“Amazing food at a reasonable price. The sun room is beautiful with tall ceilings and large windows. Norman, the owner, was very kind. Great variety of vegan and vegetarian food with offerings outside of what you find at other places. They also have lunch buffet menu! You can tell this is an authentic place and an old SF staple. Highly recommended and will come back next time I’m in town :)“

“I was driving by Sunset Indian Cuisine, and stopped by to check the restaurant out. To say everything exceeded my expectations is understatement, Food was delicious and generous portion, and ate all of it ( usually I would not eat full but it was impossible to stop eating). Inside is very cozy and warm, and this will be my place from now on to eat. 12 out of 10 would recommend this gem“
“A rather odd place. First of all, the tandoori chicken and the palak paneer were fantastic – the best I’ve ever had, I think. However, the naan (we got plain and garlic) was the worst I have ever had. Think thin, bad pizza dough. The basmati rice was alright. Service was friendly but a bit slow and scattered. The women’s bathroom was dirty enough that I decided to wait until I got back home. The tension on the door to the women’s bathroom was set so high that the door slammed into me quite hard.“

“Tiya is hands down the best Indian restaurant in the Bay Area. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the staff genuinely make the entire experience feel special.
And the cocktails are in a league of their own. Izler Thomas is easily one of the best bartenders in the Bay Area, incredibly creative, thoughtful, and technically brilliant. Every drink feels like it has a story behind it, and the execution is flawless.
From the food to the cocktails to the hospitality, Tiya gets everything right. I’ve tried plenty of the other highly regarded Indian restaurants around the Bay, including Copra, and for me it’s not even close. Tiya is the one. Cannot recommend it enough.“

“Our daughter found Rose Indian Cuisine on Google Reviews and we were so glad that she did! Great location near the Golden Gate Botanical Gardens. This place was one of the best meals we had during our vacation. We had a cauliflower dish, Gobi Manchurian. Honestly the most delicious cauliflower dish eaten; it was gone before the other appetizers arrived!!! The entrees were also tasty and the naan beyond fabulous. The meal ended with chai tea. Highly recommend dining here for delicious food and spectacular service!!“
“I had the buffet and it was delicious! I came near the end of the buffet on a Sunday, but the food was still hot with many entree, appetizer, and dessert options. It also comes with naan which is a plus. My server was also nice and gave a run down of the buffet.“

“We were here for a late lunch over the weekend and loved how it didn’t feel overly crowded to start with. The ambience is perfectly setup to create an open space!
We were greeted promptly and taken to our table we had reserved, even after we were served water we got attended just to be asked if we are celebrating anything.
The staff was very polite and made us feel right at home. Once we started trying the different dishes we kept getting impressed one after the other. The flavors are proof enough that they don’t make anything in a rush, there were flavors and attention to the detail from taste to the presentation. I live in Texas, but I will be recommending this to everyone and everyone who would be going to San Francisco in the future“

“Hey there foodie friends, Guess what? I just had the most delicious and authentic North Indian food during my visit to San Francisco! I never expected to find such yummy flavors in the USA. From buttery naan to spicy curries, my taste buds were dancing with joy! If you ever get the chance, you HAVE to try it out. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! Keep on adventuring and trying new things!“

“It’s a good restaurant with good food; however, the service could be better. We were celebrating a birthday and had requested whether the complimentary celebration dessert could be changed from ice cream to something else, as the birthday person was dealing with a sore throat. Unfortunately, they declined the request. I believe they could have handled the situation with a little more thoughtfulness and flexibility, especially given that it was a birthday celebration and we are anyway paying super high prices for super small portions. Their dahi puri and paneer pinwheel were good.“

“Seriously underrated. The owner wanted me to eat the panipuri in the restraunt when it was takeout order saying it would get soggy. I was like nah I'm still going to have that that takeout and he literally poured a bunch of the tamarind water into a Togo coffee cup with lid. The service is second to none. Also the lamb biryani is so good. Cost wise its not overly expensive. Taste wise its rlly good“

“I had their lamb roganjosh, aloo Gobi, and chicken chettinand. People might say Pakwan is the place to go for good Indian food in the city, but I was thoroughly impressed with what I ate at Keeva. This is not watered down gringofied Indian food. Absolutely loved the lamb roganjosh, the cauliflower and potatoes were very well spiced, and while I personally didn't like the chettinand, I understand the flavor profile and what that dish is. You're missing out on really delicious Indian food if you're not eating here.“

“New Delhi has hands down the best Indian food in Marin IMHO, great for vegetarians! Service is friendly and delightful , and the food is excellent, with each dish having a unique flavor profile. Lunch buffet often has more unusual seasonal dishes, as well as the classics. Buffet is an incredible deal with lots of dishes, Chai, salad, samosas and pakoras, pickles and dessert all included, and delicious. Did I mention that prices are really reasonable? What's not to like?“

“It’s my first time getting Indian food in San Francisco, and I was very satisfied with eating at Noe Indian Cuisine.
Our server Subi was very friendly, kind, and sweet. The food (samosa, chicken tikka masala, chicken biriyani, naan) was all delicious and freshly cooked. The two of us really enjoyed all of the food and had nothing left on our plates.
We will definitely come back soon in the future.“

