“The imperial pho is amazing, light, balanced, perfect portion... The beef while still mostly rare melts in your mouth. There's a few other standout menu items including the Shaken beef and tuna tartare. Still haven't tried a lot of the things on the menu, though, because the pho is too good to skipDietary restrictions: Most dietary restrictions seem to be accommodated with specific dishes and requests“
“I went to this place a couple days ago I had their Beef pho here and its good the only thing is that I feel like they need to improve on is the pho broth and service. The pho broth seems like it needed more flavor and more fish sauce. And they did not give me a soup spoon until much later but other than that its a decent place to get a nice bowl of pho. And the Ambiance is so calming overall a 4/5“
“Folks who go to Asian Box go because the food is reliable and tasty. This is NOT what this review is about (because it is still reliable and tasty). This review is for the service. Door Dash screwed up my order (not surprising) so after realizing that I was NOT going to get my Asian Box order delivered, I drove to the restaurant to place the order again. I spoke with Wendy, the Executive General Manager, and she was understanding, kind, and most importantly, professional. She immediately helped me with my order and expediated it so quickly, I should have just gone to the restaurant to place my order instead of relying on Door Dash. Also, I want add that their crew quickly put together 6 orders in 5 minutes. Go there if you want to be treated kindly and respectfully because fewer and fewer places nowadays seem to remember that service is just as important as food quality and taste.“
“We were craving a little snack one sunny Sunday afternoon and decided to give this place a try. We were surprised at how cute it was inside not your usual basic pho place. We were for two sandwiches Grilled Pork and Combo and beef spring rolls. Service was quick sandwiches were large portion could have easily split one but they were a little dry but we were still impressed that they were tasty as they were it's hard to find good bahn Mi on peninsula.“
“They always cater to all of our requests / restrictions that we have for gluten-free, dairy free and also onion free and garlic freeDietary restrictions: They always cater to all of our requests / restrictions that we have for gluten-free, dairy free and also onion free and garlic free“
“I went to the first store in San Jose and it was one of my top to go places to eat! And when I knew that they opened another in Palo Alto, I wanted to try this location out and it didn't disappoint! It was as amazing as the one in San Jose and the portions are really big and the taste is amazing. I was surprised how much I liked the beef with tomato rice. It's really different than other Vietnamese places I went before. But my to go dish is definitely the fried sticky rice with chicken! The sticky rice is so good and the chicken has amazing flavor but I wish there was more meat. However they charge you 18% service charge in the bill right away even if you don't have a big party. So the overall price is higher than you're normal meals!“
“Cute place with decent vegetarian options.Tried Tofu/Vegetarian Roll (4 pieces) and they tasted pretty good. Wish they could added more veggies though. Peanut Sauce was amazing! Also, the chili paste on the side was very fresh and tasted good. It’s honestly very expensive for the quantity they offered though :/Vegetarian options: Very few vegetarian options..“
“Fast, affordable, and really tasty! I had the 4c (bbq pork) and was not disappointed. The store had a lot of various treats and goodies that looked great as well (like homemade kimchi, etc). And just as an fyi there is no seating so it appears to be just a takeout place!“
“I wanted to go to this place based on the design and food. The food and service is great, but the problem is how the inside of the restaurant. It feels bland inside due to the choice of colors and there are hardly any decorations. It also feels hot inside too, but it’s probably because of the hot weather outside. There are rarely seatings here due to the size of the place. I really like the Pho, however. I wouldn’t really wanna dine here due to atmosphere. Maybe next time, I’ll just do a takeout.“
“Stopped by to pick up a few sandwiches since I’ve been craving banh mi. Staff was kind and welcoming and the inside was well kept and clean. Ordered the BBQ pork with everything and added a fried egg since that’s my go to. Bread was perfectly crunchy but not too hard that it hurts like mouth like some other places, and the flavors of the pickled vegetables and the pork were amazing! Definitely finished the whole sandwich and wanted more. Will be back next time to try the other varieties!“
“Never a line to get in and offers the fastest lunch service anywhere in the Bay Area if you order pho. Good quantity of meat and fresh basil, sprouts and a very juicy lime (or lemon)! Soup quality can vary day to day but is never bad, though some days are definitely better than others. Credit cards for orders over $20. ATM available inside. Large attached parking lot.Parking: Shared parking lot with a corner mall. There's always a space available.“
