“Twelvemonth was a wonderful surprise just before a long flight. It felt like an embarrassment of riches to have to choose just a few things on the menu. We wanted to try it all! And everything we did try was a delight. Can't wait to return. Updated from previous review on 2026-04-15“

“It was fun going during the soft opening of Palmetto Superfoods in Burlingame (there are other locations in the Metreon, on Union Street, and on Clement Street in San Francisco, with another planned for Santana Row). I learned a lot by speaking with the super friendly and deservedly-proud owner. This location in Burlingame is a really cool little spot diagonally across from Safeway and has a sweet public rooftop sitting area. And I love that everything is plant-based except the honey and bee pollen, but they have a vegan apple honey — which is absolutely delicious — as a superior substitute. Anyway, with a choice of bowls (and smoothies), one could choose a set one on the menu or customize everything with unlimited bases and toppings — as long as it fits in whatever size bowl you choose (yup, I totally went large). I opted for the Bay Blend, but swapped out the strawberries (not really my thing) for toasted coconut flakes (most definitely my thing). The bowl was quickly layered by the friendly employee, who looked like she was excited for her next opportunity to surf, at least in my imagination. From the açaí, pitaya/dragonfruit, and chia pudding on the bottom to the banana and almond butter in the middle to the granola, blueberries, and toasted coconut, etc. on top, it was scrumptious and satisfying. Wanting to try a little more deliciousness, I decided to take a Midnight Beach smoothie to go. Now that I’m gone, I know I’ll be back!“

“Yan gon is a family own Burmese restaurant on broadway Burlingame. The owner and the entire staff were extremely friendly , attentive , courteous . helpful, and welcoming . Their dishes are delicious . I have tried their Burmese Style Curry Lamb , Singapore Street noodles, Deep fried Chicken Wings , and Wor Wonton Soup. All four dishes were delicious, but my favorite is the won ton soup . This soup is perfect , it's so healthy and brothy. The broth is so rich that left a long lasting mouthwatering and coating sensation lingering in my tongue. The wontons are so tasty , juicy , and flavorful with the right amount of , I believe was pork , ginger , garlic ,chopped onions , sugar, salt , pepper , and shrimps . . The shrimps were very tastey and fresh . It didn't have that strange scent of ammonia or fishy smell like spoiled shrimps . The restaurant is simple , bright , clean , casual ambience with ample seatings. I have been here many times and got seated right away. No wait . This restaurant is a must try if you have the craving for Burmese food or just want to try something new.“

The fried chicken we ordered didn’t quite live up to expectations, but the yakitori skewers were outstanding and definitely the highlight of the meal. “The moment you bite into any dish here, you KNOW it's fresh. What I loved the most was that each dumpling had sooo much meat in it and lots of flavor! They even have an open kitchen layout so you can watch them make the dumplings! If dumplings aren't your thing, definitely try their House Special Beef Noodle Soup and be sure to get the Marinated Beef appetizer. The garlic sauce it comes with is so good.

“I’m Thai and my family was in the restaurant business so I know Thai food. Our group of over 10 people dined here today. Food was great. It was a team event so we requested a prix fixe menu and budget control. The restaurant was very responsive and go above and beyond to help us with the arrangements. The menu options was good. From the cashier, to the cooks, and the server. And I even got a chance to meet the owner, Terri, who has taken over the business for the past 15 years! Definitely going to be a regular here! I ordered the vegetarian omelet! 😋“

“Food and service was incredible. The sushi and ramen was delicious. We went for a birthday party and brought a cake. Without us asking, the waitress offered to store the cake in their own fridge and even gave us new clean plates to eat the cake with after we ate our food. Now I have 2 reasons to go back. The food and the service.“

Waffle chicken is fabulous. The chicken is super crispy and seasoning is tasty. The syrup on the Waffle is very good.“

Took away a star for a somewhat odd service. We were repeatedly asked to clarify our order -we had ordered samosa and chai (snack) but strangely were served samosa chaat. Tasted great though.
The Idlies were also great . Would have loved a bit more of the chutneys and the sambar.

Also would be good to have drinks in non-disposable cups for sit-down orders.Would suggest considering non-plastic stirrers.

“Delicious sandwiches! And large! You could definitely split a sandwich between two and be full. But i like to just save it for later and eat the deliciousness again. Pretty good value too. Only reason I gave a 4 is sometimes the staff is a little cold/mean. I know they're always busy but I can't help but feel like I am bothering them when I order lol. Regardless--v recommended!“

“Found this when I look for Korean restaurant that serve noodle soup. This restaurant is next to hospital which I think in a good location. Next to it is boba shop which I saw some customer went to the the boba shop after their meals.
The interior is very simple, with couple tables and the dishes photo all over the wall which looks inviting.
The menu is pretty complete with many varieties of Korean dishes. We order Spicy Seafood noodle soup and Stir fried noodles with black bean sauce.
They give 3 type of banchan, daikon, beansprout and kimchi. The kimchi is sweet and later I saw it is from a big jar that you can get from grocery store. I wish they make it fresh in the restaurant. At least if have it from jar, don't show the jar.
The noddle soup is yummy but not spicy. the Stir fried noodle is served with hot iron plate. the presentation is good but I just feel it is too sweet.
The server is very nice and very energetic. Only one server serves all the tables.
Overall it was ok meals. May be next time we will try other dishes and wish they make the kimchi in house.“

“I travel to the Burlingame/Redwood City area about once a month so I like to try different places to eat. This was one of my favorites. Service was great and very knowledgeable. My server answered all my questions and made great recommendations based on my feedback. (I like spicy 🔥). I ordered the Vegetarian Samusas, Curry Chicken with coconut rice, and Pork Basil stir fry. It was all awesome & I have plenty for my lunch tomorrow. The parking is a bit tough, but it is on downtown Burlingame. But there are parking lots around with signs directing you.“

“A good meal with excellent service, however unlike other tasting menus there wasn't too much explanation of the dishes when they were presented. Also the space was cavernous which is fine, and we were at a booth, but since it wasn't crowded it seems to lack the intimacy I was looking for. More of a place to be seen vibe.“

“We arrived before our reservation time and they were able to accommodate. Our waiter was great with detailing the dishes and answering my culinary questions. Service was slow. It took nearly 25 minutes to receive cocktails. I had to inquire about appetizers which were ordered with cocktails. The GM was very present and walking the dining area but not speaking to any guests or acknowledging that they are waiting without drinks and food. The food was good. I have a different palate so my good may great for another person. The only negative was how long everything took when it wasn’t a night where there was a full house of guests. If that can improve, we may return. For context we ordered Smoked Bourbon Prickly Pear Margarita Calamari Crab & Artichoke Dip Crab Stuffed Sole topped with roasted garlic and shallot shrimp and a side of mashed potatoes Ribeye with compound butter and Cold Water Lobster Tail We switched from cocktails to wine with the main dish.“
