“A pretty decent family owned Vietnamese restaurant. It’s been a while we saw traditional dripping coffee, so we really liked it. The taste was authentic. For the food, we ordered one Shrimp spring rolls, one Grilled pork ball spring rolls and one Pho Tai. Pho was decent, the broth was just okay. The other two dishes were good. But, I agreed the price was quite expensive compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I have tried.I think they kinda lack of staff because one lady took the job of waiter + cashier + preparing drinks, one uncle served food and cleaned up tables, and there seemed to be only one chef. Thus, it took a bit of time for food to be served. But, the lady was very nice. She chatted with us for a bit while serving our drinks and during checkout.Kid-friendliness: Kid’s high chairs and plastic utensils“
“Authentic Vietnamese food that is affordable. You know you're getting good food, when the hospitality is low. If you feel like you're not being attended to, this is a good sign. It is all part of the experience when eating at an authentic Viet restaurant. If you feel like your very existence pesters the staff, you know you're going to get some good food.“
“Tamarine is a upscale Vietnamese restaurant in Palo Alto. The last time I came here, I thought all of the dishes were amazing. After this time, I think it's a bit overpriced for the quality of food, but the service is definitely on-par. FOOD [3.5/5] =========== + Empress Rice (3/5) For the price of $15, I thought this dish was too expensive. It's great sticky rice but the seasoning is weak and the egg was overcooked. + Ha Long Bay Soup (3/5) I ordered this because the reviews said this was a really good soup but unfortunately I didn't really enjoy it at all. It was way too sour for my liking and we couldn't end up finishing the dish because it was just that sour. + Banh Mi Roti (3/5) The roti was great! The dipping sauce was okay. It wasn't as flavorful as I thought it would be. + Shaking Beef (4/5) Really tender beef. Was a little disappointed because even though the meat was cooked well, I thought this was a really simple dish for the price. SERVICE [5/5] =========== No complaints about service! They were very attentive, changed out our plates after every course with perfect timing, and very friendly.“
“The imperial pho is amazing, light, balanced, perfect portion... The beef while still mostly rare melts in your mouth. There's a few other standout menu items including the Shaken beef and tuna tartare. Still haven't tried a lot of the things on the menu, though, because the pho is too good to skipDietary restrictions: Most dietary restrictions seem to be accommodated with specific dishes and requests“
“I went to this place a couple days ago I had their Beef pho here and its good the only thing is that I feel like they need to improve on is the pho broth and service. The pho broth seems like it needed more flavor and more fish sauce. And they did not give me a soup spoon until much later but other than that its a decent place to get a nice bowl of pho. And the Ambiance is so calming overall a 4/5“
“Honestly so impressed with our entire dining experience here! The food was fresh and delicious with perfect textures and dimensions, the house made hot oil was awesome, the service was friendly, helpful, and quick, and the atmosphere was nice - low lighting, pretty wood accents, and not overly noisy. Do yourself a favor and try the Shanghai butter tofu appetizer. We will be back!“
“A great BYO Asian bowl spot on Stanford campus! The place is pretty popular with students, so there tends to be a line around lunchtime. Bowls are around $12, all meats are the same price. There is no seating inside, just grab and go, but there are some nice seating areas right outside.I had a salad bowl with half tocino and half panko chicken. Loved the texture and flavor of both meats, and the variety and amount of vegetables I got in my bowl. The tocino pork had a great sweet and savory flavor and the panko chicken was crispy and tender.Topped it off with the sriracha mayo sauce.Would definitely return to try their other protein options!“
“I had a birthday lunch here and it was delightful! It was 6 teenagers which is really intimidating for a lot of restaurants but the wait staff was kind and respectful. The FOOD WAS WELL PRICED AND DELICIOUS.For $20 u get an amazing bowl of Pho and the biggest plate of bazil and bean sprouts I’ve ever seen. (But to be fair there were 6 people it could depend on the ammount of people there)The atmosphere was delightful! The wood furnishing with green cushions was adorable and refreshing while not too fancy to be intimidating. Will be coming again to try the coffee!Thank you so much Pho Banh Mi for hosting my 18th birthday lunch :)Vegetarian options: I wasn’t paying attention much but they do have bangin vegetarian food“
“I have to write a review about this place as soon as I finish my dish. The food is sooooo gooood and the taste of every dishes that I ordered is exactly like in Vietnam. It makes my day because it has been long time since I can eat my favorite food that has the same Vietnamese taste. The staffs and service are great. The price is cheap with great portion. 11/10 “
“Update: Vegan pho has been brought back! Owners mentioned it was by popular request, and they also have a spicy noodle soup that's vegan. Happy to hear it's made a comeback. Old review: Unfortunately they no longer do vegan pho but don't seem interested in updating their banner or menu to reflect that. Bahn mi is only vegan with mayo removed, and so it's quite dry. Isn't the worst meal in a pinch but generally a bit disappointing. Updated from previous review on 2023-04-30“
“If you’re looking for a place with authentic Vietnamese cuisine, you’ve found it. The people here are kind and genuine. I have nothing but positive things to say about the culture they bring to this area. Do not miss out on an opportunity to eat here. Especially if you’re from out of town!Kid-friendliness: They don’t mind kids. All types of families here.Wheelchair accessibility: It’s all tables you can remove the chair from and put a wheelchair“
