“Amazing sushi! Easily one of the best we’ve had in a while — everything was so fresh and flavorful. I love the idea of half rolls; it’s such a great way to try more kinds of sushi. The staff were super attentive and efficient. We’ll definitely be coming back!“

“Solid lunch place! Came because I wanted to try Ox9 but didnt want to drive so far. I tried their traditional hand pulled noodle / beef combo with cucumber salad and lamb skewers. Well worth my $20. You can choose your spice level and pick from a variety of noodles. I went for spicy and wide flat noodles. Probably too much chew for me, but I wasn't mad at it. My husband tried the beef stew with rice noodle and that was probably more to my taste. It reminded me of shin ramen and this chinese mustard green / pickled veggie soup that I like. Pleasantly surprised by everything and would add this place in our rotation of restaurants. Its not fancy but its tasty.“

“Surprisingly tasty fusion cuisine. The gelato is my favorite. The only downside is the kitchen closes at 8pm and some of the signature dishes take a longer time so I didn’t get to order them. Arrive early to able to order the full menu! Highly recommend it if you are looking for something that sparks joy.“

“I was blown away by the balance of flavors. The Dan Dan Noodles were spicy yet nutty, while the General Tso’s Chicken was perfectly crispy with a touch of sweetness. The Mapo Tofu was creamy with a spicy finish that made the meal unforgettable.“

“Very good! Loved getting the peanuts and cabbage salad as we sat down.
The best:
- pork and chive dumplings
- spicy wontons
Good:
- ground pork and tofu golden soup
- bbq steam buns
Underwhelming:
- cucumber salad. Normally I love this dish, but the flavor of the sesame oil and garlic did not come through on the cucumber. It tasted like the cucumbers were plated immediately after being crushed and chopped instead of getting some salt and 5-10 minutes of rest.“

“I’m Thai and my family was in the restaurant business so I know Thai food. Our group of over 10 people dined here today. Food was great. It was a team event so we requested a prix fixe menu and budget control. The restaurant was very responsive and go above and beyond to help us with the arrangements. The menu options was good. We had some vegans in the group and vegan options were good too. Everyone in my team loved it. Thank you for a wonderful evening!“

“This is the best freaking Chinese food/dim sum with an amazing price point. MY FAVORITE SPOT!! I used to go to city college and their dim sum would let me get so much food for cheap, and keeping me fed throughout the whole day I would have at school. I love it there and they make everything authentic every morning it’s so bussin.“

“Fairly new restaurant on the north end of downtown San Mateo. It got pretty busy Saturday at noon, but I was able to snag a counter seat. They have a frozen dumpling section so of course I had to buy some wontons to go. They were understaffed though - the poor lady looked so flustered and had to deal with 5 things at once. You have to head backto pay, and I ended up waiting a while before someone checked us out. I would come back though, many more items to try.
Dandan Noodle - not bad at all! hot sauce would make it better
Popcorn chicken - could use some sauce but was somehow addicting“

“Always like their old type seaweed pork/ shrimp wonton. Last week 6/2 ordered same dishes wonton soup was totally different- most fillings of wonton were outside not inside filling 🙃 lol 😆
The other two noodles were tasty 😋 and very good looking 👌“

“Udon Mugizo is still a trustworthy place for udon. The tonkotsu one is still the best with perfectly cooked eggs and all the assortments on top. Somehow the appetizers like chicken karaage is not as good as before/ other branches. What I like about this branch compared to others is more relaxing vibe around the bar area. It would be really cool to serve the food across the bar rather than on the side though lol. Despite comments here and there, it is still a good place that I would come for udon over other chains.“

“We love it! This is party tray. Fresh, tasty, thick fish.
Love it every time we order to go, or eat in the restaurant.
There's plenty of parking next street, so that's not a problem at all.
Love their friendly and fast service!“

“This is a good old Cantonese place. It has been my family go to back in the days. Now a day, they don't have that much business. We do stop by ever so often to get our OG food fixes in. Some of their servers is a bit rude, but don't mind them. This is just how they work.“
“So I stopped in to pick up a catering order from a different restaurant and it was to my surprise when I seen this place in serramonte. I had no idea. I was stoked! I love it because you could choose whatever your palette desired down to the flavoring. The secret to this madness is to try and stack as much as possible in your bowl (smash down your protein). It was lunch and dinner for me!! It's a must try on the to do list!!!!“

