“We do mostly takeout here and keep returning because the food is great. My family’s general assessment is that their sushi is better than most in the area. But I wanted to highlight their excellent customer service. We had ordered a 3 item bento box in one of orders and one item was forgotten. When it was brought to their attention by phone, they reimbursed the entire bento box, no questions asked. Good customer service is hard to find these days and just wanted to make sure they were recognized for that on top of the great food!“

“I stopped at Millbrae Kebab and Gyros for the first time after finding the Italian deli nearby closed on Sunday. I ordered a beef gyro. It was expensive, small, and cold. I was the only customer, so I was surprised it wasn’t served hot. First visit—and last.
Still gave 5 stars, perhaps it is not always that way.“

“We were disappointed with our previous favorite Sichuan restaurant on our second visit there. We found this Michelin recommended restaurant as a replacement. We were very impressed. The quality was on par with the best restaurants in Asia, which is a rarity in the US. The beautifully photographed menu made item selection easy. The veggies even turned out better than the picture in the menu. They truly deserve all those awards on their wall. We will make it our regular chinese restaurant from now on.

“The Hainan chicken here is very good, and the noodle soups are also excellent. There’s a nice variety of dishes and plenty of appetizers to choose from, all at reasonable prices.

The restaurant has more of a casual neighborhood feel. It’s not a big place, but it’s clean and comfortable. The staff are polite, friendly, and efficient, which makes the overall dining experience very pleasant.
And most importantly — they have Hong Kong-style salted lemon 7-Up! 😄 Definitely a big plus for me.“

“Came here for a late lunch today and the food was fantastic. I ordered the beef stew with tendon at a “very mild” and it was amazing. The tendons were very soft, not overcooked or undercooked. The beef chunks were tender and juicy. The waiter was friendly and continuously refilled our water.

We also ordered the dim sum sampler and it comes with two xiaolongbao, two har gow, and two shu mai with shrimp. Perfect to share with two or three people. Each piece was cooked perfectly, skin was soft and not too sticky.

“My favorite dessert spot ever. You will have to see the amount of points in my reward account to understand my love for this store. Whenever I walked in the store, the coconut milk fragrance brought me right back to Vietnam. Chè is my fav dessert, so I am so happy that this store make chè in a pretty authentic way to make me feel less homesick.

This exact Bambu in Milbrae is my fav. I think they make the dessert better than the other location near Stonestown Galleria in SF. My go-to order is number 10 Bambu Special or something like that. The chewy pandan jelly and the red water chestnut jelly in number 10 is the best combo 🤤🤤“

“So nostalgic coming back to t4 as it was childhood memory for people that went to the near by schools like mills or BIS, their food and drinks are still very good.

Ordered snack combo and came back to get their tofu snack, freshly fried soft tofu so it’s piping hot and good with some sauces

Not to mention the employee here are very nice, the lady working the cashier kept offering if there’s anything else I needed when I eat in the store but had to bring some leftover to go with a Togo bag, even opening the bag and tried to bag it for me. That’s beyond boba shop level customer service 😆“

“The food was good. The portions are huge definetly intended for sharing. I was impressed with the service. When I asked if a menu item was vegetarian the waiter said it was not and directed me to a similar dish that was. He also told me he would change out the oil used in the kitchen, since meat had been cooked in it, even though I didn't ask or expect that level of service.“

(I initially thought it was $88 per person and was overly disappointed, but found out later it was $88 for all of us ?).We ended up ordering 3 other dishes, which brought our total closer to $200, but it was not bad. “Absolutely loved our experience at Tomokazu! Everything we ordered was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, especially in the sushi and sashimi. The fish was so fresh and buttery, and every piece tasted clean and high quality.

Some of the standouts for us were the sashimi, 49er roll, and beef short ribs. The sashimi was easily one of the highlights — beautifully cut and so fresh. The beef short ribs were tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Honestly, everything that came to the table was delicious.

What I also really appreciate about Tomokazu is how inviting the menu is. There are so many great options whether you want sushi, sashimi, grilled dishes, noodles, tempura, or something warm and comforting. It’s perfect for a group because there’s genuinely something for everyone.

The service was warm and attentive, and the restaurant has such a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. You can tell there is a lot of care behind the food and the overall experience.

Definitely a Burlingame gem and a place we’ll happily come back to. Highly recommend if you’re looking for fresh, high-quality Japanese food in the area!“

“Chicken Pho You is a small hole in the wall restaurant right along Broadway in Millbrae. Super convenient parking, and it was quite busy during the morning hours!
They have a few breakfast sets to choose from, and they're all very reasonably priced. I ended up getting the satay beef noodle, a classic Cantonese dish. There was a good amount of beef, and it delivered flavor wise!“

“We had one of the best experiences last night. Tim our waiter was one of the best we have had. He was able to find Sprite Zero for my wife's drink. He also delivered a warm chocolate chip cookie with a small scoop of ice cream for my wife even though it wasn't in the menu. His ability to go above the call of duty and not just say no I can't get that for you was so amazing it had to make sure it is recognized. Exceptional service needs to be acknowledge and rewarded. “Five stars for the Cantonese roast pork. We drive out from SF every time we want or need roast pork for anything. The skin is crisp without being tough. They use prime cuts of pork belly - you can see the five layers in the 五花腩, and they use thick cuts of it, with great balance of meat and fat. Reheats great in the toaster oven too, no need to air fry reheat for the skin to be crispy when reheating. All the other Cantonese things on their menu are solid too, but the roast pork is the star here. Top of class.“