“A great BYO Asian bowl spot on Stanford campus! The place is pretty popular with students, so there tends to be a line around lunchtime. Bowls are around $12, all meats are the same price. There is no seating inside, just grab and go, but there are some nice seating areas right outside.I had a salad bowl with half tocino and half panko chicken. Loved the texture and flavor of both meats, and the variety and amount of vegetables I got in my bowl. The tocino pork had a great sweet and savory flavor and the panko chicken was crispy and tender.Topped it off with the sriracha mayo sauce.Would definitely return to try their other protein options!“
“I had a birthday lunch here and it was delightful! It was 6 teenagers which is really intimidating for a lot of restaurants but the wait staff was kind and respectful. The FOOD WAS WELL PRICED AND DELICIOUS.For $20 u get an amazing bowl of Pho and the biggest plate of bazil and bean sprouts I’ve ever seen. (But to be fair there were 6 people it could depend on the ammount of people there)The atmosphere was delightful! The wood furnishing with green cushions was adorable and refreshing while not too fancy to be intimidating. Will be coming again to try the coffee!Thank you so much Pho Banh Mi for hosting my 18th birthday lunch :)Vegetarian options: I wasn’t paying attention much but they do have bangin vegetarian food“
“Order takeouts from here at least twice a month. Their bbh is flavorful and the broth is more on the sour side (which I personally like). Their meat also tastes fresh. The pork chop rice is also great and the pork chop tastes chargrilled, which I also like. The pho broth tastes good as well and not bland like some others around the area.“
“If you’re looking for a place with authentic Vietnamese cuisine, you’ve found it. The people here are kind and genuine. I have nothing but positive things to say about the culture they bring to this area. Do not miss out on an opportunity to eat here. Especially if you’re from out of town!Kid-friendliness: They don’t mind kids. All types of families here.Wheelchair accessibility: It’s all tables you can remove the chair from and put a wheelchair“
“The BEST banh mi sandwich I have ever had in the TBread special It was a party in my mouth. The bread was fresh and crusty and all the ingredients in the sandwich were perfectly complemented. I will be thinking about this one for a long time!“
“Pho combination:The pho here is very underwhelming. For the price you pay, you would expect it to be better. Looks nothing like their picture. The meat is good, but the broth is very fatty. I would pass on getting the pho here.Shaken Beef Garlic Noodle:The shaken beef garlic noodle is good here. It's probably one of the better dish. The meat is probably the best shaken beef I had. The garlic noodles is interesting.Service:There is no server. There are kiosk to order your food. The kiosk as for tips, which I gave for whoever has to bust our table. There was guy that brought us our food, which I wasnt expecting.Seating:There's inside and outside seating. Majority of the seats is metal.Parking:The restaurant shares with the plaza. Parking can get challenging during busy time.“
“This used to be a Burger King and awesomely they still have the drive-through going on but I have not utilized it yet for pho. They did a good job of shaping up the interior and the drab windows are even tinted with color now.I liked the broth of the beef pho and it came with a good amount of meat and green onions surprisingly. The noodle portion was on the small side. They add an automatic 10% service fee which is fine as I would at least tip that much but just FYI in case anyone didn't notice and take that into account before tipping more.“
“Absolutely yummy tea shop ?. These drinks are an experience in itself! I had the lavender milk tea with red bean and my partner had the mocha coffee with boba. Both drinks were incredibly delicious! My new number one spot, I want to try their entire menu. ?“
“Ordered house special noodle soup. It's Saturday afternoon around 3pm. Driving there was really IMPOSSIBLE. Parking lot was totally jammed by Costco customers and also the in/out of the parking lot. We were frustrated after spending 20 min just to get in, make a circle, then come out. Eventually, we parked a block away then walked to the restaurant.Parking: Next to Costco and all available parking spaces were taken (many of them were there for Costco for sure).“
“Pro:Excellent go to spot for Bún bò Huế.Very friendly staff.Consistent food and fast service.Water carafe for the table is a major plus.Dining is always a great experience.Take out is quick and well packed.Con:Restaurant is in a very busy lot with other food establishments and a large grocery store. Parking is pretty tough on the weekends.“
“This is an amazing place.I had a small bowl of chicken phó, but the small bowl was pretty big. I loved it. I was not able finish it. All the sides were served and sauces were on the table.I did not have to ask for anything extra, customer service was 10/10. The restaurant also deserves 10/10 for cleanliness.I dropped my napkin on the floor by accident and the nice gentleman saw, and brought extra napkins over to my table with out me asking. That was nice of him.“