“Waited approximately one hour to be seated. Spoiker: it was well worth that wait. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and pork buns. I can't decide which part was better, the noodles or the broth! The pork buns were priced just right at $8 for 2. Some of the best I've had. You are all so lucky to have such a wonderful ramen bar in your community. I am from Maine and will be sure to stop by this establishment every chance I get once I am in town.“

“Great late night spot. Korean chicken, so, so good! Had the spicy noodle soup with mussels, shrimp and squid, really hit the spot. Large portion had to take half to go. I will definitely go back. Atmosphère is basic cafetería tables and booths, very food court like feel. Don't let the atmosphere deter you from visiting this late night chicken and soup spot.“

“It’s a busy place with lots of seating. They seat you quickly, they bring the food out almost immediately after ordering. The pho broth is delicious and flavorful with generous amounts of all the standard sides and sauce options. They have large servings with a side of lettuce, cucumber, and pickled carrot and radish. The drinks are quite good as well. I’d definitely recommend this place for a quick and delicious meal!“

“Kevin's Noodle House is the proverbial new kid on the block on Grand Avenue, and it has stepped right into direct competition with Ben Tre. It honestly feels like two local titans going head to head for neighborhood pho supremacy.
That said, I personally prefer Kevin's. I definitely have a soft spot for it since I grew up going to their other locations, and this one delivers that same familiar comfort. The food hits the spot, the flavors are consistent, and it feels dependable in the way a good noodle house should.
The space is clean and modern, and service has been friendly and efficient every time I have been. They renovated this building quite well. Ben Tre is still a strong option and longtime favorite for many, but Kevin's feels a little more my speed. One little quirk I noticed about the waiters - none of them write down orders. They are very good and always get it right. I am glad they opened here, and I will keep coming back.“

“Amongst many local eateries this was a gem. Great service with a smile. The decor is simple and familiar and includes a large screen video of Vietnamese food preparation.
Coming ourselves from a city full of Vietnamese restaurants the flavours here were spot on. The portions were larger than we expected.“

“Found this when I look for Korean restaurant that serve noodle soup. This restaurant is next to hospital which I think in a good location. Next to it is boba shop which I saw some customer went to the the boba shop after their meals.
The interior is very simple, with couple tables and the dishes photo all over the wall which looks inviting.
The menu is pretty complete with many varieties of Korean dishes. We order Spicy Seafood noodle soup and Stir fried noodles with black bean sauce.
They give 3 type of banchan, daikon, beansprout and kimchi. The kimchi is sweet and later I saw it is from a big jar that you can get from grocery store. I wish they make it fresh in the restaurant. At least if have it from jar, don't show the jar.
The noddle soup is yummy but not spicy. the Stir fried noodle is served with hot iron plate. the presentation is good but I just feel it is too sweet.
The server is very nice and very energetic. Only one server serves all the tables.
Overall it was ok meals. May be next time we will try other dishes and wish they make the kimchi in house.“

“Upon entering Pho Ha Tien, one is immediately enveloped by a symphony of olfactory splendor—the unmistakable perfume of star anise, charred ginger, and long-simmered marrow-infused broth coalesces into something near-spiritual. The ambience, though unpretentious, serves as the perfect stage upon which culinary transcendence is performed. Each bowl of pho is not merely a dish, but a poetic revelation—a sensorial tapestry that awakens dormant memories and ignites the imagination. With each sip of the deeply umami-laden broth, I am transported—not to the streets of Saigon, necessarily, but somewhere ineffably tender and personal. Despite my unmistakable upbringing as a white male from suburban America, this broth whispers to me in a language I didn’t know I knew, recalling long-forgotten afternoons of innocence and warmth, as if my soul had been waiting to remember this flavor all along.
The imperial rolls arrive like minimalist sculptures—clean, delicate, and hiding unexpected complexity beneath translucent rice paper. The sauce, velvety and subtly nuanced, functions as a kind of edible sonnet, perfectly complementing the verdant crunch within. There is a certain ineffable lightness to the entire experience, as though each bite cleanses not just the palate but the spirit. I departed Pho Ha Tien feeling unburdened and luminously restored, as if kissed by the breeze of a midsummer morning. One doesn’t merely dine here; one communes with something essential, something eternal.
If you can only do one thing with the rest of your life, you’d be remiss to not visit pho ha tien“

“A solid local spot in Millbrae! We were staying near SFO for the Super Bowl, and needed a quick option after being in the city. Food was quick to prepare, and the portions were also plentiful. The food was also quite affordable for the price point. We recommend!“
