“I made an order for only one of my favorite dishes “38. Vietnamese Beef Stew Noodle Soup” Large size. The portion was huge and the taste was so good. The beef stew’s made perfectly the way I love it. I will definitely go back for it again and again. Thank you for making my day!“

“Super yummy gluten free pandan mochi waffle, taro milk and mixed berry macaron! Will come back for more snacks. Also, there's always somewhere to sit even with it's not the biggest place. The teenager at the cashier seemed a little lost, but maybe it was her first day :)
Dietary restrictions: The mochi waffles are gluten free and delicious!“

“Revisited this spot & still so good. Tried the vegan iced Thai tea for the first time and it was delicious!! The alternative is coconut milk fyi. My go to is the pork ban mi but most items I’ve had are good. A perf little spot after spending the day in Pacifica surf or hiking. Ps. Love that they are always blasting the jams in there!

“I've been here several times and the food is INCREDIBLE! I usually get the BBQ Chicken Sandwich and the Tofu Rolls which the person at the register recommended my first time. The Thai Tea is also great, and has a very rich flavor, though they don't offer the coffee jelly anymore. My husband usually gets the Tofu Over Vermicelli, which isn't on the menu but if you request they will likely make it. Love coming here!“

“Gao Viet has been bookmarked for awhile now and today was the opportune time to try it. I was in the area, needed to pick up dinner and traffic on 101 was backed up. 5pm was not busy, so I order a few things to try and placed an order for take out. Sugarcane drink, Banh Hoi with 4 items, 2 Giants prawns, and Banh Canh.
Sugar cane drink was fresh, maybe a little too much ice, but it was fine.
Giant prawns: they charge per prawn, which I was curious how big these prawns are. The seasoning and sauce was ok, I wished the sauce was packed separately, as it made the Banh hoa and veggies soggy by the time I got home. The prawn themselves were cooked right, but I wonder if the shell could be more crispy. As it was, I couldn't eat the shell. Overall, I do think these are overpriced in my opinion.
The Banh hoi was an appetizer with 4 varieties: eggroll, pork, shrimp paste on sugarcane and some other type of meat. Out of my order, this was my favorite. I love wrapping it in the lettuce and cilantro and mint herbs. One feedback is that it only came with one fish sauce container, which is skimpy for an appetizer order. My mom had to make more dipping sauce for us.
The Banh Canh was generous portion of pork and bones and quail eggs and shrimp. As it was a take out order, I reheated the broth when I got home so it would be hot. Noodles were good, broth was perfect.
So, maybe next time I would try dining in with friends for the full experience. I wonder if the wait will be long for dinner hours. I'd like to try more dishes and their special drinks.“

Over. Then it only set us back $40 each! We will be back often :)“

“The best bahn mi in the peninsula and debatably in the bay. I didn’t want to leave a review; because I wanted it to stay a hidden gem but now that I am moving out of San Mateo I will. Please try the grilled pork with pate, it’s the most popular one.“

“The sandwich is good. The overly sweet and commercial sauce masked the taste of the crispy chicken. Tasty roll with shrimp and fresh mint. Service that leaves something to be desired when placing the order. The lady who took our order should have had a smile and a friendlier approach. It was unpleasant. The restaurant has Wi-Fi but that is not accessible to customers. It was a categorical no to our request.“

“I love coming here for boba !!! It’s super cheap and good quality. I come here ALL the time just for the boba. Their sandwiches are super good and they also sell fresh hot bread for $1 a piece. I love the strawberry smoothie (they add whipped cream and fruit jelly), matcha latte and classic milk tea“

“The pho, noticeably fragrant. 20 hours of simmering evident in the deepness of taste, buttery from the marrow drawn from bones. Clean and translucent broth, an indicator of quality. The wait time, a result of perfectly boiled-to-order rice noodles. What’s missing in decor is over-compensated by taste. Come for a rare-find bowl of solid noodle soup — no frills, but very simply delicious.“