“I've been here a few times. For dine in and take out. Typically get the chicken pho, spring rolls or brisket phi. All are delicious. Generous portion. Quick service.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly place. Nothing specifically for kids but a casual enough environment that the little ones will be comfortable. Saw quite a few families with kids last time I went.“
“The pho is slightly above average, but the service is above and beyond expectations and better than any other pho places we've experienced. Their red spicy sauce is different from sriracha sauce but very good, but if you want the regular Sriracha sauce, you can ask for the sauce packets. Note that they automatically charge you 18% gratuity, and it's correctly based on the pretax amount, so it's actually less than the 20% I usually give. The fried chicken pieces are a bit scrawny with too much fish sauce and the dessert drink beans were whole and not that sweet. But again, the service was excellent and very impressive.“
“We came here to have a quick lunch. Food came fast and the order was correct. The broth was well balanced and quite good. I can rate the broth on how many items I need to add to the broth to get it to my taste, and I didn’t have to add anything to make it taste good. I would like to come back and try other items as they have other items such as vermicelli dishes as well. I have bookmarked this place for a return trip!“
“I came here on the recommendation of a friend and the pho here is really delicious.I didn't understand what the other opinions said about the noodles being overcooked, maybe it was that one time (I think they had the option to tell the waiter about the problem, and they would have fixed it).We received the noodles just right and I made a mistake when I ordering something for a child of my family and they helped me make the solution very kindly.“
“Honestly one of my favorite pho spots in the South Bay! The staff were nice and friendly. I ordered the pho #1 combination which is my go to when I come here. It has everything from tripe, tendon, brisket, steak, meat balls, and ox tail. Yum! The broth was literally made out of ox tail and you can taste the freshness of the soup. You can tell it has been cooking for hours. The meat was so tender as well. My friends and I also ordered the spring rolls, which was so fresh and delicious.“
“This cute little cafe and bakery can be found right next door to Pho Banh Mi . If you're looking for a nice lunch or an afternoon pick me up, Green Bakery Cafe serves breakfast items, lunch entrees, desserts, and coffee. If you plan to get an entree, I recommend the Garlic Noodles! There is also lots of patio seating, which @hangrypringles approved* Vietnamese Dripped Coffee* Garlic Noodles w/ Beef* Tiramisu“
“I'm very grateful for to have some Vietnamese options here in little ol' Newark. There's plenty of parking nearby and seating inside.Their Chao (Vietnamese congee/porridge) is the first thing that I think of when I'm feeling under the weather. My go-to is the pork and deserved duck egg. It's the perfect texture and combination of flavors. There's quite a bit of thinly sliced ginger that you have to sift through if you're like me and prefer not to chew on it, but it does add to the flavor.I've also had their chicken wings in the past, and it didn't disappointment.“
“A Hidden Gem in Los Altos when you need that broth and are not in San Jose !I stumbled upon this delightful mom and pop pho restaurant during a weekend work trip to Los Altos, and it turned out to be a real gem! As someone who appreciates genuine hospitality and authentic ingredients, I was thoroughly impressed by the warm welcome and the evident care put into every dish. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a friendly smile that instantly made me feel at home. The aroma of simmering bone broth filled the air, hinting at the comforting meal that awaited me. I opted for their classic pho, and it exceeded all expectations. The broth was rich and flavorful, a testament to the honest ingredients used in its preparation. Each spoonful was a comforting embrace, perfect for nursing my morning fogginess from the night before. What truly sets this place apart is its dedication to customer service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Their genuine warmth and attentiveness added an extra layer of warmth to an already delightful meal.Adding to the charm of this place is its cool cabin theme, adorned with wooden bears that give it a unique and cozy atmosphere. I love it. If you find yourself in Los Altos craving a taste of authentic Vietnamese cuisine made with love and care, this is the place to be.“
“I like their chicken pho mostly because the broth is not salty. And they give you extra condiments to make it salty and spicy to your preference. The chicken pho met my expectations. The restaurant setting is casual. The price is fair and competitive.“
