“I’ve been to a lot a pho places and I must say the pho here is really good! I got the rare steak and beef ball pho. It was tasty, flavorful and not greasy. It was very busy when I came in but I got a table after waiting about 10 minutes or so. I ordered their Vietnamese ice coffee with boba and it was delicious as well!“

“Was looking for late night food that wasn’t fast. This place was busy with plenty of patrons. Dining space was bright, clean, and casual. Ordered a regular size bun bo hue. The large would have been too big. Bowl came out and the portions were generous. Rice noodles, blood pork, brisket, cha lua (steamed pork), even pork hock! Had high expectations, but alas the soup left something to be desired. Broth was spicy, salty, but I missed the fermented shrimp paste flavor that should be there. Otherwise, this is a great place to have a late night Vietnamese meal. Next time, I will have to try the laksa.“

“I find this particular spot to be much more preferable than the Westlake location. While I've enjoyed better Pho at other establishments, what truly makes me appreciate this place is their remarkable speed, exceptional efficiency, and surprisingly affordable prices. This makes it a very convenient choice whenever I'm in need of a quick and casual dinner or lunch with friends. Unfortunately, parking is a definite challenge.“

The lady serving us was very nice and helpful.

The Thai Milk Iced Tea was pre-mixed (usually a non-starter for me) and was very sweet. Daughter loved it, me not so much. While convenient for the restaurant, feel its better to not have a pre-mixed thai tea so the customer can adjust the level of sweetness.“

“The fall here is incredible and I've been getting it every week for the past 6 weeks to ease my tummy as I have IBS. Sometimes. The pho is a tad on the sweet side, but it is consistent and delightful. The service is always really attentive at the beginning and once you have your food they kind of leave you alone, which I like.

The atmosphere is standard for what you'd expect from a mom and pop Vietnamese pho spot, but a little subpar for my tastes“

The gentleman on the phone was very polite and professional, he gave me a few recommendations, and even though I don’t eat raw meat, he offered to cook it completely instead. “We had the famous crab, fish fillet, and garlic noodles. The crab was fresh, but honestly, nothing too special about it. The fish was moist and fresh, and the garlic noodles were definitely my favorite.

Overall, I felt the food was a bit overpriced for what they serve. The flavors were just okay and the service was pretty average. Maybe worth trying once, especially for the famous crab, but I wouldn’t say it’s a must visit.“

“I can only second what has been said about this place. Great Banh Mi! Crusty yet soft bread packed with delicious meat, veggies, and traditional banh mi condiments. This is one of my favorite types of sandwiches and I will definitely come back to Banh Mi Viet Diamond.“

“Good takeout spot if you’re in the neighborhood! I ordered the BBQ chicken and garlic noodles combo to go. The portion was generous for the price, with a good serving of garlic noodles and two chicken thighs. The garlic noodles were absolutely delicious, and the chicken was good as well. The three pieces of broccoli were extremely undercooked, almost raw.

I forgot to request utensils when placing my online order, and when I asked for host for some, he told me to “pay attention next time”, then didn’t even give me a fork - might’ve just caught him on a bad day.

Overall, I’d come back for the garlic noodles and to try more of the menu!“

“I live only a block away from several very popular Vietnamese restaurants in the Tenderloin. This is a great choice despite located in it's kinda interesting Tenderloin neiberhood. Super hot pho tai! Quick service, and if you want cold water, they bring a nice pint in a big plastic thermos container. Love it every time.“

“I really liked the Thai Ice tea. Some places fill your whole cup with too much ice. This place had just the right amount of ice not overly icy just enough and enough condensed milk in there and not overly sweet. I really enjoyed it and I would definitely buy another tie ice tea every time I walk by that place. I ordered the chicken fresh bowl and it was fantastic. Very light. It had noodles, fresh veggies, and chicken, cilantro and you could top it off with fish sauce. It was filling, but not too heavy and very flavorful. Service was very fast and helpful and I would definitely go again.“

“Ordered takeout - there’s no seating inside or outside. I got the cold cuts banh mi and shrimp spring rolls. The banh mi good, but it could have used more pate (it was a little dry) and more pickled veggies. The shrimp spring rolls were tasty, and the portions were generous. There are definitely some better spots in the City, but no major complaints.