“Best sandwich ever in Excelsior area The bread is always crunchy and the meat is amazingly flavorful. My always choice is of course #6 grilled pork with well-seasoned meat and abundantly fresh veggies. #3 combination is also a should-try . It is what I believe the most traditional one. Besides these, a must-have is definitely Vietnamese ice coffee. It is made strong and sweet beautifully bringing me back the flavor which I always miss when being away from home. A strongly- recommended spot when you are in the area...“

“Booked a private event for my daughters birthday party and was blown away by the fabulous food and great venue. There was plenty of food and space for our multi-generational family. Easy to find, park, with handicap access. Thao and Monica were wonderful and answered my many questions to ensure all our needs were met!“

“I've been wanting to go here for a while now. I walked in and it was packed. The place was super busy. There were so many items to choose from, it was hard to not make my own sampler. The place is simply decorated but ig ready for a post. I was greeted right away and placed my order for to go.I ordered:1. Iced Vietnamese coffee - I was surprised it was made the traditional way, pour over. A lot of places nowadays just have it ready to pour over ice. This was the perfect pick me up for lunch. Sweet with just the right amount of punch.2. Fried egg rolls - So crispy, it doesn't even need the sauce. The wrapper they used was different and gave you an extra crunchiness.3. Grilled beef over rice with egg roll - The beef was super tender and flavorful. I liked that for once it didn't come with a salad but instead possibly picked carrots and daikon?Overall, the food was amazing. Service was fast and friendly. Didn't have to wait too long and the food was fresh. Highly recommend and I look forward to comimg back soon.“
“This is my favorite food stand at Stonestown. Today I got.the Lunar New Year special which had two large rice cakes that had mung bean, topped with braised pork, sprouts and green onions. I also had my weekly porridge which is also outstanding. Definitely comfort food!“

Kid-friendliness: They don’t mind kids. All types of families here.

“Best banh mi I’ve ever had! Must stop, will be returning immediately. The meat was excellently marinated and grilled. The bread was fresh and soft yet still maintained a little crisp on top. Filled with the perfect ratio and combo of cilantro, pickled carrots and daikon radish. This banh mi created a symphony in my mouth. Was beyond thrilled with every bit and moment of eating, enjoying, and loving this banh mi!“

“Came to try this place after noticing it while ordering Korean Fried Chicken next door. It's in the strip mall next to 280 on San Bruno Ave. Place is huge, a little dark, and I haven't seen it being crowded ever. Do note that they are closed on Sunday which is really weird for most Asian restaurant.
The food is decent but nothing special. Don't think the soup is from actual bone soup but with the price I don't expect them to. They however gives you a lot of meat for the price. I feel like I got a decent deal. Service is also good. You do have to pay at the counter.“

“Lovely mom and pop Vietnamese restaurant, but with nicer decor and ambiance. Very clean and relaxing atmosphere as well. There’s always this one
middle-aged lady and younger lady that are always present on weekends when we go, and our experience has always been consistently good; fresh and tasty entrees with good portions. Not super attentive but very helpful when asked. Just the way we like it.
Our favorites are the noodle soups such as the spicy beef and pork noodle soup (bun Bo hue), and rice or vermicelli variations of five spice chicken beef or pork. They’re all fabulous! Go a few doors down to Societea Teahouse for dessert.“

“Kevin's Noodle House is a mid-tier Vietnamese restaurant that is very popular and an anchor store for this plaza. They have a very good variety of dishes from soup noodles (pho, fat rice noodles and egg noodles) to rice plates and vermicelli bowls. Nothing stands out as unique though. They were really busy on a Friday for lunch with a small line outside. We had the #1, pho dac biet $13, #2 pho dac biet with beef balls $14.25 (L) and a wings $13. Everything tasted fine and the food came out fast. The staff here are hard working and I appreciate their service.“

“TLDR: food was great, price is very reasonableI got the beef dip banh mi and the flavor was very good, tons of flavor and a ton of great pickled veggies. I ordered and it came out in five minutes, beef banh mi and viet iced coffee was around $16 but the non beef banh mi is $8-$9 which is very fair prices for the city. Would definitely come back to try another sandwich“
“Honestly can't even complain. Perfect for late night food. Piping hot pho. Good flavor bbq pork. Even has beverages as well. Service can be a bit slow, but if you're going late at night you have nothing to worry about. Definitely will come back again if i get the late night munchies.“