“This was my first time there. I kinda found it by accident. It proved to be a great accidental find!I had the vegan fish sandwich with aioli sauce. The sandwich was really good and it was loaded with vegetables. It tasted so much like fish I had to ask the owner what the fish was made of. As it turned out the vegan fish is made room tofu and imported from Taiwan. I know firsthand that Taiwan is known for making mock meats from soy that taste like the “real” thing. The owners appear to be upgrading the restaurant. So the aesthetics were not quite there yet.But the sandwich I had tasted really good and that was the most important thing for me. I do recommend it for a quick bite (no pun intended). And I also plan to come again next time I’m in Mountain View.Five stars on taste and presentation for me. I hope this review helps.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian friendly“
“A pretty decent family owned Vietnamese restaurant. It’s been a while we saw traditional dripping coffee, so we really liked it. The taste was authentic. For the food, we ordered one Shrimp spring rolls, one Grilled pork ball spring rolls and one Pho Tai. Pho was decent, the broth was just okay. The other two dishes were good. But, I agreed the price was quite expensive compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I have tried.I think they kinda lack of staff because one lady took the job of waiter + cashier + preparing drinks, one uncle served food and cleaned up tables, and there seemed to be only one chef. Thus, it took a bit of time for food to be served. But, the lady was very nice. She chatted with us for a bit while serving our drinks and during checkout.Kid-friendliness: Kid’s high chairs and plastic utensils“
“Food was very good, portions were generous, restaurant felt clean. Service was good, you walk in ordered and pay at the counter and find a table. They will bring the food to your table. I may be out of touch with the going prices but it seemed a bit pricey although we all did enjoy our meal and would come back because of that. We had the grilled pork rice plate, combination bun, med size pho #1, a can of coconut juice, an order of fried chicken wings for $76. I would recommend.“
“Vegan options were delicious. I ordered the spicy vegan noodle soup and my boyfriend got the vegan vermicelli. Portion sizes were huge! I really enjoyed my meal.Rating 4 stars because we weren’t really attended to after food was brought out. Wish they would’ve at least refilled our waters.“
“Great place to go to lunch or dinner on a whim. Their phó soup is very tasty, but my husband and I are particularly fond of their crepe, the fresh rolls, papaya salad, and I love the crispy noodles. Jasmine, the waitress that's usually there is a real gem. We love this place-definitely recommend“
“Levi's Stadium plaza on Thursdays. If one is craving musubi, it hits the spot! Have other creative selections to choose from, but opted for the traditional spam tamago musubi. The rice lacked the stickiness like Hawaii would have it and sauce a bit lacking. Other than that, solid.“
“Their prices have gone up since we've visited last, but their sandwiches still hit the spot. Their boba is okay. I don't think I'd come here for boba though. Vietnamese sandwich cravings, yes, definitely will be back. Parking is okay. Spots are a little tight, but it's never too busy anyways. This place is definitely just a small cafe to order food and drinks to go. No tables to eat on.“
“Great place for a Viet coffee and banh mhi at decent prices. I like their #2 cha lua and #7 thit nuong (warm). My only complaint is the music they play. It isnt bad but Viet love songs are so damn sad that my GF started crying during our meal which kinda ruined our lunch.“
“Authentic Vietnamese food that is affordable. You know you're getting good food, when the hospitality is low. If you feel like you're not being attended to, this is a good sign. It is all part of the experience when eating at an authentic Viet restaurant. If you feel like your very existence pesters the staff, you know you're going to get some good food.“
“I usually don’t write food reviews, but this restaurant is awesome and become my go-to dog place. I have ordered pickup order three times! My fav combination would be brisket, tripe, and steak, but they don’t have this pho combination in the online portal, so I left a note says if they can add tripe as an add on option, then when I picked it up, I found that they have put tripe in my order!!’ Surprise!!! Definitely 100 score on the customer service!!!!!“
“Ryan the Lee’s Sandwiches Sunnyvale location owner was there on a Sunday morning at 8am to take my order or a party plate of a dozen sandwiches and 8 Vietnamese coffees! Love it and great experience. Got me the goods for my drive home to So Cal “
“The Pho at this place is amazing! I’ve tried Pho in many different states in the east and west coast, and also in other countries. But none of them can beat The House of Pho in Sunnyvale - CA.The place is simple, but the main reason we come here is for their delicious Pho ?I also recommend their coconut pineapple smoothie!“
“The service is very good and so is the atmosphere! Great for meeting people. The food is good as well - highly recommend the clay pot cod and the lamb chops!! Appetizers (specifically the roti, calamari, and spring rolls) are an absolute must here.“
