Bui Vien Street Food Reviews
Best Canh Cua in the bay area as of July 20, 2026. Best.
Yummy
I saw a this restaurant on Instagram and it was my type of food and I had to try it right away. There were so many dishes on their menu I wanted to try. I came here mostly for the sticky rice since I’ve always been a big fan of that dish. There’s no restaurant in the Bay Area that sell them, so I had to drive 40 minutes to this restaurant, but it was worth it! Everything tasted really good! I came back a second time for takeout! Would highly recommend this place!

Bui Vien Street Food is a newer restaurant located in a busy plaza, and parking can be quite difficult to find, especially on weekends. The menu is interesting and offers a wide variety of Vietnamese street food, including some truly delicious signature dishes. Some enjoyable dishes include sun ga rang muoi, xoi ga, banh hoi, goi bo, and com chay. The savory steamed rice cake was fresh and hot, the salted plum seltzer was refreshing, and the dry knock noodles was tasty. The sausage rolls were ok, and the peanut sauce was a bit bland. The sausage for the banh hoi rolls had great texture but not enough flavor. Dishes are hit or miss, but the restaurant is among very few in the Bay that offer such a wide variety, and some are very hard to find elsewhere. The menu is always updated with trendy dishes. The service is always prompt, friendly, and full of enthusiasm. It is a great spot for a group of friends to hang out, relax, and enjoy some street-style food together.
