venue. We were able to hand them off to our venue coordinator and they managed everything from there. We also had them do our sheet cake for the rest of the guests so everyone could have the same experience. We like them so much we went back to buy a birthday cake for my mother-in-law a few weeks later. SF is great but I feel like we found a gem in Krumb's and would recommend them to anyone.“
