“I loved my visit to this restaurant! The vibes are great, perfect service, and most important, AMAZING food. I would highly recommend stopping in to try this restaurant. I went with a party of three and we ordered several items so we could share and try them, everything was delicious. I attached sone photos. The corn thing looked nasty and I was like eww I'm not eating that. Then I tried it and OMG it was so good we ordered a second one.“

Took away a star for a somewhat odd service. We were repeatedly asked to clarify our order -we had ordered samosa and chai (snack) but strangely were served samosa chaat. Tasted great though.
The Idlies were also great . Would have loved a bit more of the chutneys and the sambar.

Also would be good to have drinks in non-disposable cups for sit-down orders.Would suggest considering non-plastic stirrers.

Would highly recommend the restaurant overall.“

“Delicious, high-quality Indian food that preserves the authentic flavors of North Indian cuisine without overwhelming heat. The dishes are well balanced and thoughtfully prepared.

I tried the brunch thali which was generous, good variety of dishes, and very filling. The chaat starters were excellent, and the biryani is a must-order! deeply flavorful and aromatic. Haven’t tasted such a delicious biryani in a long time. Easily one of the better-quality Indian restaurants in this area.

The ambiance is clean, spacious, and comfortable, with outdoor seating available. Service is polite and friendly. Overall, very good value for money.“

“If definitely satisfied the craving for indian food. My boyfriend and i have nut allergies and the staff was very attentive and made sure there would be no cross contamination. The chicken vindaloo was great paired with the garlic naan and the complimentary rice they serve you. The chana masala was decent but not my favorite that i’ve tried. Overall the service was great and the food was good and comes close to my favorite indian spot in north beach. Will definitely be back!“

“I had a fantastic dinner at Curry and Kabab in San Mateo tonight! The **Soya Chaap** was incredibly flavorful and well-textured, and the **Aloo Gobi** was cooked to perfection with just the right balance of spices. Pairing them with their fresh, warm **Naan** made for a truly satisfying meal.

If you're looking for authentic flavors and great service in San Mateo, this spot is a must-visit. Five stars all the way!

For example the bench outside the Redwood City restaurant is so pretty and show cases the colors and designs of India. The food itself is very comforting. It is inspired by the recipes of the founder's grandmother and it is delicious. I love the chai there and love that they have a chai kit. “My sister and I came here yesterday to celebrate our birthday lunch and had such a lovely experience. Our server, a very kind older gentleman, was incredibly attentive and kept checking in on us. He was also so accommodating with my 12 month old baby.

The food was excellent! the butter chicken was very tasty and tender, the fish pakora was delicious and baby approved!, the rogan josh lamb was full of flavor, and the garlic naan was so fresh. At the end of our meal he even surprised us with complimentary gulab jamuns for our birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch.

“Nan N Curry is one of the best spots in town for authentic Pakistani and Indian food. The flavors are rich, the naan is always soft and fresh, and the curries taste perfectly balanced. “Wanted to like this place more. Dosa Box is one of the ghost kitchens in San Mateo Food Mall. Ordered from the website for pick up. You get a text when it's ready, go inside and check in with the worker who is at the desk. They open the locker for you where the food is placed.

Our dosas were completely soggy. Would have been very good if it was still crispy. Although it makes sense that dosa would not be a good take out item. They could've poked holes in the box or put the masala potatoes separate instead of inside the dosa to maintain crispiness.

Also just a note if anyone was wondering, the masala dosa comes with sambar (since the menu is not clear about that).“