“Our favorite Indian food in San Francisco. They truly go above and beyond for their customers and their food is always delicious. They forgot to add my Naan into my Togo bag this evening and personally drove it to my house to make sure that we were able to enjoy it with our meal. Have eaten in house a few times with my in laws and their table side service is just as attentive.
Their Chicken Lolipops (appetizer version) or the Chicken 65 (entree version) are always a must/go to especially when we bring our family and friends!“

“I recently visited Taj Indian Cuisine with some friends, and it was an absolutely incredible dining experience. Hands down, the food here is the best among all the places I usually visit! We ordered a variety of dishes to share: Paneer Pakoda: Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and a great way to start the meal. Mix Grill: Packed with flavor, perfectly charred, and incredibly juicy. Dal Makhani: Rich, creamy, and slow-cooked to absolute perfection. Mint Lachha Paratha & Garlic Naan: Both breads were fresh, warm, and the perfect complement to the rich curries. The mint flavor on the paratha was a stando! If you are looking for authentic, high-quality flavors, this is easily one of the best places in California for Indian and Nepali cuisine. I will definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommended!“

“$120 for 3 people including tax+tip, this is a very nice spot and great location, don't come here if you're in a hurry though the service and food was a little slow haha. The smashed samosas were so good! Also really liked the chicken dumpling tikka masala“

“We stopped there on our way to catch our flight at SF airport. We were short on time and we placed our order. Our server was fantastic helping us to order and we were served our dinner promptly. There was a feeling that all the staff worked together as a team, looking after all the tables not just their own station. That is a sign of true teamwork. We really enjoyed our dinner there. Food and service~ EXCELLENT!“

“This place made the tastiest veggie curry dish - I asked for the Channa Masala extra spicy and they did such a great job! Their garlic naan is very good too. I am not an expert or Indian food aficionado. However, I love the taste of their food and the girl I spoke with over the phone was very sweet!“

“We had such a wonderful experience at Star India! We were visiting San Francisco with family and craving authentic Indian food, and we enjoyed the meal so much that we ended up coming back a second time on the same day. The food had a truly authentic Indian taste, and the pakoras were especially crispy and delicious.
What stood out even more was their hospitality. We were freezing that night, and although it was already closing time, they specially made chai for us and even offered us extra. We loved both the food and the customer service, and we’ll definitely return on our next trip to San Francisco!“

“Very nice place, my family came here for late night cravings and did not leave disappointed. Such amazing food everything looked great, I had the vegetarian malifa kalfi, to mention they also had a great amount of vegetarian options, I couldn't get enough of my food it was delicious, the Britain looked great, and the Haan wasn't to soft to be chewy and weird and not so hard to be burnt and unjoyable but it was perfectly cooked to pair with rice and curry. Dont know how to share pictures but if I did you would be blessed by how good it looked, tasted so so good, again the malai kofta was MIND BLOWING, great food and even better service, the owner and server was so kind and giving,“

“I got Karahi Gosht and it was authentic and flavorful. Serving quantity was decent as well. I live in the South Bay and most places over there don't get this dish right. 5* from me, for the Karahi Gosht and Naan. Service understandably took some time because they make it fresh and piping hot. And I went there in between performances of standup comedy at Cobb's next door.“

“First of all, the catchy name caught my attention, but the menu is what truly impressed me. They offer fresh, innovative dishes you don't typically find at regular Indian restaurants. The paneer butter masala was finger-licking delicious, and the naans were fresh and soft—they didn't even get chewy when cold. The chaats are a delight, especially the onion kachori chaat.
The absolute highlight, however, was the dessert that shares the restaurant's name: Jalebi. Fried in ghee with real saffron and made fresh to order, it is the most delicious jalebi I’ve tasted in the whole of the USA.
The hosts are a lovely couple running a family-owned business, and they truly have a calling for hospitality. When we visited right around closing time, they were still running around for hungry customers. Even when they had to turn a group away at the door, the wife immediately offered to pack food to go, bringing smiles to everyone's faces. She always finds a way to serve her customers. We really enjoyed our meal and hope to return soon!“

“The momo jhol is the absolute star. The tikka pizza is also good, but the momo has been my lunch the past 7 times I have been there. Creamy, rich, and supple soup, with incredibly spiced dumplings. When I have this and a napali beer I can work all day feeling fueled. Slightly barebones in the seating, but the food outshines that“

“We came to San Francisco from the UK and were looking for authentic Nepali food. Among the many Nepali restaurants, we chose Gurung Kitchen, and it turned out to be a great decision. The hospitality and service from Tamang baini were excellent, making us feel very welcome. The food was truly authentic Nepali style—especially the pork jhir, jhol momo, and all the curries, which were cooked just like back home in Nepal. Thank you for the wonderful food and warm hospitality. We highly recommend Gurung Kitchen to anyone looking for genuine Nepali cuisine in San Francisco! KUDOS“
