“Vpho is a fantastic place to enjoy delicious pho and more! They recently remodeled, and it looks really nice inside—modern and inviting. One thing that sets Vpho apart is that they don't cram their tables together like some other Asian restaurants, so you have plenty of space to relax and enjoy your meal. Plus, there's lots of parking available, which makes getting there easy. The restaurant itself is clean and well-kept, which adds to the pleasant dining experience. I tried the Chicken Wing with mild spicy sauce, and it was surprisingly good—tender and flavorful. The Beef Bone Pho was outstanding; the meat practically fell off the bone, and the soup was warm and yummy—perfect for a chilly day. Although I didn't try it this time, they have a cocktail menu, which sounds intriguing for my next visit. The restroom is nicely remodeled, but it could be cleaner, which is something they might want to improve. Overall, Vpho gets five stars from me for its delicious food, comfortable atmosphere, and great service. It's definitely a place I'll be returning to!“

“Its a good place. A little $expensive$ but not bad at all. My husband and I devoured the spicy beef pho and shaking beef. The beef was juicy and tender and the pho’s broth was so savoury and comforting. Would be coming back for the pho!“

“Old school pho, bun, hu tieu, cha gio (sorry no accents). Welcoming place, you are seated quickly and food brought to your satisfaction. The beef pho is a nice broth kind of a mix of Northern and Southern flavors, you can request nuc beo (beef skimmed fat) to add a richer flavor. There are also different beef cuts to choose. We like the egg roll (cha gio) comes with lettuce and mint for a great texture. My sister likes the rice dishes. Parents like the pho brought home to them and will take a couple of days to finish. Service is always kind and efficient.“

“Tiny shop. There are a couple tables but not enough for a typical lunch crowd. Packed with toys and candy and knick-knacks. Quick service when it was just me there, quicker than other places.
It is the standard sized roll you see in this area for Vietnamese sandwiches.
And... the price was great. For less than any other places in the area although maybe a tiny bit lighter on the fillings. Didnt bother me, still was a much better value than any place I've been to in years.“

“This is the best pho I have eaten since I worked in the peace core in Vietnam. The broth is delectable. The meat is succulent the veggies add a fresh crunch and aroma that you just can’t get at other local pho restaurants in the area. The pricing is affordable. The portions are mega. If you get the large and I honestly wish that I could dispense the broth out of my nipples because then I would have the delicious taste of Pho long Thinh with me at all times. Just get the #2 large bowl of pho, and thank me later.“

“If I’m in the mood for Pho or a Banh mi, this is the first place I head to. The broth of the pho is rich, flavorful and has clearly been simmering for hours. The Banh mi are made with the correct crunchy French bread, giving you a real substantial sandwich to wrap your lips around. The vegetables are always super fresh and crunchy too.“

“So the first time I went in Nov, found out that they only serve it with 1 egg instead of 2 that’s advertised. Still a lot of food for $20. Mine was really oily compared with my hubby’s, so I wasn’t able to clean my plate off with the bread. Came Dec on a Fri at 1p am they were closed! So bummed!! Craving for it all weekend so came back on Monday and had to wait a while bc they ran out of bread and had to go out to get more. Then found out afterwards that they substituted my xu mai for a piece of spam!! Oh well. Still yummy. Gave them one less star for the inconsistency. You order at the counter and they give you buzzer to come back in 10-15 mins to pick up. Not much of a customer service, 1 lady and 1 man working, since they are so busy cooking it fresh to order hot and sizzling for the cold food court, lol. It’s a great $20 meal that comes with hot tea and salad too!“

“We discovered this gem by accident while passing by on a road trip, and oh, it was incredible.
You get so much value for any dish you order. The Bun Bo Hue with the short rib was so tender, the meat simply fell off the bone! The bone was about 10 inches long too .Their broth is also super flavorful, probably because of the fermented fish they add into it.
The pho was tasty on every level, and the tripe and tendon were super soft too. We could barely finish our bowls.
Service was quick and friendly, especially our server Yen. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
We will definitely show up again!“