As a heads up, the payment process is a little strange. They clearly prefer cash and would probably be cash only if they could. You can pay by Venmo or card, and when I asked what they preferred, the cashier said Venmo but they still add tax to your total through the register.

“If you're looking for an exceptional place to get coffee and a Vietnamese Bahn Mi, you must visit Fresh Brew!

I was greeted promptly and did not have to wait long to order or wait for the food and coffee to be ready. You can tell the owner takes pride in his shop and was happy to have visitors.

The iced coffee was vibrant and perfectly balanced. Not too strong or watered down. It was refreshing drink to have on warm SF afternoon.
Instead of typical pork, I tried the chicken Bahn Mi. The baguette was crunchy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. It was filled with fresh vegetables and pickled veggies along with the perfect amount of sauce. There was no skimping of chicken, just the right amount to make the sandwich filling.

My only small complaint would be the lack of seating. However, it's a small shop in a dense area of the City so that's to be expected.

Prices are very reasonable for the portions, no silly up charges. I would highly recommend this coffee shop for lunch. Next time I will go earlier and try one of the breakfast offerings.“

“The pho here is ridiculously good.I love meat but I couldnt eat meat one day but i came here anyway and just got plain noodles plus soup and it was still delicious.the broth is insanely flavourful especially with chili oil,the noodles are also the perfect texture and overall amazing.my one complaint is that there is not enough noodles but its so good i barely care.finding this place genuinly changed my life,its also pretty affordable with a standard medium pho at 14.50 and you basically just mix and match a bunch of beef options.“

“Came here with a friend and got the ribeye banh mi which was huge and so good! I'm glad we waited in line, it actually was not a very long wait in the end and the food came out fast.

Good:
- Portion size is super generous!
- The price is good
- The meat was so juicy! Loved the ribeye and they are generous with how much they give you
- There are some good picnic blankets nearby and it's not too bad

Bad:
- Long lines and no inside seating

“Just tried for the 1st time today and ordered takeout bbq pork banh mi sandwich and a Vietnamese iced coffee. Seems like a family owned mom&pop shop, super sweet friendly service. BBQ pork banh mi sandwich was excellent, perfectly toasted bread on the outside, soft on the inside (not hard and rough like other banh mi sandwiches that hurt the roof of your mouth), delicious BBQ pork flavor, stuffed with fresh yummy pickled veggies, flavors were spot on. Vietnamese iced coffee was good, could be a bit stronger and creamier for my tastes. Overall would highly recommend. Can't wait to come back. =)“

“I’ve been searching for good bun cha since I left Hanoi. I think I’ve finally found it! The “special entree” is 10/10. I got it with the lemongrass pork chop, and I was SHOOK when it arrived! A huge portion for only $16! The pork was seared nicely, and not dry. Ive walked by this place everyday for months, and I can’t believe it took me this long to try it! “Highly recommend coming for the Dungeness crab without having to venture out to San Francisco 🫪

We tried the peppercorn crab. The batter was perfect, it was white (meaning the oil is new). Again, I don’t like using my fingers to eat, but PPQ makes it easy. They give you a bib, sanitizing wipes, and napkins to keep your fingers clean. We will be back to try the salted egg and curry options 😊

We also enjoyed their beef papaya salad prior to the crab. It was refreshing and delicious. In addition, the garlic noodles are highly recommended too. To finish it off, we ordered a bowl of white jasmine rice to eat with the crab seasoning.

There is also a parking lot, but look for parking further away if none is available instead of circling around. It’s a pleasant walk around the nice neighborhood.“

I was in town for a medical procedure at UCSF and needed something warm and iron rich. My husband had the spicy beef pho and I had the short rib and ribeye pho.
