Kevin's Noodle House is a consistently good and solid Vietnamese restaurant, famous for its pho. The food is very, very good, absolutely delicious, and amazing. The pho is a classic, with a rich and flavorful broth, big portions, and all the things you want. The #2 pho dac biet is noted as better than the #1 because it comes with beef balls. Other popular dishes include the thick noodle soup with chicken and pork broth, the crispy egg roll appetizer, chicken wings, beef stew, and the bi cuon appetizer. The chicken noodle soup is made with both chicken and pork broth and includes sliced pork and ground pork.
The restaurant is big, spacious, very clean, and spotless, with a comfortable vibe. It is not too loud. The staff are attentive, super nice, polite, relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely wonderful. Service is fast and the food comes out quickly, even when the restaurant is full at dinner time. They never rush you, allowing you to take your time and enjoy your meal.
The experience is affordable, with meals around $20 a person. Portions are generous, leaving guests pretty full. The restaurant also has chili oil available and offers bubble tea. This location is considered the best branch by some, offering a better and more comfortable experience than others. It is hands down the best Vietnamese food in San Mateo County for many, a place to keep coming back to.