“This authentic Pho cafe had a busy atmosphere with many people dining in & picking up. The place didnt look too shabby nor displaced in any way. They had Viet music when we arrived (which are the best), Noticed there were older folks running the place, bussing tables and taking orders along with serving the tables. If I had to guess this place may have been here for a bit. Maybe thats why its busy the time we stopped by. The food was medium bold, but the bowl was a bit smaller than what im used to. The priced average with every pho place out there. Plenty of veg to add to the bowl and was nice and clean from what I observed. Would I come back? Yes, no doubt. Would I recommend yes. Why the 4 stars again medium bold taste with smaller size pho bowl than usual. But worth to discover and add it to your list of go to's. BTW many other dishes were offered. Some come try it out and fill this place up, REGULARLY.“

“I like pho and this places serves it really well!
Got the house special selection large size and it came out really fast. Comes with all the ingredients you would expect from an excellent pho. There were a lot of noodles in there and the broth was super tasty! The beef was also quite enjoyable. I would definitely come back to eat more pho.
Parking: Parking right in front of the door.“

“Your local, not-so-hidden gem. If you're into fresh tofu, soy milk, or legit viet snacks, Hung Vuong Tofu is the spot.
Tucked away in an unassuming plaza in San Jose, this place is small but always busy and for good reason.
This no frills spot is basically a grab and go. The service is fast and efficient but don't expect an amazing atmosphere and sit down vibes. This is not what the spot is about.
Their house made tofu is amazing. The silken tofu is sooooo silky. The fried tofu is crispy on the outside and custardy on the inside. Don't forget to grab soy milk, as well.
Overall, this is a great spot to get your tofu and soy milk in San ose.“

“I originally wanted to try a different pho spot, but the line was way too long so I decided to give Pho This Way a try instead — and I’m glad I did. “Very good Vietnamese food, very clean, fresh, delicious, with such great, great service! Family style meals! Would recommend to all. Must try all of the other many dishes here asides from always ordering the lettuce wraps with the meat rolls, still can't remember what this dish's name is though I've been told, like, 20 times. Horrible memory. Hot tea is very good too!
I don't think they have pho or bun, just an FYI.
In the Milpitas Center Shopping Mall strip mall with Paris Baguette, Daeho, Jang Su Jang, Grocery Outlet, etc.“

“I recently visited Quan Hue Restaurant, and it was a truly enjoyable dining experience that left a lasting impression. From the moment I entered, the restaurant had a warm and welcoming atmosphere that reflected authentic Asian charm. The setting was clean, comfortable, and well-arranged, making it a great place for both casual meals and family dining.
The food was the highlight of my visit. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The restaurant clearly focuses on authentic taste, with well-balanced seasoning and rich, satisfying flavors. Each bite felt carefully crafted, and the variety on the menu offered plenty of options for different preferences. Whether you enjoy traditional dishes or want to try something new, there is a good selection to choose from.
The customer service was equally impressive. The staff members were polite, attentive, and very helpful throughout the visit. They took the time to explain menu items and offered useful recommendations based on personal taste. Their friendly attitude made the dining experience even more enjoyable and comfortable.
Another strong point was the overall cleanliness and organization of the restaurant. Tables were neatly arranged, the dining area was well-maintained, and everything felt hygienic and professionally managed. Even during busy hours, the service remained smooth and efficient.
What truly stands out about Quan Hue Restaurant is its consistency in delivering quality food along with excellent service. It offers a peaceful and pleasant environment where guests can truly enjoy their meals without rush or discomfort.
Overall, Quan Hue Restaurant is a great choice for anyone looking for authentic, delicious food in a welcoming setting. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to visiting again to explore more dishes from their menu.“