“Ordered house special noodle soup. It's Saturday afternoon around 3pm. Driving there was really IMPOSSIBLE. Parking lot was totally jammed by Costco customers and also the in/out of the parking lot. We were frustrated after spending 20 min just to get in, make a circle, then come out. Eventually, we parked a block away then walked to the restaurant.Parking: Next to Costco and all available parking spaces were taken (many of them were there for Costco for sure).“
“Was in town for a business trip and was craving Vietnamese food. Got the Bahn Xeo Chay and it was amazing! Not many places serve this dish so I pretty much always get it if it's on a menu. They did not skimp on the veggies and everything was super fresh. Completely vegan if that is what you are looking for. Plan to come back again if time allows.“
“This is an amazing place.I had a small bowl of chicken phó, but the small bowl was pretty big. I loved it. I was not able finish it. All the sides were served and sauces were on the table.I did not have to ask for anything extra, customer service was 10/10. The restaurant also deserves 10/10 for cleanliness.I dropped my napkin on the floor by accident and the nice gentleman saw, and brought extra napkins over to my table with out me asking. That was nice of him.“
“Right when we walked in, we immediately got greeted by a sweet lady. We weren't rushed or pressured to sit in and eat which I appreciated because some places are really hastily. Me and my boyfriend were waiting for his car to be done and decided to try their pho. It was all fresh and homemade which did alter the taste of the pho but it was still very good. We decided to try their thai tea as well and it was delicious! Overall I would definitely go back when in the area to try some other dishes:)“
“Usually get the banh mi sandwiches here that are very good with delicious bread and generous fillings. The price is more than usual for banh mi, but that’s the Ave for you. Strangely due to it being a Vietnamese cafe, they have a lot of Japanese curry dishes here as well.“
“This cute little cafe and bakery can be found right next door to Pho Banh Mi . If you're looking for a nice lunch or an afternoon pick me up, Green Bakery Cafe serves breakfast items, lunch entrees, desserts, and coffee. If you plan to get an entree, I recommend the Garlic Noodles! There is also lots of patio seating, which @hangrypringles approved* Vietnamese Dripped Coffee* Garlic Noodles w/ Beef* Tiramisu“
“A Hidden Gem in Los Altos when you need that broth and are not in San Jose !I stumbled upon this delightful mom and pop pho restaurant during a weekend work trip to Los Altos, and it turned out to be a real gem! As someone who appreciates genuine hospitality and authentic ingredients, I was thoroughly impressed by the warm welcome and the evident care put into every dish. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a friendly smile that instantly made me feel at home. The aroma of simmering bone broth filled the air, hinting at the comforting meal that awaited me. I opted for their classic pho, and it exceeded all expectations. The broth was rich and flavorful, a testament to the honest ingredients used in its preparation. Each spoonful was a comforting embrace, perfect for nursing my morning fogginess from the night before. What truly sets this place apart is its dedication to customer service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Their genuine warmth and attentiveness added an extra layer of warmth to an already delightful meal.Adding to the charm of this place is its cool cabin theme, adorned with wooden bears that give it a unique and cozy atmosphere. I love it. If you find yourself in Los Altos craving a taste of authentic Vietnamese cuisine made with love and care, this is the place to be.“
“I like their chicken pho mostly because the broth is not salty. And they give you extra condiments to make it salty and spicy to your preference. The chicken pho met my expectations. The restaurant setting is casual. The price is fair and competitive.“
“Levi's Stadium plaza on Thursdays. If one is craving musubi, it hits the spot! Have other creative selections to choose from, but opted for the traditional spam tamago musubi. The rice lacked the stickiness like Hawaii would have it and sauce a bit lacking. Other than that, solid.“
“Folks who go to Asian Box go because the food is reliable and tasty. This is NOT what this review is about (because it is still reliable and tasty). This review is for the service. Door Dash screwed up my order (not surprising) so after realizing that I was NOT going to get my Asian Box order delivered, I drove to the restaurant to place the order again. I spoke with Wendy, the Executive General Manager, and she was understanding, kind, and most importantly, professional. She immediately helped me with my order and expediated it so quickly, I should have just gone to the restaurant to place my order instead of relying on Door Dash. Also, I want add that their crew quickly put together 6 orders in 5 minutes. Go there if you want to be treated kindly and respectfully because fewer and fewer places nowadays seem to remember that service is just as important as food quality and taste.“
“We were craving a little snack one sunny Sunday afternoon and decided to give this place a try. We were surprised at how cute it was inside not your usual basic pho place. We were for two sandwiches Grilled Pork and Combo and beef spring rolls. Service was quick sandwiches were large portion could have easily split one but they were a little dry but we were still impressed that they were tasty as they were it's hard to find good bahn Mi on peninsula.“
“Great place to go to lunch or dinner on a whim. Their phó soup is very tasty, but my husband and I are particularly fond of their crepe, the fresh rolls, papaya salad, and I love the crispy noodles. Jasmine, the waitress that's usually there is a real gem. We love this place-definitely recommend“
