“It was cold out, the wind was coming off the bay and it was a damp wind, the kind that goes all the way down to your bones and make you think of having pot roast or a hearty stew for lunch....But no....she wants a salad....a salad, I said! A damn salad! Take this exit, she pouts out...we'll go to MoBowl and get a salad, they're the best in the area! You'll like it she said.
So when it's cold out, and you have your heart set on pot roast, and she says...it's salad! It's gotta be MoBowl.

“We had a great experience at Aziza. We came here for late brunch at 1pm on a Saturday.

The atmosphere in the main dining room is spacious and airy but a little plain. But the separate bar is simply stunning in decor. This space looks like an amazing place to grab a drink after work.

We ordered the following Moroccan inspired / flavored dishes:
- French toast - a beautiful thick egg coated piece of bread laden with excellent tangy blueberry sauce. Delicious.
- Avocado toast - a tasty and satisfying sprout laden avocado toast
- scrambled eggs - made with a dash of sumac and optionally, a very mild chili sauce. Well executed but not particularly memorable. It was only scrambled eggs.
- grilled prawns on a bed of polenta - perfectly done.
- date cake with a caramel sauce and toasted pecans. - simply delicious, but bring your sweet tooth!
- moroccan tea - very delicately flavored; perfect way to end the meal

The wine pairings available by the glass were good but not great.

Frankly the food was ALL delicious and high quality. And the service staff was gracious and excellent. We definitely will return.

If I had to change anything, it would be the following. Perhaps add one or two more vegan or vegetarian options, especially for mains.

“We walked in on NYE without a reservation and they graciously found us a spot in the bar area. Service was on point and staff were festively dressed! I love a crafty cocktail but most are too sweet. I had the Smokey mezcal cocktail 🍹. Perfection. Appetizers were delish as well. Perfect way to start our NYE celebrations.“

We ordered the classic pepperoni pizza, the classic cheese and bacon pizza, as well as the lasagna and carbonara. The pizzas were cooked to perfection, with a crispy and delicious crust. The pasta was cheesy and filling.“

I got especially excited when I learned the kitchen is fully gluten-free. Everything we ordered was a banger, their food (and drinks!) absolutely delivered.

If I had the money, I would try everything on the menu in one sitting. But I will be back to try everything in increments. It was so lovely there and my friend and I just really enjoyed ourselves in that space. I can’t wait to try the udon and the peach dessert. I forget our waiter’s name, but he had a mustache and he was so above and beyond, and deserves all of the tips that you could ever think of. Pretty much all the staff deserves all the tips and handshakes and blessings that you could give them because they all were so nice and welcoming and great at their jobs. “Really enjoyed my 3 course prix fixe meal at Spruce. It had been a few years since I'd dined there and it was as good as I remembered. I had the som come over and suggest 2 glasses to pair with the meal and they were truly lovely. The waiter (Ryan) made me feel special the entire evening, and the chef even came out to greet me. The thin sliced veal with a sauce and capers was delicious! The fried shrimp, veggies and olives/anchovies…also with a sauce was awesome as well. For my main, I had CRESTE DI GALLO - semolina pasta - wild mushroom ragu - spinach - ricotta salata. Our waiter was the best! I saved one of the sugar cookies from my deserts…Burnt Carmel Gelato. Mentioned it to our waiter and as we were leaving, I heard “Sir! Sir!” He brought me one of their meringue cookies to also share with my partner! I thought that was just awesome! Top notch food and customer service. We’ll be back!“

“I first heard about this place because Zendaya once mentioned it as one of her favorite spots in the Bay Area. After visiting, I can definitely see why it’s so popular. The bakery was busy, the bread was fresh, pastries were still warm, and everything smelled amazing. Whenever I visit a new bakery, I always order a croissant because that’s my way of judging how good a bakery is. This time, I got the chocolate croissant and a carrot muffin. The chocolate croissant was good, but not the best I’ve had in the Bay. I wish it had been flakier, with more layers and a richer buttery flavor. The carrot muffin was okay too. My mom liked it, but it just wasn’t my favorite. That said, the prices are affordable, and it’s still a solid bakery overall. So, I’d still stop by if I were in the area.“

carrot agnolotti: reminiscent of a cozy fall, had great spices and flavors. perfectly cooked pasta.

rainbow scarpinocc: the famous signature dish was tasty but honestly expected a little more. would still recommend though

porcini gnochetti sardi: highly recommend. creamy, rich, al dente pasta

budino: don’t typically like chocolate but wasn’t too sweet and decadent.“