“A pretty solid pho restaurant in the area. The building is pretty unique, that's all on its own area in a plaza and it looks like a lot prettier prior to a renovation of some kind. It looks that they deleted off some of the walls and redid some of the seating and the colors of a little more muted too. At least there's a gumball machine. Speaking of which, they have an extensive menu with a lot of pho and rice dishes and even some sandwiches and even milk tea! I had to shaken beef and it came with some french fries that were crinkle cut and was not too bad! It was a little chewy even with the meat but it's okay, at least the onions and bell peppers wernt raw or anything else. I absolutely love their spring rolls! It's got the normal feelings like the noodles and the bean sprouts and the shrimp and chicken, but they also put a Chinese donut stick inside too! That made it a little crunchy and I really liked that! The price was also pretty good for the quantity that you received, which wasn't the same that I could say the same for every other dish here at $6. The shaken beef was $17... They also had a milk tea for $6. All of this was pretty easy to order and because there wasn't a lot of people today on a weekday service was really fast and easy. Payment is also easy too as you get up from your table to pay as well as obtain any takeout boxes as needed.“

“December 2025 - BEST Bún Chả in the Bay Area. This iconic grilled pork dish, a specialty from North Vietnam, can be found at this family run counter in the Lion Plaza Food Court.
I only come here for my Grilled Pork with rice noodle and fresh herbs. Their special Fish Sauce is what makes this dish so good. Together with the grilled pork aroma, the sauce brings out a deep and sweet harmony in every bite.
For an authentic taste of Vietnam Northern cuisine, this is the place to go to.“

“Best value and banh canh in san jose. Those of you who aren’t familiar with this dish, it is a a udon noodle Vietnamese soup. It’s a thicker broth than pho and comes with different meat options , like seafood, pork bones, pork blood etc. I love it with fried fish and pork. I’m salivating just thinking about this even though it’s 100 degrees out.“

“This place is a fantastic spot for authentic Vietnamese food! The moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere and the smell of fresh herbs and spices made me feel like I was in Vietnam. I ordered the pho and the spring rolls, and both were amazing—the broth was rich and flavorful, and the rolls were fresh and crispy. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable, which is always a win. The staff was friendly and attentive, though the service was a bit slow, probably because it was busy. The only downside was that the place is pretty small, so finding a table during peak hours can be a challenge. Also, the parking situation wasn’t great, so I had to circle around for a bit. But honestly, the food more than made up for it. If you’re craving real Vietnamese flavors, this is the spot!
Vegetarian options: Yes, there are a few vegan options on the menu, like vegetable pho and vegan spring rolls, but the selection isn't huge.“

“Been wanting to try this spot for the longest but feel like I would be let down because Nam Vang on Alvin is elite and always a sj staple. Eventually gave it a shot because my brother went give his opinion. Came on a Monday around 5pm. No one in sight... we were the only ones there, which wasn't a good sign, service was great though.
Overall clean and your standard Vietnamese restaurant.
To the food! Man the #1 was honestly as good or little better than nam vang. I did it with broth today since my body needed some thing soupy from the weekend. Meat was very tender, soupy was cleansing my soul, and a lot of flavor from the dried shrimp and ground pork. Chinese donut was fresh it felt like. Only thing the meatball was not sticking together as much as I like (I like Nam vang meatballs better)
Glad I have this place a shot. Probably will go here again soon to try the non broth one.
Also heard it could be same family as owner of Nam Van, which would make sense.
I don’t understand why this place not busy. Maybe location issue. Feel like restaurants there don’t get enough foot traffic“

“Some restaurants have a great first year. Some have a great decade. Khanh's somehow keeps delivering year after year, and that's what separates them from the pack. The consistency here is almost ridiculous. Whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth, the food shows up with the same quality, flavor, and attention to detail every time.
The service is in a league of its own. The owners are hands-on, genuinely care about their customers, and make you feel like a regular even if you aren't one. In an era where good service feels like a disappearing art form, Khanh's continues to set the standard.
And while plenty of restaurants are busy copying what already works, Khanh's keeps innovating. They regularly introduce unique dishes and flavors that you simply won't find anywhere else in the Bay Area. The famous beef rolls are still legendary, the spring rolls remain among the best around, but it's their willingness to keep evolving without sacrificing quality that keeps people coming back.
There are a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in the Bay. There is only one Khanh's.“
