The complimentary chili sauce added a lot to it, it was very fragrant and not too spicy. I finished all of the broth, which is something that I rarely do. That was really damn good broth.“

“This place is similar to the one in Cupertino. Their menu is exactly the same. The Cupertino location is much bigger and don't feel as cramp. Seating in Cupertino location is definitely more spacious.

In this location, since it's smaller, the tables are very close to each other. You can hear next table's conversation. There is no privacy. Be careful what you say during meal.

The Chiu Chow Duck, Hainan Chicken, the noodle soup and Brined Tofu dishes taste exactly the same as the Cupertino location.

Both the Chiu Chow Duck and the Hainan Chicken are their signature dishes. They are both excellent and are must-haves.

The Brined Tofu is good too. Outside is crunchy and inside is soft. Recommend eating this as soon as it comes to your table, or outside crunchy skin becomes soggy.

One interesting difference is this location has Braised Pork Knuckle in the menu while this dish isn't available in Cupertino. We tried it and it's excellent. The pork knuckles are tender and flavorful.

The Wood Ear Mushroom salad is very disappointing. It's almost tasteless and the flavor is super weak. The one in Cupertino taste much better with stronger flavor.

Despite we came for late dinner, we had to wait a little bit for a table. Once you are seated and after food is ordered, food came out fast.“

ordered the duck and mushroom soup, pan fried buns, and their combo D which included wonton soup and noodles with peanut sauce

duck and mushroom soup was the worst thing we ordered. $10 for a tiny pot the height of a toilet paper roll, but narrower and with thick walls. would recommend to those who like stringy and still half dried mushrooms.

the pan fried buns were good, though they were on the oilier side. very fragrant, and tasted delicious with their vinegar.

the wonton soup was the best out of everything ordered and tasted quite delicious, but the wontons themselves were low quality—they were small, which is fine, but the filling tasted like fish balls and not actual meat.

the noodles were a bit disappointing. they were soggy and the sauce was probably something you could make at home with peanut butter, soy sauce, and sesame oil. their menu says that the pictures are for reference only, and that's very true. the noodles looked completely different from the picture on their menu, whether it was portion size, color, or even noodle shape.

they had complimentary side dishes and the spicy tofu skin was great. nobody told us they were available, though, and we found out when we were going to use the restroom.

“This palce is a certain of community and history on Bernal Heights. Old friends come in to greetings of hugs and kisses from the staff. New patrons are welcomed in almost equal fashion! The food and vibe is hearty and made with love. No Reservations. Come over, put you name down, but you can enjoy wine or beer from a freat ludt inside or outsides as you wait. Shhh!!! “The former Hunan Mifen location has transformed into a Yunnan-style restaurant called Miss Shang. I was happy to see that my favorites—the spicy beef bone noodles and wild mushroom rice—are still on the menu despite the change in concept.
On this visit, we ordered the Roasted Chicken Paella, which takes about 40 minutes to prepare, so ordering ahead is recommended. The rice was aromatic and packed with flavor from the chicken and morel mushrooms, while the chicken was tender and juicy.
A standout appetizer was the Yunnan-style crispy tofu. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and tossed with plenty of fresh herbs, it was both flavorful and refreshing. We also enjoyed the tomato soup with meatballs—the meatballs were fragrant, juicy, and pleasantly bouncy.
Don't skip dessert. The rice-flavored ice cream was creamy, chewy, and not too sweet, with a texture similar to gelato. The Pu-erh tea ice cream was equally delicious, with a rich tea flavor that came through beautifully.
Overall, Miss Shang offers a unique Yunnan dining experience with thoughtfully prepared dishes and memorable flavors.“

“Dumpling era had authentic dumplings, noodles, and other Chinese dishes.

The sheng jian bao was yummy, but a little too thick IMO. I prefer the one in dumpling home.

The egg and chives pancake was crispy and had a sweet sauce.

The tofu sheet noodles were my favorite. The sauce had numbing spice.

The shredding pork in garlic sauce had woodear and bamboo shoots. The bamboo gave it a good funky flavor that I enjoyed.

We also got the shrimp and chives water boiled dumplings.

The service was friendly and they didn't rush us inspite of the fact that we were seated for a long time.

We also got the stir fried pea shoots. I loved these.

The spicy sauce at the table was very hot and reminded me of a momo chutney.“

“I’m not usually in the San Mateo area, but I happened to be nearby with a friend for some tech-related work and decided to place an online order from Udon Mugizo for the first time. It was a Saturday and the restaurant was clearly very busy, so I expected the pickup to take a while, but everything was ready smoothly and the person who helped me, possibly the manager, was genuinely kind and attentive even with so much going on. I was honestly impressed by the quality of the food too. Everything tasted fresh, carefully prepared, and much better than I normally expect from an online order. “Came here for the stinky tofu, and tried some of the other Taiwanese specialties... The fried green beans was a stand out, and the garlic cucumbers was very fresh. Also ordered the stewed pork bento box, which was their version of Taiwanese stewed minced pork over rice, which was served with a stewed whole egg, boiled bok choy, some yellow oshinko.... The crab pork soup dumplings were gigantic, about twice the size of the soup dumplings at DinTaiFung, but couldn't quite match up to it's famous brethren in terms of quality of ingredients. Then again, you're paying less than 1/2 the cost. Service was friendly and quick.... Finally, the stinky tofu wasn't that stinky... But did meet the expectations.... “Waited approximately one hour to be seated. Spoiker: it was well worth that wait. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and pork buns. I can't decide which part was better, the noodles or the broth! The pork buns were priced just right at $8 for 2. Some of the best I've had. You are all so lucky to have such a wonderful ramen bar in your community. “It’s a busy place with lots of seating. They seat you quickly, they bring the food out almost immediately after ordering. The pho broth is delicious and flavorful with generous amounts of all the standard sides and sauce options. They have large servings with a side of lettuce, cucumber, and pickled carrot and radish. They take the bowl and let you choose which sauces/fresh garlic/ seasoning you want on it and throw it on a flat top grill with a bowl full if noodles. It's great for the price. “Found this when I look for Korean restaurant that serve noodle soup. This restaurant is next to hospital which I think in a good location. Next to it is boba shop which I saw some customer went to the the boba shop after their meals.
The interior is very simple, with couple tables and the dishes photo all over the wall which looks inviting.
The menu is pretty complete with many varieties of Korean dishes. We order Spicy Seafood noodle soup and Stir fried noodles with black bean sauce.
They give 3 type of banchan, daikon, beansprout and kimchi. The kimchi is sweet and later I saw it is from a big jar that you can get from grocery store. I wish they make it fresh in the restaurant. At least if have it from jar, don't show the jar.
The noddle soup is yummy but not spicy. the Stir fried noodle is served with hot iron plate. the presentation is good but I just feel it is too sweet.
The server is very nice and very energetic. Only one server serves all the tables.
Overall it was ok meals. May be next time we will try other dishes and wish they make the kimchi in house.“

“Street parking can be hard but we were lucky to find one not too far away.

It was busy on a Saturday evening with what seems like a lot of regulars. We were a party of 5 and they sat us at a table for 4 and added a chair on the end. Once we ordered, they moved us to a big table. We ordered way too much for 5 people. Ending up taking a lot home.

Everything was very good. Except the veggie was a little too tough/mature. And the mixed mushroom with egg tofu was not mixed mushroom but only one type of mushroom. The egg tofu was very good with the broccoli.

The bbq pork with chicken appetizer was good too. The bbq pork was so juicy and flavorful.

Portions here are very big and prices are reasonable.“