“No complaints about the atmosphere, but I’m hesitant to give 5-stars. It feels like we’re visiting a restaurant in a developing country ? which is maybe appropriate and even considered authentic…
The noodles and broth were EXTREMELY salty, it overpowers all other flavors, could not finish because of the salt :(“

“I enjoyed coming here because they have cheaper price for Fresh Spring Rolls than the average market and their Wonton noodle soups is very good. Pho and Cambodian combo noodle soups are pretty average though. One plus point is this place is near my place so I don’t have to drive all the way to San Jose to get some good wonton soups. The minus point is their table and seats are quite cramped.
Vegetarian options: They do have veggies dishes, but you have to look for them
Dietary restrictions: Please tell the servers before ordering because some dishes contains nuts
Parking: Plenty of free parking lots in the shopping center
Kid-friendliness: Kid’s high chairs and utensils
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair entrance and roadside and tables“

“Ryte next door to Safeway on Monterey Ave. back in the day it use to be a very good family owned Chinese food spot. Now house by pho dong Huong. I don’t frequent the place but it is open late so comes in clutch at times.
The chicken pho is good with flavor, a little oily but not horrible. Some type of pho is usually the go to order here haven’t tried much else.
Also ordered the shrimp spring roll, with peanut sauce. They were also ok.
They are open late with consistent food and fair prices. Check em out on the late night hype!“
“Great food and nice people! It’s a family run/owned business. They have a wide selection at low prices! The pho is the best I’ve had in the SF Bay Area! Always a great choice of where to eat.
Nobody asked me to make this post, but this place is a hidden gem and I want people to know.“

“So this really is noodle soup vending machine! You push a few buttons and your piping hot noodle soup comes out of a slot in the box a minute later. And you know what? The food is surprisingly decent! So, while I would probably rate the food quality 3 stars overall, I'm giving this experience an extra star purely for the novelty and entertainment value.\n\nI ordered a black garlic ramen noodle soup and it was quite good! The noodles were reasonably springy and while the broth was a bit watery, it was flavored properly. The pork slices were surprisingly decent!\n\nAnd at $12 per bowl, you're not going to break the bank here!\n“

“I do not normally order anything from
a pho place besides their pho & their fresh spring roll!
But this visit was different because I tried out their papaya salad. Boy oh boy, I have never had the best papaya salad ever until that day! The sauce for it gave a good balance with the amount of papayas on the plate. The peanuts on the top was a good touch to it because when you have it all inside your mouth, the flavors explodes with pure goodness & the shrimp was the last touch because it just plated the dish. The papaya noodles had a good texture to them meaning it was crunchy & I happen to like that!“
“It's hard to describe how great this place is, I have been there twice and this is the valentine day lunch. Notice the little details, tiny mint leaves on one piece, tobiko on another. Everything is fresh and pops with flavor. You can really tell they care about the food they put out. If this was a regular restaurant in Belmont there would be lines out the door every day.“

“Well, it’s been years since I’ve eaten here last and it does have some mixed reviews. But we were seated quickly and menus came immediately as did water as requested. The waiter took our order very soon after our menu and the food came in fast in less than five minutes!! I had #31 beef stew with wide noodles and my partner ordered #55 b which was bbq pork with vermicelli and an imperial roll. They were both delicious and flavorful. My small bowl still had a lot of ingredients and the broth was excellent!! Can’t ask for much more than what!! We’ll be back for sure to try other dishes!“

“The food here is really, really good. I came here to eat out with a friend of mine and ordered the house garlic noodles, Dungeness crab, and imperial rolls. I can't say much about the service since they gave me and my friend lots of time to catch up, so depending on what you expect, it's pretty good. That's why I gave service 4 stars. Good, but not exactly outstanding. The atmosphere is really nice. I would personally sit on a patio if it's offered, but that's completely your choice.“
