“Food is delicious and prices are reasonable. But BE WARNED that the website for this restaurant is maintained by a third party (Simplemenu) that adds 15-20% to the price for each menu item for pickup and delivery orders. This upcharge is not separately identified or disclosed on the website. I pointed out this issue when picking up my online order. The cashier shrugged, was aware of the price difference, and explained that they don't run their own website. Try calling instead to get the actual menu price - although it's very hard to get anyone to answer the phone.“

“It’s a huge explosion of salty and umami!! If you like strong flavors, I highly recommend it. ㅜㅜ 2 pieces of corn, potato, and sausage per person, and garlic noodles (this is the amount of garlic for Koreans). Please make sure to order it. It's so drinkable..“

“We ate a meal of three different spring rolls (come with four halves each): the grilled fish, BBQ pork, and BBQ chicken spring rolls. They come with delicious a peanut sauce and fish sauce. The grilled fish and BBQ pork ones were our favorites! There is only a small amount of seating outside, but the service was so kind and attentive. Will definitely go back and try other dishes!“

“"Well, hot diggity dog, if Banh Mi Viet ain’t the tastiest thing since a Texas barbecue, I don’t know what is! This here banh mi’s got bread that’s crispier than a tumbleweed in the desert and soft as a summer breeze on the inside. And the fillings? Shoot, they’re fresher than a daisy in spring and pack more flavor than a cowboy cookout! The mix of savory meats, pickled veggies, and that zesty sauce’ll have your taste buds doing the Texas two-step! The folks workin’ here are friendlier than a critter at a country fair, and they whip up your order faster than a jackrabbit on a hot skillet. If y’all want a sandwich that’ll knock your boots off, Banh Mi Viet’s the spot, y’all! Yeehaw!"“

“Pho was great! Order was ready quickly compared to another spot I had tried to order from. I love having the option to select beef broth with my veggie pho! The soft fried tofu in the veggie pho was so good!! The grilled shrimp and pork spring rolls were delish too! Will definitely be back - nice to have so close to my home!“

“Super friendly staff and generous portions! I got the spring rolls with tofu and avocado added and my parter got the tofu and mushroom banh mi (with avocado instead of mayo, since we're both vegan.) Both very delicious. Also wanted to try the spicy seitan sandwich but didn't see it as an option until later – next time!
Dietary restrictions: For vegan options they have tofu offerings, and can sub in avocado instead of mayo. Also a spicy seitan sandwich but not sure if that's going to be a permanent menu item.“

“The best Vietnamese food in the Bay Area! Prices are excellent. Get the Number 5 to sample everything. I would come here at least one a week if I lived nearby! Order to go if you don’t want to sit in the tiny 10-person space. The food is worth it!“

“The #1 egg rolls were perfectly cooked. The crunch was excellent! They're very nice also. Extremely accommodating and wheelchair accessible (double entrance doors).
Parking: Street parking where you pay the machine and put the ticket on your dash.
Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly. They probably have high chairs, I don't see any though.
Wheelchair accessibility: From the sidewalk, double-door entrance.“

“With prices going up, this is still a local staple at 6 something a sandwich. He packs my Bacon Bahn Mi with a good amount of meat! No cutting corners here :)
When I used to work in the area, I'd get their lunch plates they have wrapped up in the open fridge. Viet BBQ Chicken, Fried Egg Roll, and rice noodles are my go-to.
They also serve noodle soup, which a friend of mine way back said tasted like her mom's, very good; Chicken Pho.
Parking: If lot is filled there's always plenty of street parking“

“Pho is all about the broth, and this place was amazing. You can tell the broth was cooked with a lot of bones and flavors like star anise because you can see the nice fat in the broth. I consider myself a bit of a pho connoisseur, and this was the best pho around El Cerrito. Portions are generous as well. I recommend the large combination (PHỞ XE LỮA) beef noodle bowl.“

“Food was incredible, very fresh and authentic. Just be wary of the local streets, we made the mistake of walking through O'Farrell to get to this restaurant. On a positive the food was worth the risk of getting mugged and watching people use needles.“

“This place is the truth. I keep ordering the same thing - pork vermicelli with the extra side of rolls - and it is so, so good every time. I'll have to try some other items! Plenty of food (I'm a big eater), good price and friendly service. Enthusiastic 5 stars.“

“Just a fantastic little Vietnamese spot. While their pho is fantastic, and well worth ordering, the menu also features less standard fare like goat soups and various other specialties (I love the peanut noodle soup, which I order with mixed noodle). Efficient, friendly service and a clean, simple atmosphere.“

“Can’t decide between egg rolls or spring rolls? Enter the Cha Gio Cuon…egg roll in spring roll. GENIUS! My companions had the chicken soup and fish banh mi, both also excellent. Their broth is super flavorful and the price is right. Owner and crew are very attentive.
The restaurant is beautiful with modern murals of Bay Area life, but eating near sundown was quite unpleasant in almost all tables due to west facing sun. Simple drapes/blinds would help.“

“I went here after work! I was famished! I was so happy w how cute their decorations are! The music was lovely! Sauces chili oil so good! And i cant believe they have Banh Khot! As its a bit labor intensive. Ive only had it at Tayho. Well this is their mamas recipe! Its a crispy coconut crepe w shrimp. They gave me fancy butter lettuce shiso and mint wraps for each one! I feel so pampered! Its now my favorite order! Noodle soup too is perfect for winter rainy days. Parking is a lot and super convenient location! Thx so much for feeding this famished lady. ?
Kid-friendliness: Yes christmas decorations and festive music . Kids menu too!
Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp no incline really“

“I love Pho Vy! The environment is always very friendly and welcoming. Mom and pop shop located in Little Saigon. They have off menu items along with their variety of goodies on existing menu. My go to’s is their bun bo hue, bun rieu, bo kho, rice plates and all of their appetizers. Always a supporter of local mom and pop shops.“

“I’m sad that I have just found this spot and was missing out for so long. The sandwiches are huge and heavy (I normally split my sandwich). I would recommend calling in your order, as it normally takes 20 mins to make.
Our favorite sandwiches:
- Grilled Pork Vietnamese Sandwich: My favorite sandwich! Packed with tons of flavor but balanced with the pickled veggies
- Combo Vietnamese Sandwich
- Meatball and Egg Vietnamese Sandwich
I’m excited to try the whole menu eventually.“

“Their pho combo is great for introducing someone to tripe and tendons or for converting someone that typically hates it. It seems cleaner there or that they trim off the less enjoyable parts. The soup is aromatic, not greasy and clear.
Rice plates and rolls are great.
GET THE PANDAN WAFFLE.
They also have a Street Fighter 2 cabinet.“

“Typical Mom and Pop breakfast place. I only gave it 3 stars for atmosphere because it's an older restaurant in a wild location in San Francisco's Tenderloin district. The prices are really good and the food is as good as you'll get at any diner. If you're hungry and in the area it's a great place.“

Only this place) tangy and tasty Banh Mi & Bowl.Among their various product, 5 spices Banh Mi / Shrimp Bowl(with Extra Noodle and Extra Fish Sauce) are my best.Vietnamese coffee is also good, I barely order it as my company has a coffee machine though...“

“One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants! Great food, great service. Totally clean and good place to eat, not really a place for "atmosphere" but you wouldn't expect it to be. Get the combo rice plate with the pork hop and shrimp cake!“

“The Bun Cha Ha Noi is better than the Bun Cha I had in Hanoi. Legitimately the best Vietnamese food I've had since Vietnam. They're friendly, quick, and authentic. I struggle to find Bun Cha in the US since it's a northern dish, and I shouldn't have to explain why Northern Vietnamese cuisine is so rare here. Second time I've found it in the United States and it did not disappoint. I'll be stopping by every time I come to San Francisco.
Dietary restrictions: They asked me multiple times if I had allergies. First when we sat down, then again anytime they brought us anything with any sort of allergen. If you have an allergic reaction here, it's on you. They won't let you order anything that could cause a reaction without asking if you're allergic.“

“Back when they still had their location in Chinatown, this was the only place I’d buy Banh Mi sandwiches before they went mainstream. We’ve been their customer for almost 30 years.
Now that they only have this location open, we STILL only go here to buy Banh Mi sandwiches. It’s pretty much the best in Nor Cal.“

“Step right up, order and pay first, menu on the wall - fast service, delicious, fresh ingredients, Spring rolls and egg rolls done just right - the meat is marinated and sweetened and perfectly grilled, the pickled carrots, green onion, daikon are all still fresh and nicely rice vinegared. Great lunch place, we'll be back to try the Banh Mi next!“

“Staying at the Claremont this week, found this little hidden gem and it is amazing. I call it hidden because even though I could see it on the map I'm bad at navigation and had a hard time finding it.I only got the original sandwich as I have never had one before. It was absolutely amazing and I hope to stop by again before leaving. Their menu prices seem unheard of in this area and they were slammed busy when I went for lunch. They did move fast though.“

“Their bahn mì and pho are exceptional. Amazing peanut sauce too. Usually the bahn mi bread hurts your mouth but theirs is softer and chewy and makes the buttery taste extra good. The tofu filling was great. Spring rolls great too!

“Excellent place!! I had the grilled pork banh mi, it was absolutely delicious. The meat was really well marinated with lemongrass and fish sauce, by the taste of it, and it wasn't too fatty. The banh mi had the right amount of pickles and cucumbers, and the service was quick and amiable. I intend to make this a regular spot for me.“

“Super delicious Vietnamese restaurant and I would highly recommend anything and everything on the menu. Ordered the Bun Thit Bo Xao (lemongrass beef noodles without broth) and mango salad (which includes pork belly and shrimp). The lemongrass beef was plentiful and super tender, a great fish sauce based dressing on the side and plenty of veggies and noodles to pair with the beef. The mango salad is a must get, tender and plump pork belly, snappy fresh shrimp, sweet succulent mangoes. I would come back anytime.“
